Hi,
I was trying to upgrade my SGS I9000 to froyo with this rom "Doc_Kalpik Froyo JP6/JPM V5" but now I have a problem (before applying the rom)
I wiped my phone because these say it is recommended to do but after I did that and try to apply the "clockworkmod" update.zip but it gave the error "E:can't open /sdcard/update.zip" so I thought I made a did gave it the exact wright name.
I tried to boot my phone the normal way to connect the internal SD card to my phone but since I wiped it Touchwiz and some other processes (android.process.acore, com.android.apps.uploader, com.sec.app.twlauncher, com.google.process.gapps) force close as soon as I boot and keep doing that so i can't connect the my internal SD card to the computer.
Is there a way I can access my internal SD card without booting?

The option to format my SD Card is GONE from the recovery menu, here's what happened.
1. i9000M running Froyo JPM approx. 3 days, no lagfix, rooted, lots of apps, SD card almost full.
2. Took phone out of pocket - Black screen of death, bottom buttons light up on touch.
3. Reboot into ClockWorkMod Recovery - unmount and remount everything. Reboot, and nothing. Wipe cache, reboot, nothing. Wipe data/restore to factory, reboot, AHA!, see 4.
4. Phone starts, immediately starts force closing like none other.. so, reboot into recovery.
5. Try restoring a Nandroid backup.. everything is swell, but it finds an error: can not restore android_system.img ... oh boy
6. Go back into recovery.. can NOT get to ClockworkMod Recovery, when I try to apply the update.zip, ERROR: no such file exists
Note: at this point I am not getting any errors when I enter recovery mode related to mounting, sdcard - nothing.
7. Try wiping/resetting again. Nothing.
8. Try flashing back to UGJH2 (stock Bell), nothing.
In the end, I still have no errors in recovery, and the option to format my SD card is gone..
Is this the same SD card issue as everyone else, or did I unmount my SD card somehow in step 3?
you sound like this case

so when you re-flashed back to JH2
did you get any error message?
which method did you use to flash back to JH2 ?
Just got my color nook today.
Trying to get my nook color up and running on a custom rom. But I am lost, there appears to be quiet a few ways to start and I am not sure the best and most updated method.
So as of now I am not rooted, pretty much pulled it out and charged it, I checked and its running 1.1.0 out of the box.
I'm going for the Phiremod rom, and I want to boot from internal memory not SD card.
Would really appreciate some links to what I need.
Thanks
lost just lost
so i ended up using autonooter
then made a sd card with clockworkmod on it
installed clockwork mod, installed a zip just like i would on a phone
and .... no go it wont boot to android just back to clockworkmod, what am i doing wrong?
also getting an error in clockwork
"E:can't mount /cache/recovery/log"
"E:can't open /cache/recovery/log"
"E:can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log"
"E:can't open /cache/recovery/last_log"

The errors are normal; since you don't have any cache or its not mounted.
You burned a CWM image on a SD card and installed the Phiremod rom from his Zip file in CWM?
Then you only have to remove the sd-card while in CWM and then choose 'reboot device' (first option in main menu) (sometimes you get back in CWM but reboot a couple of times and it should boot Phiremod CM7 off the emmc.)
(if the Nook finds a bootloader on the SD card, it'll load that instead of the internal emmc memory. )
too used to phones
hey thanks so much for the reply
that would have solved the problem, but i was running cwm on internal and using a different sd card
found out what was wrong, i was doing the wipes like you would on the phone
i.e. wipe data/factory reset and cache there
(instead of from inside mounts and storage)
finally up and running after 4 hours haha
thanks again
Just flashed a new 1.1.0 to CM7; no need for autonooter if you're going custom ROM straight off.
1. Download the SDCard-bootable CWM. Burn to MicroSD with WinDiskImage32 (needs to be run as Admin for block-level access if you get write errors)
2. Drop on your ROM .zip of choice.
3. Drop on the gapps .zip
4. Eject, insert into Nook, boot up.
5. TAKE A BACKUP. This is your 'oh crap' restore point.
6. Install zip from SD; install ROM. Do the same, install gapps. Wipe cache and data.
7. Remove MicroSD, boot NC. If it works, format the MicroSD card in your computer as FAT32 (after copying off your backup, under the clockworkmod directory), insert into NC, good to go. If it bombs out, redo step 4-7, skipping 5.
If you can't get it to load, boot from MicroSD and restore your backup. No harm, no foul. Keep a copy of this 'gold' backup on your computer. I forgot to do this and ended up blowing my original away when I reformatted my MicroSD.
Update your kernel
Keep up to date with Dalingrin's latest kernel, he keeps pushing the overclocking to new heights every few days it seems

Hi guys. i have a Note thats behaving strange in recovery .
first when i get the phone i root whit cf-root and flashed latest Check rom.
in CWM i got this really strange thing i´v not aeen in my other devices SGS & SGS2. when beging to flash it comes up like this
20s sd-card mounting
19s sd-card mounting
18s sd-card mounting
counting down to 0 then it says cant mount sd-card let go anyway and it installs whatever.
yesterday when i was installing a theme
and was going to make a factory reset whipe data and it was unable to do so because it couldent find the sd-card and whent to boot loop .
whent in to recovery again flashed check-rom and the phone started.
but what the hell is the problem whit my internal sd-card and is there any solution to fix this by my self? or must i unroot and flash back stock rom of the phone via odin and send to repir?
sorry if this question came in wrong section or is asked alot.
best regards
do you have an external sd card in the phone?
what kernel are you using?
ive seen some kernels swap the internal and sd mounts around so the internal becomes external and external internal
using the cf-root kernel that comes whit the check-rom. got no external sd-card.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1576002
Usually things U can do:
-redownload kernel
-try on another sd card
-try on another pc
and the most obvious question did U do wipe data/factory reset before installing?
if this all not working then sorry i cant help U.

Hi, my brother gave me a used Droid Bionic which I successfully rooted and installed a custom recovery on (Liquidsmooth to be exact) using Safestrap recovery 3.11 but kept my stock rom in a slot.
So basically I now got a problem. I thought I'd try CM11 from the Cyanogenmod website (snaphot) when I created a new slot rom and try to install, I got an error. It was a failed process.
I thought I'd try again so I wiped everything Factory reset, data, cache...etc still failed..
Then I uninstall safestrap recovery using the stock rom and saw that I can use CWM like my other phone Samsung fascinate in rootzwiki. I followed this thread called [Guide] How to install ClockworkMod Recovery from adroidman
but before I installed the bionic boot strap, I made a huge mistake I formatted The internal 8 gb storage then I rebooted to see if that caused any problems and it did basically..
I deleted the /data and /sdcard because I formatted the internal storage and every time I reboot, I get a Encryption Unsuccessful message and it tells me to reset phone. I did but same message. Am I screwed?? I know I still have my stock rom in there but can't access it. Also every time I connect my phone I no longer see the internal storage instead my 32 gb sd card.
