I at first thought that the quick list in the default music player is like the now playing list in Windows Media Player, etc. which is a temporary playlist. But it turns out that you can't add songs to the quicklist except from the now playing view (that is, you can add a song to quick list only if it's already playing). So what's the point of quick list?

Hi all,
I have finally managed to get the album art to be displayed in the Touch Flo 3D. When I select a song from the library, the correct image is shown. However, I'm still not able to flip / browse / scroll through the different albums which are stored in the 4GB internal memory. Flo 3D just doesn't display the albums, only individual songs.
When I just unpacked the Diamond, there were two demo albums (with one song) stored in the device memory. Those were displayed correctly, but I've erased those demo albums, because the songs were not my style.
It seems that the Internal Storage is not scanned in a proper way to display the albums, because I get the message "Geen muziek gevonden", which is Dutch for "No music found". But the strange thing is, is that the individual songs are selectable through the library.
I used Windows Media Player 11 to synchronize my music albums. Anyone having similar problems, because I could not find a thread on this.
Is the album art included in the tags? If not you could try that. I don't know if WMP does that, but media monkey and other free apps do. If it doesn't even work then somethings probably not right.
I've added the album art in the tags using MediaMonkey. Before that, the images were not even shown, but as I said, I've managed to fix that. The only problem that remains is that I'm not able to scroll through the albums. Am I missing something? How do you select album flipping? Is this a special combination?
There are a lot of ways to show up album art. Mediamonkey works but i just put the song under content/music, create an folder with the artist name and put the song with a jpg picture in that map. Rename the picture to folder.jpg and you're device creates the album art. Under the touchflow select library and play the song so it shows up.
It sounds like your issue is not in getting album art to show at this point, but in getting the flip interface to show albums rather than songs, correct? I'm afraid you are mistaken about the original configuration. The flip interface always has and will continue to merely show songs. It's just that the original samples only had one song per album, so it looked like it was showing you individual albums. To browse through your albums, you need to drill down into the appropriate screen in the library. The flip interface will only show the songs in your active playlist.

Exactly my point.

Hmmm, could that be the case? Let me settle with this explanation (for now). Thanks!
I have a stock Sprint TP. I noticed too that the Albums disappeared from the flip interface in TF3D after playing a song. As stated above, to get back to being able to Flip between songs on Albums you need to go to the Music tab, select Library from the bottom then navigate to All Songs tab, select Menu > add to Playlist. Now all the songs in your library are in your playlist and will be displayed on the main Music tab in TF3D.
gbrailsford, thanks that worked great for me! I used windows media player to sync songs and put the album covers through
hi, i'd really like to use the touch flo music player but when i go into the library it shows upto three tracks of the same song, with two of the tracks having an exclamation mark next to them. even when i click on the song that has the music note/ album art, it wont play it (but it plays the song in wmp or s2p). i have deleted one of the tracks but it still shows three of this track in the library. the files are in 'integrated storage/ MUSIC/ $artist/ $album'. i've also seen the audiomanager_eng file stop working a couple of times. i have about 2gb of music at the moment.
thanks, kris
kpm, try to use Clone Remover. It's the best duplicate file remover i've ever met.
Hi There,
In my TouchFlow3D Music Tab, I am getting a very weird bug where the Music Library can read and display some info, but not other info. For example, as you can see in the attached screen shots, I can see my Albums, Artists, Composers, and Genres, but any display that shows song titles and artists is completely lacking information and only displays "Title/Text".
Even weirder is that the main TF3D Tab Display (CoverFlow-Style) displays the info with no problem at all. In fact, even if I click on one of the Title/Text Songs to play from the Library, when it loads into the main player, the info is right there.
And, the library looks fine in Windows Media Player.
What is going on?
Same here but even worst, first some of my music files disapeared from TouchFlow3D Music Tab, now some playlist, others are doubled with one empty. Any comments?
Mine shows music but not album art.
Since a few days ago, when I sync music onto my Diamond (I use WMP since I convert my MP3s to WMA), the album tracks are always mixed up. My previous syncs kept the album listings intact, but now they're random.
Does anyone know what causes this problem and if there's any solutions? Thanks.
EDIT: Does the TF3D Music Tab follow music tags? I'm assuming it isn't for some of my music since I have it properly tagged for track listings.
Track order...
I use WMA as I've always used Media Player when ripping my CD's to my PC. You're right, the tracks do get mixed up with HTC's music player (it may be the tags, I don't know... perhaps they assume we're all MP3 users!).
The best way to sync them (in my opinion), is to first create a new playlist within Windows Media Player (name it the same as the album), drag whichever album it is you want on your device into the playlist (the right hand pane in media player), then drag the playlist you've just created into the sync window (rather than the album itself). This will keep your tracks in the order they're meant to be in.
You may also need to rename the album art on your device because Windows Media Player sometimes calls the art Album_Art{blah, blah, blah...}, which admitedly seems a very descriptive file name for what it is, but HTC's Music Player won't recognise it, so the album art needs to be renamed 'Folder'.
Sorry for the long-winded answer. Hope it helps.
Thanks for the tip. Seems to help.
I still wonder what causes this to happen, gets annoying.
I had the same problem with my albums. I found out that TF3D sorts the music files by their track number tag.
So check your track tag, and number the tracks the way you want them to be sorted.
Hi, does anyone know how to resolve this issue properly? I mean, How to list and play WMA album tracks on Diamond correctly by track number? Because for MP3 it works fine, why for WMA not? File names and Tags are ok and works perfect in WMP, thanx for infos...
Is there some way to make the music play in random? I hate creating playlists and currently it plays songs in alphabetical order by song title. Also, I used Windows Media Player on the PC to sync songs to the Captivate, but many of the songs did not bring their album art over despite it being in the folder on the PC. Any fix for this? On my Tilt 2 I had a WinMo program that fixed this.
Toggle the 'shuffle' button
Does toggling the "Shuffle" button (on the "Now Playing" screen) not work? It's on the left, just above the progress bar - looks like two arrows crossing over each other.
Got it!. Thanks. Don't know how I missed it before.
