[Q] Permission Denied SU - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I can Odin/PDA any firmware I have with GT-I9000M (Bell unlocked). My problem is I never enabled the USB debugging before flashing it nor I remember what firmware it was originally
I tried every solution re. putting superuser. I can only use the ADB recovery since it won't boot up (it only goes up to the Galaxy S logo and then screen goes blank)
Wish someone can tell me a proper firmware with superuser access.
My main problem is I can use any firmware but get stuck at update.zip since I cannot root it
Please help...
Thank you

(AT&T)Galaxy S6 Locked!

Hello, I had successfully rooted via PingPong method and then I attempted to flash custom recovery TWRP to it via TWRP Manager as mentioned on the TWRP page (I cannot link it as I am a new user)
after rebooting during the process, I am now greeted by a message at the boot screen that says "System software not authorized by AT&T has been found on your phone. Please turn off your phone and go to the nearest AT&T store for help." It will not go past this screen. I ensured that it was indeed, the correct recovery to flash according to the app. I can still enter Odin Mode, however.

Having root does not mean you can flash a custom recovery. You need an unlocked bootloader which still cannot be done.
I have the same issue. I can't load in to recovery, only downloading mode. I've tried Odin, Smart Switch, Kies 3 and no result
Please HELP.
Any chance you can share the info on the fix? I'm having the same issue on same phone and have tried the same troubleshooting.
Thanks

I can't get to fastboot mode

Well hello... I've been reading through the threads on the internet but could not find an answer to my question.
I'm using flashtool to root my phone and to get cwm recovery. As I plug in my phone (turned off, volume pressed up, bootloader unlocked but not rooted) I'm getting the message Device must be connected in ADB mode. I didn't get this message before. I've rooted my phone then unrooted it with the official 5.0.2 rom.
The question is: how do I root my phone again and add cwm recovery to make myself able to flash new roms and stuff on my phone.
I've flashed cwm recovery from the containing folder using the fastboot command but it doesn't seem to work anymore.
Thank you for your answers in advance and have a good day!

root with kingroot http://androidxda.com/download-kingroot-application and then use this guide http://www.w0lfdroid.com/2015/05/How-to-Remove-Replace-KingUser-KingRoot-with-SuperSU.html?m=1 to replace kingroot with Supersu
then use this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.mkrtchyan.recoverytools&hl=el to install the recovery you want
PS: why did you unroot your phone in the first place?_? You cant use recovery without root.!

Phone Not Working after failed Root

First off, sorry if this is the wrong section for this.
Basically, I tried rooting my phone (Galaxy S6 SM-G920T) using KingRoot, and it got to 20% and shut off. Now on boot I get "KERNAL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING, CUSTOM BINARY BLOCKED BY FRP LOCK"
I'd appreciate if someone could let me know whether or not there is a fix for this.
Thanks.
Kingroot is not for the Tmobile variant. You need to download Odin onto your computer and flash TWRP and Unikernel (unikernel will root the phone).
I would suggest you restore your phone to factory status by downloading Samsung Kies software.
Once that completes then enable Developer options and turn on OEM and allow USB debugging.
Then once you've done that, use the Odin to root the device and install recovery.

Grand Prime FRP lock and root problem!

So I tried to root my device using Kingo root first but after 73% it failed to root the device.
Then I tried to do it manually. First I tried to install TWRP but even it failed and some green notice appeared in recovery mode saying "Custom binary FRP lock on" or something like that (Cannot remember the exact phrase.)
Then again I searched and found out this bypassing apk and tried to off the FRP lock and it was successfully done and after that I booted the TWRP even that was successfully completed (as the odin said) :fingers-crossed:
But when I tried to boot to TWRP mode it gave some kind of error message and again I went in to the same old stock recovery mode. That means booting the TWRP wasn't successful as odin mentioned and then I noticed again "FRP lock ON".
What is the solution for this problem? I seriously need to root this device but I don't want to use pre rooted firm wares cause it will give base band problems and such things! Any solutions guys? :highfive:
Doesn't anyone have a proper solution for this?

Bricked after editing build.prop

Hi, All!
I rooted my galaxy s5 mini (SM-g800F) using kingo root.
Since then i edited something in the build.prop that said something like 'ro.securesystem=true' and deleted the whole sentance (before, after and including the =) and replaced it with 'false'- I did this so i could see the wifi keys of the networks ive previously connected to).
i rebooted my device and got stuck in a bootloop.
I started watching a video turorial online to fix the problem which got me downloading samsung mobile usb drivers and adb drivers.
But then i couldnt go any further because I dont have cwm recovery (only stock) nor had i created a backup build.prop file.
Can i get cwm onto the phone via usb? Can i get the original build.prop file on there as well some how?
I have also downloaded odin, the custom firmware for my device (orginal unrouted ROM) and android studio.
Also when using the adb in cmd prompt it detects the device when i type 'adb devices' but when typing in 'adb shell' it returns 'error:closed'
I hope the information I've given will be enough to help me out with a method of unbricking this thing, otherwise will factory resting get it back up and running or not?
Any help will be much appreciated
Thanks!
Use Odin to flash the exact stock firmware version you have now. If you are lucky you won't need to factory reset it afterwards in order to boot... Using Odin won't touch your data partition but if you have some incompatible software you will need a factory reset in order to boot normally. If you rooted or flashed a custom kernel you may need to flash stock ROM twice to fully restore the system.
