So I followed the instruction and updated my galaxy s to official JPM/JP6 via Kies. everything works fine so far except I can't use one click lag fix on it anymore. always saying could not mount something blah blah...
I also noticed that there are many ways of doing lag fix. Could anyone tell me which one is the best way to lag fix on JPM/JP6 and give me step by step instruction?
Would really appreciate it.
That's a typical message you get if an app you installed is on SD card. Look in the app settings on the tab "on SD card" and see if you can move apps on the SD to internal. Otherwise: just deinstall. When the TAB "on SD card" is empty again, try OCLF again.
OCLF from the market worked perfectly for me on rooted JP6. Huge improvement.

Hello
After running into troubles partitioning my SD using rom manager, i fiddled and found the fx for me!
Problem: use rom manager to partition sd and select sizes, phone reboots to complete actions and then clockworkmod recovery shows the yellow error triangle about signatures.
solution: goto goto install update from sd and then choose the option to disable signatures come back out of there and then goto advanced options then reboot recovery, this will then successfully partition the sd.
as i said i did not find this information anywhere, if it is double post i apologise, i am just trying to be helpful.

not all apps can be moved to the sd card, you'll know you have app2sd, by looking at how much free phone memory you have , you will notice only a slight decrease in phone memory due to dling browser cache, facebook cache or market etc.

do you not speak english? or do you just PHail?
what do you mean by "up rom"? upgrade? upload?
what rom were you before? stock?
disLagfix ? disable lagfix? is that what you mean? you would DISABLE BEFORE flashing, ENABLE after.
loading files via your phone? #1 you load TO your phone VIA a usb calbe or VIA wifi ect. #2 what do you ACTUALLY mean? that you cant push with odin? cant mount usb? ect.....
try including information, to help us help you, if you want help.
and using terms that we dont use, makes it obvious you didnt READ AND LEARN BEFORE FLASHING.

you cant 'upgrade' you need to flash the FULL 1.1 over your current rom. shouldnt need to disable lagfix at all, but it wouldnt hurt. the idea there is to disable BEFORE you flash the rom, then re-enable it AFTER flashing the rom.
if you flash the full rom over your current rom it will wipe everything for you, except items on your sdcard (pictures/music/apps that store data there, etc)
REmove ext. sd card,. odin back to stock with repartition checked.

I´ve had this problem before on di11i's 6.0 rom... just download the SGS Tools 4.5 from this thread - apply the "clean_thumb_db" script, reboot. The gallery should be back to normal after the system scans the media... well... this is how I fixed mine anyway!

Hi,
I have installed this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1061648
Everything if fine except that all the apps are installed in the internal storage even though the app are listed in the SD card. If I press the button "Move to SD card" the button remains highlighted for a second then my Nexus One instantly reboots.
Is there a way to fix it? I already run the in the error: "No space left on device".
Thank you,
colossus73
PS.
I post here because the forum doesn't allow me to post in that thread neither to send a private message to the guy who cooked the rom.
Hi colossus73
I have the same problem, i have the stock ROM, GRK39F
My phone is not rooted but it's bootloader are unlocked and i have Amon RA 2.2.1 recovery.
i first encountered this issue when i tried to update app that installed on my SD card and each time i tried to update it the phone were automatically rebooted itself.
when i moved the exact app to phone internal memory the problem was solved and i was able to update it.
but when i try to move apps to SD card via the android settings
(Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications -> On SD card)
the phone reboot itself...
I will appreciate any assistance because my memory is very low and i can't install any apps
this is easy to fix use App2sdx use this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=14363827 scroll down a few post n find my name i talk about this ...... when u install if u did EXT4 then you will have 1GB free internal space .... also try link2sd from here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.buak.Link2SD&hl=en or on full details on how to install n use link2sd click this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=919326 i also use this APP2SD https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.infolife.app2sd&hl=en

Hi, I tried the hints in the post below but with not results. I have reverted to old Android non stock roms and then I installed all the Android updates directly from the phone. Then I used Superboot to have root and now I'm an happy user of my Nexus One.
Hope this helps.

For some reason it can't mount the SDcard.
What to do?
E:Can't mount /sdcard/
Same thing happened to me yesterday either. I did this:
Take off the SD card
Install everthing on another disk.
Format the SD card from the hidden menu
Copy superuser to the root of SD card
Put the SD card back
Re-flash the rom
Voila! this time it could mount.
After reboot install everything back to the SD.
This is what i have done. And it worked. Needs a little work. If anyone has easier method use that if not use mine. Cheers.
Sorry I am a retard...
I accedently had the SDcard taken out.. God dammit.
How do you boot into CWM?
The my root succeeded, I guess. Since I am with a new ROM and everything.
But I need to boot into CWM and install SuperUser.
OR can you do it any other way?
I just wrote what to do.. What procedure are you exactly doing. Are you installing Huexxx's rom or just a v20x rom?
OH, didn't notice it was you Pondera
Well, I installed the v20N ^^
Just to get a soft start
"Install everthing on another disk.
Format the SD card from the hidden menu"
Easier terms?
Disk = sdcard?
What is hidden menu?
I am sorry, android rooting is hard do understand.
I am a techguy, usually, haha

Your rom is not rooted right now...
Well, SD card is the small external card you put back at the phone. Take it out. Copy everything on it into another disk (C: or D: or E anywhere you like. I mean copy the content.
Put back the SD card on the phone restart your phone. Press phone like you are about to make a call. Type 3845#*970# This is hidden menu. Here enter "Factory reset" Then press Format SD card. When it is done. Copy the superuser to SD card.
After all this start the procedure again. press volume + ..... an so on. This time in CWM mode SD card will mount. When flashing the rom is finished, after reboot. Copy the files from C: , D: or wherever you copied back to the Sd card. You are good go now.
I ma sorry if it seems complicated. I don't know how to explain different. Sorry.
Thanks, tried while waiting for response.
I managed to fix it.
I re-did everything from the start.
Installed the rom and when I got into the CWM again, I succesfully installed SuperUser
Thanks for your effort man (Y)!

No problem, glad if i could help. Actually you can only do it with CWM so: Yes, you can do it with ROM Manager. I am actually leaving gotta get up early and go to work. Keep me posted if you install Huexxx.
Successfully installed Huexxx last night. Can gladly say that it increased the performance with roughly 100%! (stock-ROM Quadrant scores vs Huexxx-ROM Quadrant scores)
In general I've noticed a smoother user experience and games now run ALOT better!
Can I use this Kernel together with Huexxx ROM?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1332311
It says that it's for CM7.
If I recall correctly the Huexxx ROM is a modded stock rom?
Or am I total wrong?
Ur right and since it is NOT CM7 what's the conclusion? I doesnt work, right ;-)

I think the internal SD card of my i9000 is corrupted. I've tried everyting: wiped/factory reset, reinstalling Cyanogenmod10, installing Stock ROM, installing stockrom with re-partitioning on etc. Nothing works. I'm using odin to reinstall the stock ROM. Flashing the stock ROM to my phone goes well, but then when I restart and android is installing, I get error messages like:
/can't mount sd card
After reading a lot on XDA, my conclusion is: broken internal storage.
Now I want to install everything on my external SD. So I bought a 8GB cat10 SD card.
Found this XDA-post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1893354 Seems very promising, but I seem to get stuck on '-- Extract initramfs from zImage ( https://github.com/mistadman/Extract-Kernel-Initramfs )'. I;ve got a virtual machine running Ubuntu. When I start the script, nothing happens..... the terminal just closes.
The easiest solution for my problem would be a ROM that is altered to directly install on my external SD. I red somewhere that ROMS like that exist. Can't seem to find one though.
Well.. thanks for reading my post, and accept my appologies for my bad english. You can probably notice I'm not a native speaker.
Does someone have a solution for me? Maybe know of a good thread?
Thanks in advance!

How do I have to flash? With repartitioning checked or unchecked?

I will like to install a new version for 4.0 or 4.1 but dont know how to change this kernel to work wit another 2.3.6 like jw4 or jw9
