[Q] HI need help

first let me make sorry if i am making wrong post and thread in wrong place
i need help
today only i took samsung i9000
i dont like the interface i want a suggestion on choosing a rom which will look like Htc nexus or desire
if possible
or some good rom if possible
i am hd2 user so new to android
help me..........
and sorry for my bad english and ..if anything else

There are many custom ROMs available here with pics showing how they look on your Phone. There are also many themes in the themes & apps forum. check them out.
BUT BEFORE DOING ANYTHING, verify that you have 3-button combo working. If not don't do anything. You risk bricking your phone. Check out some stickies in the general section.

[Q] Where do i start?

Hi i've been using the x8 for 2 months now running on GingerDX v009.. I've learned many things from this community.. and i wanna learn more..
For starters.. How do i build a ROM? using ROM kitchen? if yes which one is compatible with our X8? Will i need extensive knowledge in linux or in programming?

With the ROM kitchen you don't actually build a ROM, you just give it some features (I've tried it). If you know anything about coding and stuff like that, I've been told that the android developers site is a good start. I'm a beginner myself. So far I've made only an icon pack apk LOL

I want to start too. Can you or any other give me an "How to start guide for NOOBS" for me? I'm really noob in this xD

Before you start developing, you should know how Android works. As I said before, you will find everything you need in the Android Developers site. And..c'mon! You can't start making ROMs when you haven't even made a simple app yet!

I want to start developing apps, and after that developing some modifications to existing apps and system files. When i know how to do that i can simply make a rom because i know how to compile roms on kitchen

It's better for me to understand. I can read and understand in English but is more dificult for me :S

Online tutorials might help you... There are a lot of them out there... Choose the one which you feel is better... I'm also on the same boat as you..
I personally prefer "thenewbiston" channel.. There you can find tutorials for android application development as well as java(which is very important for app development)..
Then you can move onto cooking roms...

hi everybody
1-Why do i see Image Verification every time i post any thing
2-When i was using s belle os on nokia i was a big dev + i hve alot of software posted in alot of arabic forums
When i moved 2 android i couldnt find any lead 2 start as dev
i know lil bwt java n xml + i know how 2 decompile n recompile apks
but i couldnt find any lead as i said 2 start editing on android
ill be thankful if any body could give start
wat i mean HOW CAN I BECOME A DEVELOPER
3- in our country iraq i saw htc one x clone running a really latest version of sence
how come a clone device which cnt be compared with n7000 can run sence ui and our great note with the great specifications
n a lot of roms with great dev cnt port sence ui

[Q] A little help? SVH-E160S Korean ICS ROM self made

this is my 1st time tryin to make my own rom (SVH-E160s)
so i installed JDK, cygwin and kitchen some other apktools not yet done
as im still new to this cooking stuff
im currently makin a stock ics with rooted access removed bloat wares
im not lazy in searchin the net but a specific link would be nice to help me boost my research
i am very thankful to those who view his and to those who will help me or not

need help noobie with tweaking lumia 435 WP8.1

Hello sorry to bother the people of xda again im having trouble in understanding and implementing some registry tweaks for my lumia can anyone recomend some tweaks that i could use and how to do it
Please dont grill or burn me im still learning the wp8.1 it ia not as easy as modding android or ios wich i no how to do thanks

this not android open source OS... WP is closed OS for safe and secure work... registry not accessible on Lumia phones...
WP system work fine, fast and stable.. no need for tweaks...
