Well, i was browsing stuff on ebay, and came across these batteries very cheap (0.11 cents plus 9 bucks shipping) and i wanted to know if they were any good or if they would blow up my phone.
I bought these for the hell of it. still waiting to receive them
Me too, and there was just 1 minute left before the bid ended XP
I got 2. Maybe it was something software wise but my battery indicater was all over the map. It once said I had 52% left and then after a reboot it said 74% they work great as a backup but I wasn't too happy using them as my primary batteries. The stock one registered fine before and after. I even tried clearing the battery stats and tried again with the same results.

Hello, I'm new here and was looking around and saw this thread. I have these batteries and charger. They are as good as the stock battery and the charger works good. I also got two of the 3500mah with a charger and back cover for $22.99. I'm getting over 44hrs uptime with them. I am currently at 68% with 22 hrs uptime and 4.5 hrs awake time. They've gotten better after three charges. It's nice to go a whole day without worrying about juice.

Yes, and also, if you have the android sdk on your computer, you can look in the tools folder for an program that monitors your phone. I do not recap the name of the program, but a quick google search should help you

I bought this package the first week I got my phone it's well worth it, as I'm a heavy user and use 2 or 3 a day. they last about 80-90% of the stock battery (in my experience).

I think I got it. I had 54% battery left and the battery is a 3500mah from Hong Kong.
well, i finally got them, they are 1500 mah, and they are about a millimeter thicker than the oem 1300 batts, its a bit harder to put the back on, and i dont notice any wierd battery notification icons. i will be on the road tomorrow, so i can record watever i get, and post it here

My battery lasts 8-12 hours depending on how bad I beat on it.
My active days, I listen to music, play suduko, check xda, play in the market. Listen to tune in radio.
That said. I don't know if that is short. I think it's pretty long, and am happy with it. I have the decrapified rom, love it. I have App Killer by Rechild set on a widget. So I go in set what I want it to regularly kill, and tap the widget through out the day. It's mostly my android process that hogs the battery according to widgetsoid.

does juicedefender help a lot?
12 hours seems like a long day and good amount of hours. i hear task killers are bad for your phone though
I was averaging 9-12 hours with decrapified 1.1 depending on use. JuiceDefender extended that another 1-2 hours but added 4-6 seconds before I get 4G back when the device "wakes up". It turns the radio off and I have it set to ping instead of constantly syncing. 3G comes on 1st, then 4G...

Sounds ridiculous but i turn airplane mode on when i'm not using the phone. Turn it off every couple hrs to see if i got any emails or texts or something. Huge battery savings. I have the accurate battery mod posted in the dev forum so if i wake it up after sitting for an hr it's down 5% if i leave airplane mode off, but if i turn it on, it's down like 1%... maybe.
Once cm7 is available, we will see huge battery improvements, i have no doubt. Gingerbread is much better w/ the battery than Froyo. I saw huge improvements between cm6 and cm7 nightlies on my droid, to the tune of 200% standby improvements. Still heavy use i wouldn't expect more than 15 hrs, but imo 10 hrs is ridiculous. There's not really a huge difference between heavy and light use in battery time either.

good to know! thanks. when is cm7 available for the revo?
Thecubed is currently working on it.
Buy an extra battery and wall charger off eBay... Throw the battery in your back pocket, and you're set all day. I swap the battery out after about 8 hours (when I get to about 20% battery) and I'm good the rest of the day. I've had to do this with EVERY Android phone I've purchased. The OG Droid would only get me about 10 hours right when I got it, but Undervoltage Kernels, and decent Rom's brought it up to around 16 hours on the standard battery. The Samsung Fascinate was horrible - Roughly 6-7 hours out of the box. Rom's got it up to around 12. The Droid Pro - 8 hours at most on the standard battery, never saw any improvements with my usage. Droid 2 - 10 hours out of the box, but when CM7 came out on it, I was averaging around 16 hours before I got the Revo. The 8 hour battery life didn't surprise me. I kinda expected it, and had already placed my battery/charger order before I went and got the phone. I'm not a fan of extended batteries just because of the extra bulk, plus finding a case w/an extended battery is a PITA. And the 3 minute downtime from a battery swap really isn't that bad (especially if you've ever had a Blackberry).

Agreed, I don't buy from overseas with the battery but the charger really doesn't matter. I got a genuine LG battery for $19 and then just a generic charger for it for $8. Knock on wood I haven't had any problems with the chargers I've gotten, but I don't trust generic batteries either.

verizon has for 50% off so is $25 including back cover had a extended batter for droid 1 makes battery issue go away can use alot more without recharge
Up to 20 hours normal use til completely dead battery , on standard battery.
I'm fine.
wow
wish i got on 4g or 3g all day?
stock rom ?
just curious i am lucky to get 8 hour shift and down to 30 %
on 4g and custom rom also
Unleashed, unl3ashed. how ever you spell it. 1.4
Normal use for me tho, is the phone sitting idle in my pocket a lot cause of class and what not.
I'll send out probably between 100-200 texts, talk for 10-15 total minutes, maybe do a web search or two.
Battery profile set to turn data off after 15 minutes of inactivity, background data off. Screen brightness all the way down.
Like I said before in another thread, you could turn CPU scaling to ondemand and that, from my experience, saves a little juice, but has random restarts. You could also try leaving it on the stock mot_hotplug, and turn the max freq down and see if that helps.
I'm on 4g half the day, 3g the other half (when the radio is on of coarse).
Gotta recalibrate the battery too if you haven't done that. I've done both the app, and the manual way in CWM, both work fine, per long as you do it with the phone at 100% plugged in, and let it completely die before you charge it again.
What do you mean recalibrate the battery? I didn't think I had to do anything with it???

gotta be rooted, thats the fine print per say.
If you can't calibrate it yourself, best to just let the thing die, charge it to 100%, and let it die again.
Still, if that's still what they're going for at Verizon, it's really hard to beat that price-point. I got one and I love it. Over 24 hours on stock with my usage.

Have to have the extended battery. half off doesn't hurt either.
i dont know how you guys get 20 hours on standard battery? do you mean to have 20hours of ideal time?
I picked up the extended battery at launch and love it. I was planning on running the regular battery on the weekends but find I like the feel of the extended case in my hand. With the original for some reason it feels like the phone is going to slip out of my fingers.
Look, every day or so I dig through the Unl3ash3d threads praying to find some magical fix to my battery drain issue.
I've tried to convince myself its just the 1% messing with my mind but I can't keep living a lie. My battery drained this morning 10% in under an hour with me not even touching it (screen off).
My engineering mind goes into troubleshooting mode. Seems like some are having battery problems and some are not.
What has everyone chosen during set up for the location settings? I think it gives the options, google, verizon, our stand alone.
Could this be the culprit?
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using XDA App
And before anyone asks, yes I calibrated battery. Did it manually the first two times without any improvement then I even used the silly app in the market that does it for you.
GPS is never actually using power unless an app is using it (and you'll see the location icon in the notification bar). I would turn off any apps that use GPS in the background, but I wouldn't worry about it otherwise.

I was having the battery drain issues, but they seemed to get fixed after I re calibrated , and let it fully die before I charged it.
I have mine in a custom batter profile. the radio is set to turn off after 15 minute of no activity.
5h, 5m on batter at 86% right now.
Sent out couple texts, couple apps updated like weather, made a few short voice calls.
Screen brightness is all the way down.
I remember I used to use the "ondemand" scaling setting for the cpu, that seemed to help with power, if its that big of a concern (you will have to deal with potential random restarts tho).
Maybe try re wiping and re flashing? Or start eliminating apps?

My stock battery ran down by about 10 hrs for me and my use and I have BW installed too. I bought the extended and now i'm still at 70% at 10PM when I plug it in for the night. Everything else is default settings. I check 2 emails accounts, twitter, facebook, talk, skype and voice constanly. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Good luck.
But I hate the camera, it sucks.
You do realize that once your battery hits full charge the phone stops charging and starts feedinding off the battery until you unplug the phone and reconnect it. So one you active your phone in the morning it was probably charged a good 6 hours before that point and during that time it was draining the battery so you get thaf sudden drop first thing. I dont think most people realize thjs.
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using xda premium
They design the charging system like this on purpose. If the phone kept recharging every time the battery dropped a couple percent it would kill the battery very fast. Batteries have a limited amount of charging cycles before they are no goodeverytime you go into a charging phase that subtracts a cycle.so if it did this 30 times a night you can see the problem. I would not worry about that ten percent and instead track the last 90 percent and see how much lief that gives you. I will bet its on par with most others.

I'm Testing Them Now
I got two 1800 mAh batteries and a wall charger from Amazon. I have deep cycled one of the batteries so far, but I need to run some more cycles. Also, I need to put the original battery back in and time it to see how much more, if any, I am getting from the replacement batteries. I will try to report back in a few days with better data.
As for the charger, it can charge the battery directly, outside of the phone. And it has a USB port for charging the battery in the phone. So if you swap out a dead battery, it can be charging while you are using the spare battery in the phone. The charger is small and can easily be carried in a bag or briefcase.
Awesome. For 17 bucks I'll try it out.
I got the SaFPWR Fusion 2 case with the 1800 MhA battery. It works great, I run off of the case's battery all day, and sometimes it runs out and switches to my phone's battery around 10 at nite. Lasts me all day, even using Pandora, internet, e-mail, textes, etc.
Pretty pricey, but it's a case and extra battery, so I just looked at it like if I got and paid for both.
Plus, it has a year warranty, so I can just go in and get a new one before the year is up.
Case makes the phone a bit heavey, but I don't mind, feels like it gives it a more solid feel.
I've ordered the two 1800 mah batteries plus this so i should be set for the life of the phone which is till the edge comes out, this stock battery is pathetic, the amaze has a 1820 mah and its not even lte

I would go with one of these 1700mAh or 3400mAh from Mugen.
1800 mAh batteries not any better, for me anyway

After running one of the 1800 mAh batteries through 4 full discharge/cycles, I got 20-40 hours per cycle. (Note, my usage pattern is probably less than most folks.) However, after running the 1650 mAh battery that came with the phone through 5 full sycles, I got about 48 hours each time, except for one where I got 24 hours with much heavier (for me) use.
So, I think I can say that the 1800 mAh batteries don't really provide significantly more power. They are the same size as the 1650 mAh battery.
The main benefit is simply having a spare battery in an emergency. Also, the charger can charge the battery while out of the phone.
PS: At night, I will put the phone in Airplane mode. It uses little power while I am sleeping, extending the battery time.

I signed up because of this thread. Its great to find others that have tried this. I have posted some of this on other sites..
I bought the 3600mAh from ebay for about 13 bucks. Popped it in and it was at 75%. I used Battery dr. app to see what usage time are compared to stock. Even at 75% it should have been more then what the stock batt had.... but it didnt.
Anyway, I thought it was a cheap chinese battery and just left it in the phone and charged it over night. I thought it was a wash and didnt thinking about it till later that day.. After it was charged the wife used it a little and hours passed. When I picked up the phone it was still showing 100% so I re-charged it just in case and ran it through a test.
Turned wifi on
Bluetooh on
sound at max
ran a long netflix move 2H:30min+
then did it again
and again.. haha
Anyway I didnt finish the 3rd time around, but it looks like I can get with all that **** on about 7 1/2 hours of netflex. Hell without wifi and bluetooth that might be over 8-9 hours..
I have not tested the stock one, but I dont think it will last that long. Which leaves me to think for some reason the Battery dr. app or something is not really forecasting the right amount of talk/video time. Also I ran Nav for over an hour the phone was warm and Battery Dr. showed the same temp all the time. maybe there is another app to try.. or maybe there is something in the battery that gives the phone info..
Well I'm still averaging around 27 hours so for $15 I think this is the best battery I've owned

I just dont know why any of the aops doesnt show the difference..
I just tried "one touch battery saver" and that shows the same talk time, surfing time as the stock battery..

Really happy with the battery life so far, I was being conservative on my last phone with battery however now I've got this I don't really think about it so much.
Charge when I go to bed.

I got my Nexus on Tuesday night and I'm only just charging it for the first time now.
I'm only a light user though.
Once - Over night
Last's all day wifi on 8hrs - BT 1hr - texting & a few calls
Depends. When I'm at home I charge once per day, but when in at work it just sits on my desk charging. I normally use the phone more at work then I do at home, so it's hard for me to tell if I could really get through a whole day work my normal usage. I have done about 12-14 hours or so with a couple hours of screen time and still had 15% left. To me, the battery has been about 25 percent better than the gnex.

I still love my Nexus 4 and it performs well still but the battery life is now beyond dire, charging it 3 times a day.
Is it worth paying a firm to replace the battery? My thoughts are that I can just put that money towards an inevitable replacement in the near future.

I just replaced the battery in my N4. It was simple, requiring only a small torx driver and a small Phillips, plus a pry tool. The battery was cheap on Amazon and says it is an LG battery.
The old battery would no longer charge at all.

I still get 4h of SoT, and 10-12 hours battery time - so I am still quite happy with my N4. Unfortunately the camera really sucks (even more now) so I will replace the beloved N4 soon.

Yeah, I am having intermittent camera issues, a lot of photos come out black even in good light.
It's another excuse to upgrade I guess, has been a great phone though.
I think I should try the battery swap thing, mine just cannot get more than an hour and a half of SOT no matter what combination of ROM, Kernel and Android version I try, and using it during my daily commute means I arrive at my workplace at already 60% even if I'm on extremely low screen brightness. Greenify doesn't help either because it's the actual screen on what kills it, as long as the screen is off the battery drain is negligible.
Worst part is that every single battery out there is a fake, just with a very high-quality copied sticker on it. AFAIK the only way to get a new original battery is through LG and for a price you'd be better just getting a new Moto E 3rd gen for a little bit more and call it a day.

I have decided to give it a go, what sort of screen time is your replacement battery giving you, was the battery from an Amazon Marketplace seller?
almost all day pluged on computer lol
