I know how to make regular icons transparent b/c I've already done that, but I can't seem to get the Folder one to work. I tried w/ Desktop Visualizer, but I haven't been able to use it to make a folder to put mulitple stuff in unless I'm just missing it. Can somebody help please?
Check out the app Folder Organizer. You can use custom icons for them along with a whole slew of other things. Great app. Check out my post alittle further down entitled Justice League icons to see how I used it.
Thanks man. I have that app on my SD card actually, but never got around to installing it, lol. I'll check it out now.
Is their any way to change the font on the folders? I mean to make the background of the font clear?

To all you Kaiser owner out there.
First of all, this is my first post.
But here it is, I'm trying to create a theme for my Kaiser (WM6.1), but I can't get it the way I want it. Because I don't know if it's possible.
I made a template with photoshop, to see if you guys out there can help me make it, or even tell me if it's possible.
It's kinda the UI of mac... and the top bar where clock wifi sound etc is...I want those 'icons' to be blue...
I;ve tried a lot of programs out there...
themegen etc...and I did search the forums..
thanks for any input...

Hi, not sure if that's possible or not since the top icons reside on ROM. If you look for them you will find the icons on the windows directory on the Pocket PC. Maybe you can edit them to something else and cook a new rom with those edited icons. But I doubt they will show in blue color since they need to be monochromatic.
Why don't you just use WisBar Advance Desktop since there are already tons of different themes including OSX ones.
Cheers!

thanks for your reply,
Yes I know it's kindda impossible, and there reason why I don't use wisbar, is because I want a free software.
but there isn't another choice
My apologies as this is probably a stupid question, BUT... can you install more than one theme on a TF3D device (I have the Fuze)? I only ask because I installed, for example, Herg's Flip Clock theme (white flip w/ black numbers) and then a few days later decided to install Matt's Fuzeberry theme and give it a try...and it was like Fuzeberry overwrote the other or something. I guess I thought it would install both separately and I could choose which one I wanted to us in my Today settings.
Do I have to uninstall one and then install another if I decide to switch between themes? This is what I ended up having to do. Is that right? If there is a better way, what is it?
Again, sorry if that is a stupid question but that was what happened to me and I guess I thought it would be different. I've been reading on here for several weeks now, learning lots of cool things, but haven't found this answered in my searches. Thanks for your time.
Bump.
Anybody? Please?
Hey there, Mark.
In order to replace a theme, you will need to copy+paste a file into your "windows" folder. This will, as you said, overwrite the files in there with what you're putting in.
But, if you want a number of different themes/styles to choose from, you should check this program out, made by XDA's Grumps:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=437420
This is a Manilla Customizer, and although I haven't used it, it will allow you to do what you're asking for allow you to choose from a number of different preloaded themes/styles.
Edit: It only works for Icons, Clocks, Sliders, and Curtains, not so much the theme.
Enjoy!

Ok, thanks for the response! Guess maybe that's what I'm looking for. I had read some posts where folks said they switched between themes or were loading another theme and I didn't know if they just installed the .cab each time or what. Thanks for your time.
I've been hunting apps for my fuze for a while, and I'm pretty sure that there isn't something that will allow you to change from one theme to the next. You'll have to go through the process of overwriting/replacing files.

Actually, Diamond tf3d Config will let you change themes as long as the themes are saved in .theme format. If you use cabs, you change themes by using Remove Programs and then running new cab. Either way, you can store your themes on storage card and change when you want. If you overwrite directly using total commander or something, then you run risk of having a mismatch of themes, of course that might me desired effect too.
Okay, so the process I've done the few times I've changed - uninstall current then install the new theme - is what I need to do. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't an easier way or something.
I appreciate the people who share the themes they've created so the rest of us, especially like me who do not have the skills to create them myself, can change up the look of our device by installing them. Great community here!
doh! Showaco is right. Are you using this program, called TF3D Config?:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=405749
Many of the themes you're using is in the .cab format, which installs itself. TF3D Config is actually a really neat app, in that it lets you choose from the themes that you've loaded into a folder. The themes must be in .theme format (not .cab), they must be on your phone, and TF3D Config will let you choose which theme to install from that list of themes.

I have been installing from the .cab files, yes. I will check into TF3D Config. Thanks for the tip!
i've been trying to figure out how to customize my icons for a while now. so far, i've acquire a program called ResHacker and downloaded numerous different collections of icons. however, i have no idea which file to navigate to, inside of ResHacker, in order to change the icons. I was able to track down the files for the manila editor, but the icons seem to be hidden a little better xD any help?
What icons are you trying to change?
the ones in start menu/quicklinks (youtube, facebook, task manager, etc.) and also the ones across the top bar (reception, battery life, start menu icon, etc.)
I use the program Restart for that. Search the forum for a download. Its very easy to use!
For start menu/quicklink icons, try JWMD Icon Changer
The "top bar icons" you talked about are called taskbar icons. There are plenty of custom taskbars around xda, just do a search for it (remember to include your wm build in the search)
actually, i was trying to figure out how to cook these changes into a ROM. i know how to change them once i've installed the ROM, i just can't figure out how to cook new ones into my ROM.

if you know how to get it all setup on your rom after flash like you want, then cooking it in is easy. get all your start menu icons/folder icons fixed on your rom like you want them, then use a reg editor to export this to your pc
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start]
now make an extended pkg, using this reg export as the app.reg and the pics for your icons in the files folder of the ext pkg. put this ext pkg to run at the end of cooking cycle so the registry or pics dont get overwritten and thats it
for taskbar icons, find a set you like and use cab2oem then extrebuild to make an extended package from the cab and place it in your kitchen.
sweeeeet! thanks TPC! one more thing. how do i edit all the shortcuts in my start menu? I was able to change some my editing the OEM_Lang file, but only about 30 - 40% of the shortcuts seemed to be located in ther

I'd love to see something like that! I've looked around at numerous tutorials and there's always something that is left unexplained or isn't clear :-\ Mainly, changing yourr XIP and SYS to 6.5.x. I always get module duplication errors and end up with a 7k .nbh lol
Like the title says. I put them in a couple places already. But still can't get them to work. Last i tryed I put them in, ADWLauncher>res>mdpi
Thanks
would also be interested in this... i like the wallpaper gallery for choosing the ... choices.
I suppose if i knew what folder contained them I could just move them?
well to get ringtones on the phone you put them in media/audio/ringtones. So the wallpaper gallery might go into /media/pictures/wallpaper(s) or /media/wallpaper(s). That would be my guess
that would be great, if those folders existed, but they dont.
I know there must be some place the WPs that came with this ROM are stored, not on the SD card... the wallpaper gallery is accessing something... somewhere...
but i'll be ****ed if I can find it.
probably total obvious n00b mistake, i'm sure, but I am stumped.
I had to make the media folder for the ringtones. Search how to put custom ringtones on android. My guess is the wallpaper gallery would be done in the same fashion
Sorry to tell you guys you are wrong. I know for a fact it has to be in the Launcher.apk (or what ever launcher you are useing.
If you put it in there and rename the image to one of the other images in there it will work. kinda a work around.
Hello,
I spoke to some people who created a few M'Flat icons. I will be making a go launcher icon pack (free obv), however, it doesn't quite seem to work. There is one thing I am asking and that is; does someone have a template?
An Android Studios project which I can simply put in mine, which is empty apart for the necessary files (so basicly the whole thing but then without the icons and without the xml assigments etc. do include the default go thingys though, such as the "allapps" icon and stuff like that. Just make it clear of icons. I tried downloading the pack they created themselves, the GoLauncher EX UI5.0 icon pack. It was full of errors, couldnt import it to android studios so after just renaming my images and resizing them, I replaced the one that came with it (via winrar), but it kept erroring out. I tried to use an old template someone posted here and imported it as Eclipse project to android studios, but it was full of bugs. I want to do all the assignments by myself, so that I know exactly what this theme will include.
If someone could give me a download link I would be forever gratefull.
Kind regards,
BremFM.
