I updated my YouTube app recently and I Notice I don't have the option to watch videos through the browser or the YouTube app anymore, its taking me directly to the app, because there are some videos that cannot be viewed on the mobile app,I would like to know if this is happening to anyone else.

I get the prompt, try copying the URL into the browser or clearing the defaults.

I can't upload videos to YouTube. When I go to the gallery and try to share via YouTube, it says "failed to retrieve account info" immediately. It does it so quickly that it's obviously not actually trying.
When I go to YouTube using the browser and try uploading from there, it crashes the browser and sends me back to the homescreen with no error message.
I am using CM6 nightly from 08062010.
Can anyone else recreate these problems?
i have the exact same problem! can anyone help?
Was this ever resolved?
I have the same issue when trying to upload to youtube with the 3g connection.
Turn on wi-fi and it uploads golden... just my 2 cents
I have gotten it working.
I had to go to YouTube on my computer and create a new account.
Then I opened the YouTube app and hit menu, then my account. Then use the new account to login.
It works great now. I wish that I could have used my "linked" Google account, but it's fine this way.
Now when I want to share via YouTube from the gallery that account is the automatically chosen one.
Wow that sucks I really wanted to use my existing account

I FIGURED IT OUT. U have to log into your gmail account on the comp and enable multiple sign in. Work great except I recorded a video on the 720p setting but wen it uploaded it was only 360

oh nvm 720p works great its just the nexus one doesnt play 720 in the browser
ok, this is likely the result of replacing the auto-nooter Youtube app with the "HQ YouTube" app discussed here; but, no matter what I do, I cannot launch YouTube videos from any other application besides the Youtube app itself.
If I click on a Yotube video link in Dolphin HD or gReader, it brings me to a "link not found" page each and every time, for each and every video!
Any ideas?
Hi, anyone out there who has encountered a problem playing youtube videos through the stock browser or any other browser when signed in to your Youtube account? I only noticed this problem after upgrading my firmware to KC2 for my Galaxy Tab P1010. Youtube app can play everything even when signed in. In the browser, I have to sign out first from my account before I can view any video. The problem is, I can't view any of my subscriptions.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Hey guys, do any of you have problems with Dolphin HD when trying to watch YouTube videos? Whenever I go to the YouTube site (not the mobile site) and click on a video, Dolphin HD always prompts me to "Select an action" in order to view the video. It gives me 3 choices: Dolphin HD, the stock browser, and the YouTube app.
Normally this wouldn't be a big deal except for the fact that it asks me this every darn time I want to watch a video. And strangely enough, there's no checkbox to use my choice as the Default action, so I'm stuck with this annoying prompt.
Anyone else having this problem? Thanks in advance.
Ive been using Dolphin Browser HD for a while now and its problem free for me when i use youtube. Make sure you havent altered any settings in the browser. Restart. Reinstall the app. If problems persist try contacting the people that make it. Good luck
Yes, I have that same issue - but only if i'm coming from the youtube site itself to the specific video.
if you search for videos on google videos instead, and then go to youtube from there, it doesn't get triggered. best workaround i can offer you.
Have you tried changing user agent?

So I use stock browser/ICS browser+ to surf. And watching embedded YouTube videos within websites is a nightmare. I have STICK IT! App or even YouTube app so I'd have no problem using those but to even get the "share" button accessible I have to click play which causes a big lag and then im frantically trying to click share, which usually doesn't work. If I just let it play and then click fullscreen within the site it lags and usually freezes and blacks out screen and doesn't play
To add, I have sites loaded as "desktop" by default.
Usually what I end up doing is looking at video title and trying to find it myself on the YouTube app.
What are your guys' thoughts on playing embedded YouTube videos? Lately its been so frustrating.
EDIT: I forgot what the final straw was that had me post on here.....after the you tube video freezes or bugs out, the browser bugs and wont load a page until I reboot xoom, even if I end task in manager

Click to collapse
Try reinstalling flash on your xoom. Just go to the play store and look up "Flash". You should see something like "Adobe Flash". Uninstall it, and then reinstall it.
Hope that helps.
