Weird red light?

I'm on ICS leak. 213 and when I accidentally run voice control a weird little dim red light turns on... its to the right of the speaker. Anyone know anything about it or have it too?

it's for the proximity sensor. It's an infrared light, designed to reflect off your face when it's near the phone.

its used during phone calls, and when the "pocket detection" setting is turned on in gingerbread (not sure if its still there in ics or not)

[Q] Proximity Sensor issue in Slim

I just flashed Slim 4.2.2 build 3 and I'm having a problem with my face dialing numbers while I'm on a call. I don't see in Developer Options or anywhere where I can adjust the proximity sensor. Is anyone else having this issue?
can you see that screen is off when on call, with a mirror, if needed.
dirt or sensor fail can be a problem.
phone explorer app in google play will read sensor and let you know if it is working correctly.
sent via carrier pigeon, jungle drums and smoke signals.
I'll download the app and see what happens. I noticed the screen was dark when I'm talking on the phone.
Thank you.

Proximity sensor issue

Hi everyone
I've an issue with proximity sensor on my htc. It doesn't work.
When I tested it with an app it results "far" and this doesn't change when I cover the sensor.
What happens? Is anyone knows how to fix it?

[Q] Bad Proximity Sensor?

Hey guys, so the last couple of times I've made calls I noticed my screen would stay on during the calls. My ear would be pressing buttons during the calls causing havoc.
So I did a little research and found the hidden menu to test the proximity sensor, which is *#0*# on the dial pad. In doing so if your sensor is working correctly, at the sensor menu, the screen well turn green if the proximity sensor is covered. Mine doesn't, do I just assume my sensor went out or is there a procedure I can do to get it working again?
