What is a METRO
METRO is codename for Windows Phone Design System. It's modern, clean, light and open design with no shadows, glows or gradients.
The Design
The Design of these icons it's based on the METRO style, with cleared, straight forms and pure typography. Most of the parts are just basic shapes - circles and rectangles, combine in the best way.
What's in the package
There is 7 main sections, with total 209 icons*3 colours - white, blue and black (overall 627 icons). The files are 256 x 256px ico files (from 16 to 256px) and 256 x 256px png files.
Most of these icons are normal stuff for a computers or smartphones. There are included icons for web browsers, social networks, mobile operators, there are some standard software packages, system icons, and such as multimedia and for navigation systems.
The design of all icons, which are registered trademarks and logos belong to their respective owners.
How to use it
The png files are for Windows Mobile OS, Android, iOS and Linux OS. There is a lot of programs, that allows to change the icons of these OS.
The ico files it's for your Windows OS. Just replace the original icon from the Properties dialogue in any program or folder.
My recommendations for the background are - since the icons are with one solid colour, use dark bg for the white and blue versions and light for the black.
More Icons....
There will be more updates, more icons and colours, please write in comments what programs want to see in metro-style here, or in my deviantart page - http://yankoa.deviantart.com/.

thanks good job

Look very well, thanks

Awesome, thanks.

Love the set man. Thank you.

how do you install it onto android?
btw im using ADW launcher EX

what font is used in the suites icons?

thanks! what a collection

Awesome collection! Completely overhauled my main screen! Kudos!

Nice awesome.

thanks for sharing
it's awesome

Am I allowed to use and modify the icons for my own app (not commercial)?

I know you're probably inundated with requests, but here goes... How about a generic VOIP icon? I know there's a Skype icon (two!) but I use an app called Viber, and there's a lot of competition in this field. Just one icon that could be applied to a whole genre of apps. Right now a lot of devs are just using stylised dialer icons for these apps, so maybe you could come up with something more distinctive!

I love this! Works great on my ICS beta 7 ROM (HTC HD2) I use only these icons on my phone semi transparent... Gives it a really slik look! I really dislike the multicoloured ones the come stock with most apps... Makes my phone look like a "My first Sony" phone

Thanks... just what I was looking for!

APK
App that previously was on the Play Store. Download and click to install.

Nice !

Looks good
cant wait to see whats in store
I definitely like the status bar. Will be interesting to see where this ends up. Good start!
looks nice! but, why is it called Leopard OS X? I dont see the default leopard Icons, which I love
Its called osx leopard because all the status bar icons (battery, wifi, network and signal) are all based of the menu-extras in Leopard. The status bar is also pulled straight from 10.5. Once I have the time, I'll add the osx icons for those that would like it (I personally perfer the stock icons so everything matches) and I'll also theme the launcher when I get time (probably monday, it's drinking time this weekend.)
that's a sexy notification bar. I look forward to this being released
love leopard. would like to see some leopard icons: folder and some icons of leo. The status bar is excellent! good luck mon
Updated 3/17/09
I like this allot, I love the mac look.
Ahhh, pls make no black clock, pls
UPDATED with download link.
BTW there is now a white clock
i like the theme but change the icons and change the status bar and pull up tab
nice theme,thx
I'm digging the theme. I really hope that you continue with it (like skinning the dialer and other apps) , because it looks awesome.
If you don't, I'll probably just have to use the status bar with an aHome theme or something... please don't make me do that. =P
Can you change the Icons?
Here is a Package:
Mac4Lin
Thanks for the icon pack. I've been using that to take my mine off my hangover. I've updated the dialer as well. It's just a tweak, nothing major. I'm just trying to keep things clean. I'll post up a new Zip as soon as I'm finished switching all the icons.
Thanks for the feedback everybody.
this is a nice theme

[TILES][WP7][Metro UI]

Recently the "Metro UI" Launcher in the market has vastly improved save the fact of disappointing amounts of icons, and real proportion in relation to the actual Metro UI.
I've compiled the best white on blue icons for my use, along with full color tiles (WP7 isn't ALL blue tiles with white icons) using the "use image as background" option in the Metro UI selection interface.
To make use of these icons:
Step 1) Extract folder to Internal/External SD card on Android handset
Step 2) When Adding corresponding tile check "Image as background"
Step 3) For "Select Icon" choose "custom" then click select Icon
Step 4) Use file manager of choice to go to directory where icons where extracted
Step 5) Choose and enjoy!

Enjoy!
The tiles for Phone, texts, and gmail are set as icon and not image
they look nice, testing them out now. would it not be easier to make them transparent pngs so the user can still use their own colour? or doesn't metro ui liek png's?
I would, save the fact that metro ui automatically resizes icons to a smaller size not proportional, and big like the actual WP7 Metro UI
this thread is very similar in nature with this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=913747
With different icons though
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
Would you guys like the transparent icons?
Launcher 7 works very well also

I think Metro UI is smoother (like slide for app drawer, the app listing looks better) and it's just more "professional"
hey guys wanted to say this looks really good. im using metro ui pro and i was wondering if someone could make a dungeon wonders icon for a 1x1 tile with whole image as the background.
thanks in advance.

The original MetroStation
I notice, there is a several themes for Metro icons. This is the only one from the original author and this in Windows forum - yankoa.deviantart.com Please respect the rights reserved.

Can we have Sound Toggle icon please. Your work is truly amazing!
I love these Metro-style icons with their slight 3D effect. I'm using them on my homescreen for several month now - mainly for folder icons, but also for a few app icons. I only wish there were some more icons available, as in the "MetroStation" set. Unfortunately I can't use the PSD template to make my own icons, since I don't have the expensive PhotoShop. So I decided to make a similar icon template for the only Graphics software I'm using: Paint Shop Pro 7.0
I tried to come as close as possible to the design of the original MetroDroid icons, but since I don't know exactly how they were made, my icons are looking a bit different. The icons are in PNG format with 256x256 pixels, and they are also a bit larger than the original MetroDroid icons by Yankoa. Most of the symbols I used are from the MetroStation set, others were "googled".
Attached is a preview, some example screenshots, and a ZIP archive containing the icons and the PSP template.

[THEME] Back 2 Blue - a simple theme for CM12.x/CM13

BACK 2 BLUE - a simple theme for CM12.x/CM13
BACKGROUND
As many CM users already know, CM changed how the stock Browser app looks in CM13, using a green palette. Just recently, they also quietly changed the palette for the Messaging app, this time in a more shocking purple. I don't understand why CM decide to put so much eye strain on us, nor do I want to stand the disharmony it caused on my homescreen.
Since there are so many devices of different nature and density, one modified browser/messaging app can't fit all, so I'm inspired to start my first Android "app" project according to CM's guidelines, the result of which is this simple theme that solves the above problem universally.
THEME DESCRIPTION
This theme, as of version 1 r2, themes the following elements:
Browser - revert to a blue version of Lollipop's browser icon; blue palette
Calculator (stock, KitKat and below) - use Marshmallow calculator icon
Email - blue icon and palette
Messaging - blue icon and palette
Sound Recorder - gray palette
Snap Camera - use stock Camera2 icon
Eleven (CM music player) - use icon prior to May 2016
SCREENSHOTS
Before you ask, the statusbar and navbar color effects are achieved by the Xposed module PerfectColorBar, not by the theme.

FINAL WORDS
The theme's aim is to correct the stray colors while keeping things as close to stock CM as possible - I created the project solely to satisfy my needs, to get rid of icons I see as discordance, so I will only theme certain system apps when necessary and will not theme user apps. I don't intend to become a pro themer and compete with all the wonderful full-fledged themes out there, and you might want to consider those themes or even make one yourself if you want further customization. It's easy - I created this one in mere hours, and if you are familiar with Android Studio, you can do it maybe even faster!
Thanks for checking out my first Android "app" project! Toss any useful suggestions below, but as said above, don't expect any requests get integrated
Version 1 r2 reverts the icon of Eleven (the default music player in CM) from the new pinkish one introduced in May to the gray one used prior to the change.
