Contact Pictures getting mixed up..

I recently added pictures for most of my contacts in Google Contacts and then synced them to my phone.
This worked well and the result was pleasing... except the next day I realize pictures are starting to get mixed up... Random contacts are swapping pictures, contacts that had no picture "steal" one from some other contact, etc... Note that these changes get synced back into Google Contacts! This is a huge pain!
Is there any known way to fix the problem?

This happened to me using eclair. But not warm donut.

I am currently using warm donut though...

Using vanilla base rom or a theme?

I'm using the Enoch theme along with the BlackXeth Dialer.

Try pushing the /app/Contacts.apk from the base install. That should hopefully solve your issue.

I will go through and re push all the images from all the contacts.apk's to the base apk again. I must have messed up and did some of them from an older apk. But i will say that this isnt an issue for me. Sorry guys

if you have trouble i will make a tar of the base contacts.apk when i get home. I will also put the base apks of all the ones i do in my thread incase people gt into trouble.

[Q] [Q/REQ][ICS] Samsung Galaxy SII Contacts app

I've gotta question/request, because I don't really like the stock ICS contacts app. I really like the Touchwizz contacts app, because you can swipe over a contact, and in my eyes it's more 'clear'. But whatever, I just wanted to ask, if it's possible to port the Samsung Galaxy SII ICS contacts app to our devices, or if someone has already done it..? I know that you need a part of the touchwizz framework etc etc. But the Touchwizz 4.0 launcher is also ported, so why wouldn't it be possible?

Sense Contacts vs. ADW Contacts

in the past i used Sense 3.5 on my DHD but now i had installed ICS with ADW Launcher and ich miss something. Under Sense the Contacts use the Profile Pic from google+ or Facebook an now i can´t find any option for this. Is it possible to get a app for this???? Sorry for my broken english. Thanks

Which ICS rom did you install ?
I'm not 100% sure, but I think that ICS already embeds that functionality: merging contact with their associated picture and so, as Sense does.

You must install FB or Google + and sign in and after that conntacts get synced.

I am running CM9 stable MOD and would like to have the stock samsung contacts app.
Can anyone port the contacts app from galaxy S3 ? because i would really love the swipe to call/sms function of the app.

Yeah, that would be an option but it lacks couple of important features. Firstly it can do the swipe to call in the dialer app but not in the contacts part and secondly it cannot merge contacts in the way samsungs contacts can. It would be nice to get the app from SGS2 or 3 running on SGS1 with ICS.

even I would love to have the same...contacts and dialer from the Samsung stock rom...

[request][Q&A] Touchwiz contacts, phone, message and calendar for CM10

Hi all!
I saw some ports of touchwiz launcher working on JB and that's pretty good, but what I really miss is the samsung contacts apk. Do anyone have a port of phone/contacts/message/calendar apks working on CM10, is it even possible to port that??
Can someone point me some guides and tutorials on how to extract and customize apk too? I'll try to extract those from a S3 by myself and if I manage to port them I will be glad to share here (I believe I'm not the only one who misses the samsung calendar).

This too is something I desperately want to be ported. TouchWiz is not just a good launcher, but a brilliant phone interface. I love the swipe to left and swipe to right on messages and contacts etc. As soon as I update, I begin to miss those neat features.
