I've been looking around on the web to find a way to get my battstatt widget to show the exact amount of battery remaining. I saw it a lot in the post your homescreen thread and was wondering what people were doing to get that. I can only get my widget to show to the nearest 10%. My first thought was that it was kernel/mod related but I haven't found any info on it.
Thanks for your help.
My guess is you have a Droid. That phone will only update in 10% intervals...
Ahh that would explain a lot. Thanks!
The ten percent inc. Can be fixed by altering the frame work.. there's an online kitchen that does it for you. Gis for the super circle battery kitchen I think.

Flip Clock beta

There is a 4x2 flip clock widget.
It actually works, maybe it falls under the lines of not being animated but by peeping into taskiller while it's running I see an app script being ran and I'm sure if I were to close it the widget would stop.
But I think this is very interesting! Hopefully we start to see more innovative things such as this.
What does being animated have to do with it running a process... while it's running? Are you saying there is a flip annimation?

Yea the actual animation works on the widget, I think it works because when I peep into task killer it has that web page frame icon and I think it runs off of there.
In my opinion, the battery life sucks without a bunch of animations....

Oh a Widget Dev, we need to be friends I"m always full of ideas Lol.
But yea the g1's battery life is awful :/ I normally get 4 hours before I'm in the orange so now days I make it a game to see how far I can go after it dying, I think I got 7 hours once and that was the bees knees.
Wow really? My g1 goes for about 15 hours before dying, sometimes more, anyways id love to see some animations
What is everyone's favorite live wallpaper and where you got it from?
Galactic Core. In the market.
the mario live wallpaper is easily the best
Flying Toast
New user, so can't post a link, but look it up on Appbrain. It's in the market.
Mario live wallpaper. And it doesn't consume my battery as other people have mentioned before

Nexusmod, but I think that recently got removed from the market. I also like aSpiritBomb and Pixel Zombies. Both of those are in the market, but kind of drain battery.

Found another one: Justpictures!
It's actually an image viewer (better than the default, in fact), but it also gives you a live wallpaper that cycles through select favorited pics. Probably doesn't drag down the system like other live wallpapers, too. Free, too.
Thunderstorm live by far my fav
pay app .99 worth every cent for me
Nevermind. I figured it out.
my fav is NexusKang live wallpaper 'found in the market.
I really like the Light Grid wallpaper. It isn't interactive, or move when you switch screens. It is really costomizable; different colors, different size blocks, etc.
Personally I like having seasonal wallpaper, and being able to change the colors frequently is a way to have consistency and variety together.

Wakka something or other. Its really pacman. Free. And customizable to the point that the board will form around your widgets. That and galactic core.
From a phone on an app
If someone knows of a wallpaper that uses the camera and works on the galaxy s please post the name.

shake them all, and zoomfield are pretty cool. i use zoomfield most of the time
'Seeds of Life' is awesome, and goes great with Samsung's TouchJizz if you have any sense of humor. You can find it in the market, along with 'Aquarium Free', 'AndWobble2 Premium' (if you're creative), and 'Bokeh Rainbow'
I wonder if this

will work on our Fascinate.
I really want battery like that. Can some one point me to something similar available for fascinate? All I need is percentage on battery icon. That's it.
Been done
(apparently I cannot post links but the thread is in this forum and is called "[REQ] Accurate Battery Mod/Theme")

I just found this app, this is perfect for AMOLED screens. Looks great too.
This is not my app, just like to share it. Also the clock being wider than the screen is BY DESIGN, I like it, just like the ZuneHD/Windows Phone 7 UI.

Good find, thanks. Purchased.

That does look nice. But 69 cents? I thought the lowest it could get for developers was 99 cents? Well, whatever.
It's now showing on the 2.3.1 because I emailed the author regarding the Market issue, and he took off copy protection soon after.
Is there any way to disable the clock on the lock screen? It would look much better

I'm wondering the same thing, lock screen clock gets in the way.
Can you change font size and the order the time and date are in? Curious before I buy.
I can see why but the free version is very limited so I can't really get a feel for if I'll like the paid version. Of course I could just try it I suppose, thanks to the 24hr refund policy
just bought it, it is only 69 cents. very cheap but looks great.
I'm worried about the battery drain. While it seems to not do as much depleting as other live wallpapers, my battery usage seems to be dropping faster than I'm normally used to. After a full night's charge, by the end of the work day (5 PM), with moderate use, I have roughly 50% or so left, give or take. It's currently 4 oclock and my battery is at 37%.
How is everyone else' experience with this wallpaper and battery?

Full version is updated with more options and better battery life optimization. And promise of weather info in the next update. Good wallpaper just got greater.
With the new update the time is not centered and I'm not really a fan of the bounce animation. Wish I could go back to 1.3.2 version.
nice concept, but... it's an aweful waste of space in the home screen real state
you have to sacrifice like 3 rows of icons to be able to see the time & date properly
i'll hard to integrate into any theme design
i'll stick to Fancy Widget for time + date + weather
Yes

Download widget locker from market. It basically adds another home screen for your lock screen that you can add/remove widgets (stock clock) to your liking. I use this anyways because it gives you access to your notification bar without having to unlock your phone and gives you many many more unlock options. It also gives you different slider options if you want to keep the feel stock or change it up.

I agree. The good news is, according to the developer's website, he plans to re-center the clock in the next update.
