[Font] StarCraft Font for Fascinate, and tip - Fascinate Themes and Apps

Hi. I'm new here, but I just make an .zip file for changing font for Fascinate.
I just flash it via clockworkMode recovery, and it works.
Please follow all directions below, and it is your own risk to try this.
[Required]
1. Rooted
2. CWM Recovery(Easy if using Rom Manager)
3. Backup all your data, just in case.
[Direction]
1. Download the attached file and put in SD card.
2. CWM Recovery Mode
3. Apply .zip file from sd card
4. Choose .zip file
5. Click Star_font.zip file
6. Apply
7. Reboot and enjoy.
** BACK UP you rom or data just in case **
TIP for Changing another font.
1. Find font file as **.ttf that you want to change.
2. Replace the file with Droidsans.ttf and Droidsans-Bold.ttf in Star_font.zip/system/fonts
3. Flash it.
** If you are not sure what you have to do, please do not try. **
Thanks.

[AUDIO][CWM3][01/21/11] Custom Boot/Shutdown Sounds - Edify/Amend

[01/21/11] These new .zip files are updated to work with all versions of CWM, the scripts are both Edify and Amend friendly. Enjoy!
Previews:
Startup
Shutdown
Shutdown 2
Shutdown 3
There are 6 files attached here, all flashable through ClockworkMod. The titles of the files should be self-explanatory. You'll notice that one of the .zip's will flash you back to the stock Epic boot and shutdown sounds.
I've confirmed that they work with DI18 stock (rooted), DK28 stock (rooted), and Bonsai 1.1.4, so I don't see why they wouldn't work on any ROM.
Your phone must be rooted and have ClockworkMod Recovery (any version).
*I suppose I must do the obligatory I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU JACK YOUR PHONE UP*
Instructions:
- download flashable .zip and flash through clockwork.
That's it, reboot and enjoy!

No, the sound effect is a portion of (what I believe to be) the Droid Incredible boot sound; I created the "epic" and associated sound processing.

Pretty sweet! It does kind of remind me of the first time I saw Optimus Prime transform in the live action move. The "Epic" part is a nice touch.
Need help getting this to work. I have done every step to the T, and still no avail. I have custom boot animations as well as custom boot sounds but, for some reason this one file just says unsupported file type after clicking on it in /system/etc folder. It plays while on the sdcard itself. So if you know a work around that would be great cause this boot sounds is awesome.

This is probably a dumb question, but did you unzip the .wav first? Assuming that you did, you should have a file on your sd card with the name "PowerOn.wav"; if you copy that file into /system/etc you should have no problem. Verify that you have a file in that folder with that exact name, not just the "PowerOn.bak" that you may have created in backup up your original boot sound.
What file manager are you using? I've done this using both Astro and Root Explorer and am able to select the file in /system/etc and it plays on the built in music player.
Added the option to flash through clockwork, updated OP with options.
very nice I will install this
reminds me of transformers or THX
Just flashed the CWM zip and dangit still nothing. I must have changed something in that folder. Im going to reinstall my rom and see if that fixes my prob. I really want this boot sound.

His ROM is exactly why I created this in the first place! Didn't care much for the one he included, but I love his ROM and the boot animation!

You read my mind! I've been learning about how to make one today. The only catch is, it will only work on a ROM with a custom kernel, or a kernel that has been modified and re-compiled. Currently the only Froyo ROM that I know of that this might be an option with is Mammon's Bonsai ROM (which is what I run).
I'll keep fiddling and see what I can come up with.
any thoughts for a similar one for the power down?

[Q] Samsung Keyboard

I had DL30 and loved the Samsung Keyboard, actually preferred it above the android, swype and gingerbread keyboards.
So i went ahead and I pulled the AxT9IME.apk and libXt9core.so out of DL30 and put it onto EB01. rebooted my phone and the Samsung keyboard came up as an option. Selected it and it just force closes until I switch back to another keyboard.
Does anyone have any idea what I should do to get this to run correctly? Am i missing another lib.so file?
Any help would be great. Thanks
Thanks imnuts for posting the zip file.
***See post 11 to download!
there was talk about this in the irc today...the file you need that makes the keyboard work with eb01 is actually from a captivate rom. it is called libdhwr.so. its working on my phone, but i dont have a link to the file anymore. ill see if i can link it to you somehow.
heres a link to the file... http://db.tt/xoNjtyc. ..i take no credit for this...someone else figured it out (sorry i forgot your name)
So where do u apply this file
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
i used root explorer and put it in system/lib...make sure you also put the apk file in system/app.
Awesome thanks guys that worked perfectly.
Anyone have a link to the apk

Got it working. Thanks for the lib file. I finally figured out how to pull the file from dl30.

grab file from the link above (libdhwr.so) and then down load DL30 to extract the files in my original post.
Then using root explorer put AxT9IME.apk in system/app folder
Then put libXt9core.so and libdhwr.so in system/lib folder.
I just rebooted and then the keyboard was there.

Edit: Never mind - download didn't work but i extracted the same file from dl30 and i am typing this from the Samsung keyboard now

CWM zip attached
Imnuts. Flashing that by itself would give me the keyboard?
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
Man I love the design of the Samsung kb but I really don't like the auto correct or whatever. When I'm typing it feels like the keys are shifting or something even though they don't appear to be? I hope that makes sense. Lol
auto correct can be disable in setting under language & keyboard then choose Samsung keypad. look through there and you will find the options to disable auto correct.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
You can also use Rom manager to install zip or using Rom manager to install with sos3's build your own setup and just download the Samsung keypad.

Saw the zip, everything is working now

New Cyanogenmod 9 CID Boot Animation

I have not seen this posted anywhere on here, but just in case anyone wants the new CID boot animation, you can download it here as it was recently released. Full credit goes to it's creator 73v1n;
Download URL as found on youtube;
https://rapidshare.com/files/2113393353/CM9ZipSavesV2.zip
http://www.mediafire.com/?wszii05t5ld13xt
http://www.4shared.com/zip/Ynjjiwom/CM9ZipSavesV2.html
Directions for those who don't know how to apply it just in case;
1. Download file, extract the "Vertical" folder from the zip.
2. Extract "bootanimation.zip" file from the "480x800" folder per our Samsung Epic 4G resolution, as you can see, there's many other resolution types for other phones.
3. Copy the bootanimation.zip file to your SD card.
4. I used Root Explorer to copy/push it by locating bootanimation.zip in directory; system/media. I'm on CM9 Beta4, file location may differ based on rom if I'm not mistaken. (Mount R/W to R/O, rename original bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip.bak just in case, copy the new bootanimation.zip to the same directory.)
5. Set proper permissions(hard press file/select permissions) on the new file you just copied as "RW-R--R--" or view the permissions of the original bootanimation first and follow suit.
6. Exit Root Explorer and restart your phone to see that you have the new boot animation, enjoy.

[TUT]mod apk without pc

hi guys today i'm here to show you the easyest way to theme your apk without using a pc.
I'm doing this because i don't have my pc now and i'm a little bit bored xD
prerequisites:
-rooted device
-root explorer
-zipsigner (free on play store)
ok LET'S GO!!
1) go to the desired apk and rename it from "apkname.apk" to "apkname.apk.zip" using root explorer (apkname is the name of your application e.g. whatsapp.apk->whatsapp.apk.zip)
2) extract zip using root explorer and you will get a folder with the extracted files inside.
3) go to the extracted folder and change the pics you want
4) be sure to rename the pics with the original name (if i want to change an apk's image called app_logo.png i will have to pick an image and copy it to the extracted folder in res/drawable folder, once here i have to paste the image and rename it into app_logo.png)
5) once you finished replacing the images go back until you see a folder called meta-inf,res,lib,assets etc etc... and press menu button, select all the items and zip all the files, rename the zip into apkname.apk
6) navigate to sdcard/speedsoftware/zip and you will see your zipped file, now rename it from apkname.apk.zip to apkname.apk
7)try to install your modded apk, if it doesn't install open zipsigner and as input file select your modded apk,as output file re-select your modded apk (rename it into signedapkname.apk if you want) then tap on the box to the bottom called "sign the file"
8) once signed install your modded apk using any file manager
ENJOY!
press thanks if i helped you
hope in theme section there will be a lot of modded apks with new ui

You mean "resources.arsc" ...
This file contains pre-compiled resources, such as binary XML(values, layouts and dimens... etc) for example,
and to edit this file you must decompile the apk using apktool.jar via PC only (can't be dicompiled/compiled via phone environment)

Themes for TWRP Recovery

These are themes i used on my DNA. I tested, and they work great on my butterfly s. Thought i would share with u guys. To use them, use any file explorer, navigate to your TWRP folder, open it, u should see a folder named backups, at this point u want to create a new folder named theme. Now go to your downloaded theme, copy and paste it to your new theme folder, now open the theme folder and change the name of your downloaded theme to ui.zip, now backout of the explorer, reboot to recovery, and u should see your new themed recovery. Downloads, and further instructions are in the link below. Enjoy..................
