I have a problem with my samsung galaxy S.
I've rooted my phone but i can't get it to unroot i'm using Galaxy_one-Click_Root program but when my samsung get's in system recoverymode it only says the following options:
* reboot system now.
* Apply sdcard:update.zip
* Wipe data/factory reset.
* Wipe cache partition.
The program says i need to select reinstall packages before i can continue?
What do i need to do.
I'm unrooting it for the Froyo update

I just bought a Verizon Galaxy Tab and and did the permanent rooted with z4root, the root seemed to take fine, I have superuser access, other root required apps like adfree work, etc, however when I try to backup the ROM with ROM Manager when it reboots into recover mode a bunch of options including backup are missing, the only options I have are
reboot system now
apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
what it looks like is it's rebooting into the standard android/samsung recovery not the clockwork mod one, does anyone know why it would be doing this? I never had any problems like this when I backed up my EVO.
anyone know who to do it???
Okay so I am going to come straight out with it and say that I am in no way tech-savvy. I can usually work my way through most problems, but I really don't want to brick my phone, so I came here to try to get a definitive answer. Here's the deal:
-> I have an LG Revolution, rooted, with GingerVolt flashed.
-> The past few days, I have woken up to find that my phone was in clockwork recovery
-> I chose to restart it and it just goes back to normal
-> After looking around, I found out that VZW send out some sort of update.
-> Being the paranoid person that I am, I decided that I just want to unroot my phone and get it back to it's out-of-box settings (plus whatever the update is)
-> I have found some unrooting programs, but whenever I look at the compatible devices, the Revo is nowhere to be found
-> How should I go about going back to the phone's original settings?
Basically, I am clueless about what to do, and don't want to shoot blindly into the dark for fear of bricking my device.
Thanks in advance for your help!
1. Flash Rooted Stock ZV7 (dl available in the dev section)
2. Use One Click Revo all in one to unroot (dl available in the dev section)
3. Allow update to ZV8
4.???

In the instructions it says to wipe data, what does the mean? When I boot into recovery, I have the option to 'wipe user data and restore to factory' or something like that. Is that the same thing?

When you get that message you just confirm it doesn't actually do anything it just bypasses the screen and goes to CWM. You want to choose the option Wipe Data in CWM
When I reboot into ClockworkMod Recovery, I have the following options:
-reboot system now
-apply update from sdcard
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache partition
-install zip from sdcard
-backup and restore
-mounts and storage
-advanced
-power off
-+++++Go Back+++++
Which do I choose?

try this instead of the CWM module
Okay so I followed the steps listed and was able to flash the stock ROM. Then I used an app to unroot . When I try to ota update, it takes me to clockworkmod recovery. Then I click reboot and it says update failed. Suggestions???
You needed to install stock recovery, CWM is still your recovery partition. I believe you need to use option 5, or you can follow the guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1337386 and just install .tot v8, i believe. It is what I did.
Okay so I am almost 100% back to stock, but I am stuck on one problem. I still have the Superuser app. I am back to stock ROM and recovery, I OTA updated just fine, but superuser is still sticking around. How do I get rid of it??? Please help!
Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Super User> Uninstall, assuming that is what you need. When I flashed over the tot I did not have to uninstall anything, it completely wiped my data on the phone partion. But I also did do a factory reset after I got out of Clockworkmod.
Helle everyone,
i have a problem installing 'Tiger v6' http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2204479 & 'CM10.1 beta 4.5' http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2212409
Btw. I had to edit the install-script of tiger_v6 and delete line #1 because my android name isn't 'ariesve' but 'I9001'.
After installing, in a wide range of ways, the screen stays on the logo of the version installed. Still moving though, so it hasn't locked up or something
My phone info is :
* firmware : 2.3.6
* baseband : I9001ZSKP6
* kernel : 2.6.35-Cranium-OC/UV
* build : Cranium RC9
* Recovery : Feamod Recovery v.1.3
Means of installing :
Feamod:
1) backup and restore -> backup
2) wipe data/factory reset
3) advanced -> wipe dalvic cache
4) mounts and storage -> format /system
5) mounts and storage -> format /cache
6) mounts and storage -> format /data
7) install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard -> tiger_v6.zip
8) It reboots on itself
After that...on the appearance of the installed version logo, it freezes, I remove and reinsert the battery. I press the powerbutton and on the GT-I9001 screen it hangs a bit and continues after 30 sec or so. On the version logo itself now it flashes and does it thing but it won't continue further.
I've even done variations on the steps mentioned above. Like #7 first and such...but the end result stays the same.
Can anyone help me?
Thank you all.
I have a Rooted HTC Vivid running Android 4.0.3, HTC Sense 3.6, ROM 3.26.502.56, Software Holics-1.2, Kernel Version 3.0.38_Holics_0730:
I'm in a poor ATT cell area and have to put the phone in a specific spot on top of a shelf and talk via BT at my desk. When using the phone as a phone without BT, the other party hears garble. I can use a wired ear/mic but I am chained to the shelf. Last week the BT just would not turn on at all. I've researched, rebooted, even factory booted but the BT function tries to turn on and just goes back to the off position.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated as I am without reasonable phone commo without a BT.
Have you tried wiping all of the partitions using recovery. Or use the Superwipe script found in the devolpment section after try flash the rom of your choice and it should work.

Thank you. I have used recovery last time. Now when I try to go to SuperSU it shows:
1) "The SU binary needs to be updated. Continue?"
2) *Continue (entered)
3) "If you have a custom recovery like TWRP or CWM, that can be used to (try to) install the SU binary. This is recommended for HTC devices. How would you like to install the SU binary?
4) *TWRP/CWM
5) "SuperSU will attempt to reboot your device into TWRP or CWM. This does not work on all devices. IF this app just closes, please reboot into recovery manually."
6) *OK
7) "Shutting down"
8) Restarts into:
"- reboot system now
- Install zip from sdcard
- wipe data/factory reset
- wipe cache partition
- backup and restore
- mounts and storage
- advanced
- go back"
9) * wipe cache partition
10) "Are you sure? This can not be undone"
11) * wipe cache partition
12) * reboot system now
13) * Turn bluetooth on
14) + Doesn't turn on as before.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys,
First time post here. I've looked through the similar threads and I don't think any relate to my problem.
My issue is that after flashing Resurrection Remix ROM (which i believe i have followed the correct procedure) and reboot, all i am rewarded with is that the phone boots into the "downloading...do not turn off target" screen. ie i flash, reboot, and it goes to the download green android.
The obvious question is, what am i doing wrong?
To help you guys answer i'll list my processes below as i do them at the same time:
My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9305. Android Version 4.1.2. Original stock firmware is installed on the phone
All files were downloaded through the links provided at
HTML:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1815285
1. Rooted phone through Odin.
2. Flashed CWM through Odin.
3. Downloaded the ROM and the GAPPS zip files and transferred files onto external SD card.
4. Entered CWM.
a. wipe data/factory reset
b. install zip from sd card>choose zip from sdcard>installed the ROM.
At this point it all goes well and gets to "Install from sdcard complete.
c. install zip from sd card>choose zip from sdcard>installed the GAPPS.
At this point it all goes well and gets to "Install from sdcard complete.
d. advanced>wipe dalvik cache
Dalvik Cache wiped.
e. advanced>Fix Permissions
Fixing Permissions....Done.
f. wipe cache partition
Cache Wipe Complete.
g. reboot system
And low and behold, it boots into the "downloading...do not turn off target screen".
So. Questions are:
- is this ROM compatible with the GT-I9305? (im 99% sure it is)
- If it is, what am i doing wrong?
Please help guys, I am having the same problems with other ROMS. I DONT WANT SAMSUNG STOCK POO!
Thanks in advance.

Hmm.. Please try something like that: when your phone is showing "downloading... bla bla bla" press and hold power button+home button (together) for some time. This should reboot your phone normally. It seems like your recovery is rebooting your phone into download mode (needed for odin).
Try rebooting before installing GApps .
Other usual suspect is you are trying to install the wrong file for a different phone or file is faulty .

Hey guys..thanks heaps for your replies...I have fixed my issue!Lol just carelessness on my end...whilst looking through my original downloads, although not a 100% sure, it looks as if I downloaded and flashed the wrong cf-root package..I think I used the i9300 instead of i9350...so I started from the beginning and used the correct one and multiple ROMs have now been successfully flashed and trying them out thanks all
