So I'm gonna venture that this may or may not help with the bootloader unlock? Just like when the 2.1 source was released?
If I remember correctly...Motorola only releases MOST of the code...and small snippets are missing?
Even so, Birdman passed on cracking this nutty phone. I'm not sure who else is working on it, but I haven't heard of any real progress. I hope it's the entire thing for people that like to run custom ROMs.
This won't help at all with unlocking the bootloader, and for the time being only unsecured dev phones will be able to load a source built kernel.
So far it looks like they released most of it, certainly enough to build a functioning kernel with.

It seems to me that as Android grows devices are getting harder and harder to unlock the bootloaders and flash roms on. I would think it's due to carriers and manufacturers locking them down.
I miss my captivate days when it seemed like new roms were coming out every other day just about. Now it's a crapshoot to choose a phone that might get good dev support. I like htc phones but they are getting almost impossible to play with, and pickings are slim for att users. I know the best way to go for flashaholics is to probably buy Samsung phones but it's nice to try other things every now and then.
Just some thoughts of mine.

Actually it's quite "old news", most of us already aware of it But anyway, thanks for your effort to share it, and next time please do search before posting new topic that has been posted earlier

Overview
This is MIUIv5 for Droid Bionic.. you guys have such fun source..
I will not provide OTA update but will provide an update to this every 3-4 weeks which will be freshly built to reflect progress in this devices configuration as your source builders make them available.
IE: I will not update only MIUI while keeping the same base, I will update device related things so there is an actual improvement with the versionup of MIUI; hence no OTA.
Warning
This is Alpha software, although at a code level everything should be stable here.

@Tqr if you want to reopen it please send me a PM
And now im wondering if my phone needs a upgrade.
Problem is that i cant remember wich guide i used when i flashed my Note and the more i read the more confused i get.
Specially after reading about kernels that are unsafe regaring CWM.zip. I dont know if this is what i used on my phone so i though i ask here, hoping for a answer.
If someone would be so kind to guide me in the right direction i would be very happy
I took some screens but i cant seem to be able to post them due to low post count
edit: uploaded them to a album on my profile

Well, you can try hopping on over to the development area and try flashing CyanogenMod 12 (it's Lollipop, BTW). I hear it's stable!
