Hey all,
I have HD7 and listen to music when travelling, everything works fine. But just recently I attempted to watch a film and the sound will not play through the Bluetooth headphones, it transfers the sound to the speakers? Anyone know how to change this at all??

Hi, I noticed the same issue on mine and there seems no way to change it.
I will offer a thought on why i think is happening.
On my other Android phones only the Galaxy S actually did a good job of keeping the audio and video in sync when using Bluetooth A2DP. The protocol has buffering in it so for audio its no problem but video can be tricky.
I think they just set it to not use Bluetooth for video audio to save complaints.
shame.

Hello, do you have the possibility to call a contact with the voice ( voice dialing) by the headset like on the HD1 ( and not on the HD2) ?
Thanks

I don't know whether you can activate the voice dialing using purely the headset, but you can use voice dial through a bluetooth headset. Just connect the headset and then hold down the start button until it asks you to speak. It works no matter which app you're using.
It also works without the headset.
bluetooth headphones
Hi,
To Russ, i previously had a Touch Diamond 2 and used these same headphones and it worked perfectly. I actually believe it has something to do with Zune and the player that they use?, it cant recognise that a headset is attached and therefore reverts to the speakers.
With regards to activating the voice dialing, with my bluetooth headphones which are Sony ericsson ones, it has an answer button, which when pressed with no incoming call it activates the voice dialling just as usual saying the same "Call mum".

Thank you, goood news because the HD2's bluetooth stack wasn't able to hear the voice dialing by the blutooth headset , and it only works only by the HD2's microphone.
Thank you

I am not sure if you are still looking for this, but YES, the voice dialing can be activated using the BT Headset. I have a Voyager Pro Plus and it works just fine.
As per the original thread title, I am having the same problem playing video files audio not getting transmitted via my BT Headset, So I called HTC to ask them what was the problem. They confirmed it is a software issue.
He said, it was a WP7 limitation. May be the future updates might get that feature, but right now it SUX. I am not sure how MS managed to F#$% this up. I am really Pissed. I was waiting for ever for this Headset so that I can watch my movies during my commute with the convenience of a BT Headset, now the whole purpose is lost.

Hey,
I have a Jabra Bluetooth headset which works with the X7500, except for the voice dialing: the call handling button on the headset doesn't trigger the voice dialing. Other headsets do.
I can remember that there was some kind of trick to have this working with certain Jabra headsets. Was it in the register or something?
Thanks for the help.

I have Microsoft Voice Command 1.6 and it works well. Don't use the one included on the phone so can't comment on that. I no longer use my Jabra but when i did everything worked as expected.

I have a Jabra, 2 Motorola's, 2 Plantronics, and a Jawbone headset and all work perfectly except for the incoming call announcement through the headset, which I believe is being worked on by m/$ as we speak !
Check your settings for the phone in ms voice command and make sure that the top 2 boxes are check marked.
Hope this helped.......Later
did you ever find any additional information?
Hello dears, I get a kaiser and now I'm looking for a BT headset, my problem is I can't find wich special feature (if any) need the BT headset have to choice one and buy it with confidense.
I want to mount it to a motorbike, and I want to be able to receive in the BT headset music + calls + gps voice indications. Investigating some time I found that this can be possible with a software like BTToggle or VoiceRoute or so, to route all the sound of the HTC to the BT headset.
I hope this is true, but now I can't found if we need look some special feature or especifications in the BT HEADSETS available here in the market, and I have not the opportunity of test one and others.
Can someone tell me wich compatibility need I look for in a BT HEADSET for the HTC TYTN II and the custom explained needs above ?
Thank you very much! greetings from Argentina!

i believe u need a bluetooth stereo headset for it to pass music/system sounds through (I bought a samsung h350 for 4.99 and found out it cant do that ). Microsoft Voice commander works nice, it announces texts, calls, reminders, etc.
The Jabra 8040 is both a phone and music/audio Blue Tooth. They aren't too expensive. I am unsure if it will interupt the music for voice navigation prompts. Someone running one would have to let you know. I do know it interupts music for calls.
hi, there is this program ( i cant remember the name), but it allows you to stream all sounds from your phone to your headset, regardless of what kind of bluetooth headset you have. does anyone know what program it is?
So, I've been trying to use my BT headset and a voice recorder but Diamonds seems to use only its internal microphone and not BT's one. Jabra BT 3030 (dogtag) is the device I'm using. There are wireless stereo and handsfree profiles in BT settings which are both checked.
Why I can't record my voice with Jabra? Is there a software way to make it use Jabra's microphone?
Apart from this everything else (calls and streaming music) works fine.
No ideas? Anybody? I sent the problem to Jabra/HTC support but didn't get nothing concrete as an answer.
I can't believe that bluetooth device's microphone can't be used for recording?
The same thing worked on Symbian Nokia device I used before...
The answer...

I tried it to make it possible to talk with voiceclips in the live messenger, trough the headset, works perfectly. Axel
Hi, i have spent some time searching now and since i couldn't find this anywhere i decided to post here, hope someone can help me.
Recently, i bought the official sony playstation 3 bluetooth headset (http://www.us.playstation.com/PS3/Accessories/SCPH-98095) and i have connected it to my xperia x1 through bluetooth (running with itje's touch-it xperience v13.2), the problem is, it only outputs sound for the voice calls, i can't listen to music on it or the normal phone sounds. I know it would be mono sound and not high quality, but i would like to listen to the sound anyway sometimes because its better then leaving it silent.
i have tried in the bluetooth configuration window, clicking in advanced, editing the wireless device profile, thre it was marked hands-free, i clicked refresh and headset appeared, i marked it, then the headset disconnects. when i reconnect it, it auto demarks headset, or it doesnt connect.
I have looked around to see if it was the bluetooth headset problem, but i have not seen anyone else complaining about this or even mentioning it can't play the phone sounds (just some complains about the ps3 sounds not outputing but thats the ps3 fault), and i have also searched to see if it is x1s fault but haven't managed to find an answer as well, so if anyone can plz help i would really appreciate it. Thanks.
thats pretty much because its no BUG.
what u want is a a2dp headset. something tells me that the ps3 headset doesn has this feature. normal headset just route voice calls while a2dp headset route everything.
actually, i didnt use the word bug because i though that might be the case
it has the headset and handsfree profile, not a2dp, but what i wasnt sure if it really needed to have de a2dp profile to output normal sounds, from what i've read it seems it is needed to output stereo high quality sounds, but just sounds with low quality would work for me, thats why im asking, i though the headset profile would be enough for that.
so if i get your message right, unless it has specifically the a2dp profile, there is no other way of making the sound output on the headset, low or high quality?
now i know there might be a way to make it work.
i was listening to some music today using the music player that comes with touchflo 3d, then i pressed the talk button of my bluetooth headset to issue a voice command (with the microsoft voice command program), then the music started playing in my headset while it was waiting for the voice command, once it got the command the music went back to the phone.
Does anyone know any way to make my headset keep playing the sounds, or could at least explain what happens when i press the talk button so i have an idea of where to look to see if find a way?
no one can help me with this? not any tip or a way to select a different output for audio or anything like that?
Also an issue with Audio Gateway
I have tested this issue on two seperate headsets, and so far can get the Xperia to work ONLY as hands free. Seperate phones sperate headsets. The other phone pushed audio thru to the headset whereas the X1 only routes calls.
I also cant find much of this on XDA or anywhere else?
Help?
Regards
i used an ad2p software downloaded from here when i had this issue with my lg ks20. But i havent the gut or im just lazy to try this app on the x1. Maybe u should give that ad2p software a try.
I upgraded to the Moto-X for the touchless controls as I commute to work and back on my motorbike and I was really unsatisfied with alternatives floating around to simulate touchless control.
Now when I am in my car and using my bluetooth headset the voice control works just fine, I can navigate, call and send quick messages no problem
But on my bike I use a Viper RSv-131 helmet which has bluetooth built in and I listen to local radio or music whilst I'm riding but my Moto-X does not respond when I cay Ok Google now or when I press the button on my helmet either I can answer incoming calls fine but thats it.
Does anyone else use a Moto-X on a motorcycle/motorbike or even a regular bicycle with bluetooth and do you have similar problems?

Thanks Etcetra, I have bluetooth headset option turned on and it works using my BT headset in the car.
My gut reaction is my car headset is a regular over the ear BT headset but my helmet is like BT stereo headphones with a microphone and so I think it's a different kind of BT but I'm not an expert.
Any advice would be welcome
Check to see which profiles are connected on each device by going into Bluetooth settings and tapping the little settings icon next to the connection.

That's unfortunate as it suggests an incompatibility issue between the two. It should certainly work using the phone profile.
Check with the helmet maker... maybe they have a firmware update available.
Turned off media audio and just tried phone audio but still the same: (
