Miui has been ported to the vibrant and is currently in alpha. Porting that to the captivate shouldnt be too hard right? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=951291
It really is not hard to do on your own but a request has been sent for permission to post a port.

Is it any harder than "porting" an i9000 rom? Because that i can do
Normally no but I have not tried it yet so either wait for a while and I will let you know if it works or you can try for yourself. I would suggest that you just boot it as is then flash a kernel and modem though as swapping first does result in problems sometimes.

Edit....will have to work on it later as I am on the road and first attempt was unsuccessful.
Me too. I got stuck on the vibrant screen
Edit: Can't get into download or recovery mode.
Edit: Edit: I finally got download mode
Second time worked for me after having to save phone with odin

Yeah same here. sd card worked on the stock kernel though
The sd issue should be an easy fix but I am not going to mess with it this weekend.
Ok so I've been able to install 2 miui custom roms, but my 3g doesn't work on either one of them. Has anyone else had this problem?
Running 2.2.1 with radio 5.12.

I've went into the options and tried to select both olleh and kt networks. Neither one give me 3g access D:

Try Radio 5.08 It worked for me.
I checked the threads first!!
I want to use the dialer from Phoenix Ultimate http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=892973
And use it in my current ROM serendipity 6.4, Ive downloaded and exteacted te phoenix Rom, not sure where to go from there??
Any help?
Pull system/app/DialerTabActivity.apk from the phoenix zip and then push it to /system/app/ on your phone with Root Explorer, Super Manager, ADB, etc.
Keep in mind this will only work with froyo to froyo not froyo to gingerbread. That requires modifying the apk
Thankyou so much buddy, worked like a charm!! I hit the thanks button

Does anyone know where this is? When I rooted from stock to decrap, it was in system/app. I removed it to unroot after switching to decrap. I re-rooted and switched to Revolt 1.4 and now I need to either change the app name or remove it so I can use Good for Enterprise for work email. Thanks for your help.
It is in /system/app

Okay guys this ROM has been discontinued and is now included in Gummy Nightlies as a theme manager theme, and should be in our next release. This post will no longer be updated but if you have issues please post here as I will continue to monitor.

You probably should put all three of these roms in the same thread, since they're just different skins.
HOWEVER
I just flashed this rom on my phone; initial setup was very fast, the phone is running at lightning speed, the camera works great.... this rom is absolutely wonderful!
Congrats on the good work! I'll report back if I have any problems.
One more thing... any chance we could get this rom with stock ICS skin?

My Roms are built from Gummy source but I modify the source code so even though they are technically the same they are built individually. Here is a link to the original Gummy http://goo.im/devs/TeamGummy/Roms/Shadow/Gummy_shadow-Release-1.0.0.2.zip It is stock ICS skin

It will have all the same bugs as Gummy and the other Ics Roms and no I don't be live you can upgrade from liberty that's gingerbread make sure you have at least the 602 radio and do a full wipe. I don't have a droid x so that's about all I can tell you.

Have you installed gosms? That bug had already been found and listed with bug fix, just having go sms installed seems to fix for some people

Not sure if it will fix it or not, give it a try. You should be able to flash new version over the old without wiping yes, I would wipe cache though.
Installed this on my gfs droidx it's super smooth... No issues so far aside from it not being able to send mms she can receive them just fine
