I just updated my Galaxy S GT I9000 to Android 2.1 update 1, and now I can't log in to google at all. Maps, market, email, gtalk, calender, zilch. Net connection is active, I am able to use the browser, everything except logging in to google. Help needed! Baseband version is I9000DDJG4

I'm in Canada, on Bell. using the baseband version i9000UGJL2. Its not rooted or anything.
it started yesterday, but I can't connect to twitter, through apps, or even through the web browser. It will work if I have the phone on Wifi, but it won't work on 3G/HSPA. All other apps and websites work fine.
There's appearantly a new firmware out, but Kies won't let me update to it. I tried using the registry editor to force the update, but when the process starts, it stops and says its not available for my firmware version.
I had to use Kies (older version back around the new year) & the 1.7 reg editor to force update to froyo. Is there anything else I can do with what I've got? Or do I need to look into rooting it? I'm kind of new to all this, so any help would be appreciated. TIA
What new firmware ??
Most likely a Twitter/ your Twitter account /settings problem as its both an app and web problem .
Rooting will not help that's only gaining administrator rights over your phone .

I had my Galaxy S2 upgraded to 4.0.3 from Samsung. I wanted to downgrade due to battery issues and bluetooth problems.
I used Odin to install Gingerbread.XWKI8
Kernel version 2.6.35.7-I9100XWKI8-CL616395
Now I am unable to connect to the Outlook exchange server at work, and the Mail program pops up with the message process,com.android.email has stopped unexpectedly.
Can this be fixed?
Is there a better ROM available for me? I live in Norway and use Telenor as my carrier. If I have to downgrade to Android 2.3.4 og 2.3.3 that is better than having to make do without exchange and mail.
Hello,
I'm not new to flashing roms but I've never had this problem before nor can I find any info to help me on XDA or via google.
I can't access any google apps or services, when I try to I'm asked to sign in to google account, so I do but I get a message saying "can't connect to google servers please try again later". I have been receiving this message for three days now.
I can sign in to google fine via laptop & if I sign in via chrome on phone but gmail, play store, maps etc I get the same message. In my phone book/contacts I get lists of all my numbers but no names or pictures beside them, presume this info is on google servers.
I have tried flashing a new rom, new kernel, titanium restore of apps from date before issue, cleared delvik cache & many other tricks but no resolve!
Really strange, anybody experienced the same?

Hey all,
Just for funs I started up the G1 again today.
Now when I got it a few years back, I was able to finally downgrade with a goldcard and yada yada yada. Bottom line, I was in. I had my phone set up and all was working.
Today I start it up and it seems I have a log in error.
But somehow it wont accept my Google password.
I have 2-step verification set up. Could that be the problem ?
Anyone ?
I've been able to log in my Google account using two-step authentication, but have been unable to log in to Android Market. I'm running a FroYo 2.2 ROM (CM 6.1).
Google dropped support for Android Market on versions older than 2.1 in 2017, and I was hoping that it would work with this 2.2 ROM, but no dice.
just did downgrade yesterday to free up 10 meg space then found out market no longer works ...
