Opera browser crashes at launching. I have SGS i9000. Downloaded the app from anroid market. Any suggestions? Thanks
Firmware? I have successfully used opera on JG1 (stock), JM1, JM8, JP3 and JP6.
Maybe try uninstalling it and reinstalling through the market.
I do have one consistent problem with opera though, I can't seem to download files... :S (at least large ones, I haven't tried smaller files).

opera is making new browser for android
Opera mobile (coming this month)
i'm using opera mini, working great and fast
but my default launcher is SkyFire
only use Opera Mini, if SkyFire has trouble with some pages, which is like very very rare

has anyone upgraded to opera 9.5 yet?
I thought it already was 9.5
It is Opera 9.5.
Do you Mean Opera 9.7. I don't think beta is out yet.
9.5 is great, really like it. Cant wait till 9.7 and support for streaming vid/flash etc.
Hope they fix the custom keyboard bug though for 9.7. TD2 version or 9.5 works fine, downloadable version bugged tho.
tom
How is an upgrade performed? Do I simply download the newer version (when available) and install it and Opera detects that it is an upgrade or do I need to uninstall the older version first? Will all my bookmarks be saved or how can I back them up?

I had read somewhere that 9.7 will not install over 9.5 but will make a new installation. You will be able to choose between 9.5 or 9.7.
If it does install over 9.5 it will uninstall 9.5 then install 9.7. I beleive you will lose your bookmarks. That is if I remember right.

Yeah, thnx. But it does work on 2.2 and soo on. With the original ROM.
Every app works with the original rom. Is there a fix to this exept changing the rom itself?
Hi,
I am using Hyperdoid Gingerbread Nand rom for months without problems using Opera. Today I made the offered update of Opera but since that Opera stucks in startup and I have to kill the session! ? I already re-installed Opera but still not solved..
Am I the only one?
Thanks

works fine here. killer update too. includes proper cop/paste. running on Miui
on a side note Xscope developer is running a SCAM, has been changing "major update coming" date for at least 3-4 months now without updating the browser.
Doesn't work on mine either. I'm on Pongster's Hyperdroid.
Rom in my sig not working. Managed to load once then hangs. If using setcpu bring up the clockspeed and will load but hangs.
problem with ROM then.
cant install opera mini too
Same problem
same here with RAFDROID HD 4.0.2 rom , the solution was to unistall Opera Mobile Version 11.10 and install Opera Mobile Version 11.00 up4 !

hi everybody. i want to show you my problem during internet navigation, hoping someone can help me. usually, tapping on (1, in the picture) should appear a menu (2, always in the picture) that shows the possible choices.
on my galaxy note, when i tap on (1) the browser always crashes, because it can't open that menu.
i've tried dolphin hd, opera, firefox and the stock browser, and every browser crashes, so i can say it's a rom problem.
can somebody help me solving this problem?
P.S. i'm on GB LC1 pre-rooted rom, but i don't remember exactly from which post i've downloaded it, and franco kernel 10
or its a website issue
Works fine on my unrooted latest GB.

Try t.zedge.net
It's the mobile version and working for me on darkyrom 3.4.1 with speedmod 2k-12
i'm sorry, i have explained myself badly. that issue happens on every site, in both mobile and desktop version on each browser
That's weird. Have you tried wiping the cache and dalvik cache in CWM?
try using an alternate browser like, opera, mercury, dolphin or skyfire
Could also be caused by the theme you flashed(assuming). There was also an issue before w/ ICS Domination theme related to browsing.

Just as you said. It is a rom problem. Try to flash another GB rom. You can try Chrack's rom, DarkyROM, CheckROM, Cassie's XtraLiteRom. I tried all of these roms and have no problem with web browsing.
Is there any way to get the stock ICS browser to work on JB.
I am currently loving the ICS browser running on my JB Xoom because I get to use flash.
The Chrome browser does not support flash and I find it to be slow compared to the ICS browser.
I pulled the .akp out of the Xoom rom but it will not install on my Nexus 7 for some reason.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
(I was using Dolphin on the Nexus 7 for flash but today it updated and permanently disabled flash)
Read this thread , you'll need root.
Use Opera Mobile, it's not only faster than Chrome and stock ICS browsers, it's more compliant on HTML5test and supports flash, even on Jellybean (as long as you have the Flash player APK to install)

I tried to use Opera Mobile and it isn't stable at all on my nexus 7. For example, tried loading msn. com and it crashes immediately. I tried rebooting after install and it still loads the page and crashes out. I tried reinstalling and still no luck getting the Opera browser to be stable.
Yeah I gave Opera a try and it crashed when I tried using Flash on CNN. Old browser has been going strong since putting it on and following the directions in the other thread
Perhaps you could try using ICS Browser+?
ICS Browser+ was reported to crash in the other thread about chrome/aosp browser
