yes (sorry if I continue in english but last year we had a discussion about the language used in the forum) ...it's the solution for your probs because if you install the english version of the unlocker it will install in a directory that in the italian version of the ppc does not exist ...this file has been modified to install painless

Ok thanks, i've try yesterady and everything work.
I've patchetd my BA with wm5 but i came back immediately to my old wm2003se with a new radio stack. My first impression about wm5 is that it's quite slow and in particular i'm not able at momet to use my dual sim adaptor.
I always use 2 sim cards and it' s very important to have theese in my BA.
I'm looking for a solution dou you something about that problem(dual sim)

ok.. you need to extrac the rar file and then only launch the exe. Remeber to recharge your trinity before flash ROM.
ok.. devi solo estrarre il file rar e lanciare l'exe. Ricordati di avere almeno il 50% di carica sulla batteria perche una decina di minuti ci vogliono.
Any other place to download from? Rapishare has already reached the limit...

In this ROM there's a splash screen with test picture?
It's necessary to remove the SIM card and the memory card before making the flash?

avviso che però potrebbe essere brand tim dato che finisce con 408.1 come il precedente firmware tim.
i think that this rom can be tim branded because the version number end with 408.1 like the previous version of the tim branded rom.

It's better do not restore any backup after a rom upgrade.
There is a screen with the same test "ONLY TEST" instead of the dopod one.
You can upgrade with SD and SIM, don't worry.

Ciao non ho mai avuto ROM tim, ma credo ci dovrebbe essere lo splash screen della tim e qualche icona ì-tim et similia, invece non c'è nulla. Credo sia no brand

I think the new ROM manage GPS and SDHC, deduces that loading the only part radio these implementations is not managed, is correct?

I'm trying to set bb service on Trinity.
I'm in Italy, my operator is TIM (I've a business contract)
I've downloaded the file BBConnect_PocketPC_BB_2_1_1_2_45 and installed it on my Trinity.
I was assigned with a PIN and IMEI. I register myself in blackberry website www.tim.blackberry.com.
So I've an account blackberry.
Launched the service in Trinity "Setting" menu.
Something seem to start: "E" for Edge displays two arrows.
It give me an IP address for one second (120.160.39.12) then everything stop.
I noted that:
my "Service List" is empty
In Utility page only the field "register now" is tappable but nothing happens if I tap.
In Option page "connection" is blackberry but it is grey, "detail" shows APN Blackberry.net; user name: rim; password: password; IP Address: 20.51.26.189; remote port: 19781; local port:19780;
in page "PIM", "Calendar" is the only field and it is selected.
in page "Information"
BB version 2.1.2.45
transport version 2.1.0.87
system version 214.253.39.155

No mi dispiace attualmente non funziona (e non ho ancora avuto il piacere di vederlo funzionante).

I have the same problem with TIM & HTC P3300! I think there is no solution. BB connect generates IMEI and PIN but the bis service sais they are wrong... :-(

Hello! In Italy the H3G operator switches to TIM gsm roaming when there's no UMTS signal in zone. Why it doesn't happen with my Diamond? I have tried different ROMs but with no lucky...

You have to read your contract, h3g in italy works in partnership with tim and where there isn't a signal, start the roaming with tim ("E" icon). Not only with your diamond but with all devices.
In most of the areas you'll have always signal....not bad c'mon, just take care and read roaming cost with internet connection

It works with my diamond,it's unbranded. I've H3G and it switches to TIM when it found no H3G signal. Try a different radio rom,I use 1.00.25.05 now, before it was the 03...maybe,I'm not sure about that
Try to turn off 3G in Comm Manager and go around finding TIM signal, if you found nothing,maybe it could be an hardware problem

I already have radio 1.00.25.05 and i'm under a good TIM coverage, but if I switch 3G off it doesn't work... just keep searching for a signal.
I hope it's not an hardware problem!!!!
switch to radio .08 it works better with edge (comes from HTC US)
you have to leave AUTO in your phone settings -> band
you can download it from dutty website

Io ho un htc diamond unbranded, con h3g come operatore. Il telefono andava in roaming con Tim talmente tante volte che ho dovuto impostare la selezione della rete manuale. Molte volte tre c'è, anche se con poco segnale, ma il telefono switcha a tim. La mia rom è quella ufficiale di htc. (se ti interessa attivare il roaming automatico controlla in comm manager che tale opzione sia attiva).

Ho preso il Diamond con una promo di 3... il cell non dovrebbe essere bloccato o altro, comunque. Rimane il fatto che proprio non mi va in roaming, qualunque settaggio io metta. Comincio a credere che la parte che gestisce il GSM sia difettosa...

well, try with another sim or another provider like tim,voda or wind, and see if they can switch to gsm.
Prova con un'altra sim di un altro gestore...e saprai se il tuo diamond ha problemi o meno.

oh my god!!
i tried with a vodafone sim and my diamond can't connect to the network... so it works ONLY in 3G and ONLY with H3G.
i'll try to change radio (from .05 to .08) and see what happens...
do you think it's possible that only the GSM part of my Diamond is broken???
I'm Italian too and my Diamond don't switch to TIM.
All the other sim also other operators are working properly but with H3G SIM is impossible to go on TIM. Someone has solved the problem? I changed my ROM and now I have the 2.03.408.3 ITA on Radio 1.00.25.05 but rarely manages to get on TIM. What can I do?
