Ive been adding a deleteing alot of apps since I got my phone. The usual "new toy" deal.
What the best way to actualy delete them. Ive been going through setting>apps>manage>unistall
When I got to the monitor it says my memory is only 23% free. Is this normal, or am I looking at the wrong thing? Is there anyway to install apps on the added microsd card?
Sorry if such a newb question.
Download titanium backup from the market, or uninstaller. Uninstaller gets rid of all apps you've installed and titanium backup can get rid of the other miscellaneous odds and ends.

hold down the app icon of the app you want to remove and move it down to the little trashcan that pops up but don't let it go wait until it says uninstall and then let it go. this will take you directly to the uninstall screen for the app. no need to install any other apps. hope this helps.
So, as far as your memory percentage goes, don't give it too much worry. I don't recommend any task "killer" apps to solve that though, they aren't good for you phone. A task "manager" app would be okay to use. You could also try unchecking the box to sign into Gtalk automatically (Find that in the Gtalk settings) or just not using so many apps at once.
The two posts above forgot to mention a few things. Titanium Backup requires root access. There's an app in the Market called OCLF (One Click Lag Fix) that can help you easily obtain this. If you use Titanium Backup, you can also remove some AT&T bloatware that comes with your phone, only if you want, of course.
ADW.Launcher will allow you to drag an app icon over the trash can that pops up after you long press on one. Just hold it over for a few seconds and it will ask if you want to uninstall it.
So, there are plenty of easy, free ways to help you out!
Hello, I have been trying to install different launcher programs on my htc magic from the marketplace. When I install them they do not show anywhere on my phone. My phone says "Successfully Installed" but afterwards I cannot find them anywhere.
I have a rooted HTC Magic running 2.1 v 6.0.
I have tried multiple launcher and home programs and the only one that seems to work is Go Launcher. How come none of the others work?
I have tried installing on a few occasions.
Any help or an easier route for themes and customizing would be greatly appreciated.
Chances are they are successfully installed but you just don't see them. Download homeswitcher from the marketplace, it will show you all the launchers you have installed and allow you to change between them at will
If they are installed, hit HOME and you will have to choose among them. If not, they are NOT installed.

Ok guys thanks ill let you know!
Lol most launchers don't show in your app drawer. Just press the home button after installing one and select the one you want to use or make it default

Last night i installed 2 games together with 20-30 aps after a hard reset. However they do not appear anywhere. Not in the app drawer or in the application manager.
When I try to reinstall them it asks to replace the application and then once I press install it says "out of space, free up some space and try again".
How can i delete them?
Please help I don't want to hard reset again cause it took me forever to get all the apps and setting right!
On Home Screen Long Press Home Button Then Task Manager Then Select Package Tab
Thats the problem, they dont appear anywhere but when i try to install them again it asks if i want to replace and then it gives me the not enough space error.
I have a tmous hd7 running 7712. HTC recently put out an attentive phone app that integrates into the settings menu of the hd7. Once the app finishes downloading, it disappears from the app list and a new settings category called attentive phone is created. Is there any way to remove the integrated app once installed? Long pressing the setting does not work.
Why u want to do that?

Personally, I don't use any of the settings in it. The menu gets in the way, takes a bit longer to load than other settings, and feels tacked on. Besides, given that putting your app in the settings menu merely requires modifying the hubtype in WMAppManifest.xml, developers or carriers could concievably write crapware apps that are unable to be uninstalled. We should at least have the freedom to uninstall the application

If you don't use it then why did you install it to begin with? lol. Also, its completely out of way, being in the settings menu. By far a better implementation that having it clog up the app list.
There is no official way to remove it. It needs to installed again, but without the modified hubtype, so that it'll appear in the regular app list by which it can then be uninstalled normally.
forget me, im an idiot
How does it slow down ur system? I don't get it, works fine for me.... This is reserved API, you cant use it to put apps in the menus, its only for oem. Get over it or do hard reset.

YOU ROCK! This is what I´ve been searching for!
to everyone: here you go, deploy this with Xapdeployx with force uninstall option, and you can delete it.
Cheers guys, just bumping this so that others with the same issue can find it quickly
I've tried Google but it didn't work so basically I was downloading stuff from the internet and one of them must've had some nasty virus cause now every single time I unlock my phone I get this name-less app that pops up with this virus notification (how ironic). So I tap the menu key to bring up app switcher and the app is name-less with a white theme. So I go into the Smart Manager and check the RAM to see what information I can get but it doesn't appear there. So I go to the settings app, Application manager > Running and the very first thing, taking up like 66MB of RAM was that ad app. So I tap it and the uninstall button is greyed out! So I tap "stop" to stop the app and it finally goes away (I had the app open in that small window and it disappeared after tapping "STOP"). By go away I mean it probably just got temporarily stopped or it's frozen but if I go into the "all" tab, the first thing is this nameless ad app. 6.50MB storage used, version 1.0 . The permissions basically say it's got control of my SD card and full network access, nothing else. I don't trust it at all to not have root access but I don't think SU asked me anything about root other than file explorers and Kernel apps (was trying to find a way to overclock for fun)
tl;dr There's a nameless app that shows a fullscreen ad saying I got a virus and the uninstall button is greyed out.
I got root so is there a way of finding the location of the relevant files in ES File Explorer and deleting them maybe?
Download Samsung Package Disabler and you should be able to disable the app. Or you can try Titanium Backup and freeze the app and possibly uninstall it.

Simply factory reset, it is way better than finding the app. Format storage, then re install the rom. It will sure wiping the virus.
