This is my first custom cooked rom. I have tried many of the other roms but it isn't quite what I wanted.
So here it is, my very first custom cooked rom made by myself just the way I wanted it.
What I wanted was a stock unbranded ROM with all the bloat removed without breaking anything.
I also wanted a rom that is slightly over-clocked and have have all the performance tweaks applied.
I did not apply any themes to this rom. I didn't even bother to change the build name.
I don't even have a name for this rom. So I'll leave it as Light Unbranded Android 2.2.2
This rom is probably never going to be updated unless there are major issues with it.
If anyone has any suggestions on how I can make it even better, please feel free to let me know.
What's in this ROM?
Android 2.2.2 (Europe Unbranded V10H) http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/LGP500/ANEUBK/V10h_00/V10H_00.kdz

Congrats for your first rom, wonderful light rom. One question -will the a2sd work in your rom and how to disable hw accelerator ? I'm gonna try it. Thanks!

I think this is and old rom just people are now using it by the looks of it. From what I see this rom was made in April. Correct me if I'm wrong.
The rom works pretty good for being an older release. Using this because for some reason I can't charge my phone with cm7 or any gingerbread roms.
well I got to admit that this was a smooth sneaky trolling lol
I will try this Rom

I dont use that keyboard. If you like you can keep it.
lbstestmode is for gps testing.
In gingerbread it's called "angrygps".
I guess that gps works fine without it, but I don't know if you have tested.
I think I'll be switching to xxkb3. all mods are based from it. oh well.

Factory restore does not restore, you have to back up them and when you need them put it back into system/app.

I remove them from system and gain a 191 MB space and some ram for the apps i really want to be in ram,,,i notice that an app from the bluthoot service was wasting my battery and bluthoot was off,,so i did a research of each one and what they do and just start ripping a part the system as you see.....it is stable and no erros display so far other than the ringtones not displaying in sound settings
You could have just flashed a ROM and got much more speed and a little more ram. Stock is slow anyways no matter what you do. IMO
I did a dump of all the system files and am ready to start deleting junk I don't need. I've never liked to use Ti Backup, and prefer to delete out the files manually. Below is my list:

What device do you have? (i.e. carrier version). Is this list everything you deleted, or everything you kept? Some of these files NEED to stay.
EDIT: You should clarify; you don't want people deleting SystemUI. ;P
Sorry, I'm using the VZW locked version. This list is everything in /system/app/, I'm trying to get an idea of what all is safe to permanently delete.
spend a little more time searching next time.

Ugh, I know about that list... but I specifically mentioned that I hate to use Ti Backup an prefer to manually delete out the bloat I don't need. That's why I posted the list, as that other list is services, not files.

well open up your tibu, then click on each of the apps that are suggested to be frozen, then click on their details, and it will tell you a file path to the apk that is running that service. then delete that apk or rename it so its not usable anymore. if you come across one that crashes the phone, put it back and keeping trucking down the road of deleting apks lol. Seems like a long process but enjoy.

has anyone had any luck doing this? i can't find anything in tibu that shows me the exact apk name to get rid of...and i like the OP would rather kill the individual APKs than do it in tibu.
All this to save how much space? Not like any of this bloat is slowing the phone down or eating up battery.
I'm honestly curious as to why people go through all of this effort for minimal (if any) gain.

not a problem. took me a sec to figure it out again. if i hadn't have posted that earlier i might have thought the guy that posted it was an idiot bc i couldn't figure out where i saw that screen. since i had posted it i knew it was there. should have been more clear in the original post. but maybe when i did post it there was an actual detail tab that i clicked.
I just freeze stuff. The space is minimal that the system apps take up.....plus I can easily restore them if I need to.
Not sure why the need to delete them really.
Sent from my Moto X cell phone telephone.....
I actually create an 'app.disabled' folder and move them into that

i dnt want to remove memo??
You should just delete something like "delete("/system/app/memo.apk");" on the updater-script located at META INF folder.
And hey, hitesh, I don't think this thread has to be placed on development section. It should be placed at General Section. So please, could you ask any FM to move the thread?
And also, it looks pretty interesting! :good:
Regards,
Teddy
Good work hitesh....

Ok i ll remove it
OP Updated
Removed Memo.apk from script.
I think the Rom should also be "De-Odexed" to get this script running correctly...
( You've stated that it remove's JUST the .apks and there was nothing stated about removing .odex files ,so i assumed that a De-odexed rom is necessary .xD..)
Anyway Great work !!

Yup!
But @OP, you can also add lines to remove odex parts too its easy. And release 2versions. One of deodexed systems and one for odexed systems.

Nice idea i ll make two version soon....
OP Updated
Added Odex file
Why two versions? Use the odex version only. If the odex file exists, it will remove it, else it will skip that line and continue the script.
