I tried the method below but when i arrive at this step:
- Select the option 'Module Test', then 'Stability Test' then 'Enable Root Permission'
Under 'Stability Test' there is no 'Enable Root Permission' option!
I use the branded Vodafone version v10b-jul-10-2010 from the Netherlands.
Method tried:
http://android.modaco.com/content/l...-modaco-com/310737/how-to-root-your-lg-gt540/
Are there any other methods on the stock firmware? All i can find is the 2.1 root method.
Thanks
Universal Androot is what I used when on 1.6

In this build, the superuser was integrated in system config menu, not a independent program.
And, the "temp unroot" function disappears. I need run some program in unroot state, not just without root permission.
How can I get the temporary unroot state in this version ROM?
hi guys i just rooted my htc one Gold and flash a custom recovery twrp 2.6.3.3
and after that he asked to install supersu i hit (install supersu) in the recovery menu before rebooting the device
then i installed xposed installer and few apps that's required root...
the problem is when i open any app that request supersu permission it gives me 2 options : 1- 15minute grant 2- next time
like in sense toolbox 5.5 i changed the battery icon and few things and after one hour i did a reboot and it all back to the original settings (stock htc sense 5.5)
so is it a supersu permission issue or what ?
how to make sure that supersu give me a "always grant" option ?
Hi kinaneh,
I'm not too sure what's causing the "always grant" option not to be available but you can always grant access from inside the SuperSU app.
Open SuperSU > Settings tab > Default Access > Grant.
The downside with this method is that you won't be able to deny root access to apps without denying access manually through SuperSU

Hi,
I suggest you ask in the thread you got the toolkit from. Otherwise, I'll have your thread moved to your device section... Here,

Go to this link for root .254 firmware http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2405933 or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2440375 . Good luck :good:
Go to http://towelroot.com and click on the lambda icon to download the app towelroot. Ignore any warnings from chrome.
Install towelroot on your phone. Open it and tap on 'make it rain'. If the device does not not reboot then you have root. Reboot and check if you have root with root checker app.

Help?
Rooted my phone with Odin, using a Stock Rom, and a .bat file which installed KingRoot, BusyBox and Safestrap.
Then installed twrp thanks to this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...unlocking-galaxys-s5-bootloader-t3337909/amp/
After that removed KingRoot and installed Magisk, but the Magisk Hide setting was missing.
Found this solution https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/2-solutions-problem-magiskhide-disabled-t3758889/amp/ but can't follow it, persit.magisk.hide and the magisk folder are missing in my phone.
¿Anyone knows what to do? (I want to use Netflix without losing root access).
PS: I have root access.
PS2: Using Mobile, can't upload images.
That is usually caused by the kernel lacking the necessary features for MagiskHide to work. Details:
