[Q] Bose on-ear headphones + cable mic - HD2 Accessories

Hello everybody,
I own the bose on-ear, and I love them.
http://www.bose.co.uk/GB/en/home-an...bose-audio-headphones/bose-on-ear-headphones/
I would like to use them with my htc hd2 while calling.
Since the audio cable from the device to the headphones is removable, is it possible to have a 3.5mm female/male cable with a mic and audio controls in it?
I mean something like this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/StarTech-co...1_1?ie=UTF8&s=computers&qid=1288395589&sr=8-1
with mic and controls attached
thx

I've done a slightly different take on this, I snipped the lead between the control module and the headphones and soldered a inline 3.5mm jack socket. This enables me to plug my Sennheiser HD-25 headphones in without having to damage the lead and in fact plug any standard set of headphones in whilst keeping the full functionality of the remote module...

Is there anyone else here who uses a BOSE in-ear headphones?
I've got one and I read a few reviews AFTER I bought it that it's not loud enough. I'm not sure if this is something to do with the phone or the product is just like this.
I've had Klipsch Speakers for my PC before but unsure if their earphones are also very good compared to BOSE.

PPC Techs XDA/SX56 2.5mm/3.5mm Audio Headset Adaptor
This adaptor converts the proprietary 4 conductor Pocket PC phone jack found on the XDA to a STD 2.5mm headset jack and 3.5mm stereo headphone Jack, and includes a PPCPE compatible answer/mute button. The adaptor cable is approximately 5" long.

What are your thoughts. Seems like a good product. Be able to use some decent headphones for listening to those mp3z . . .
Anybody used one of these?
is the answer/mute button only for those 2 functions or is that module also acting as a microphone (don't think so)? looks good to me but i use the headset adaptor i bought from this internet site based in hong kong. check out:
http://pc-mobile.net/pxdaa.jpg (the website is http://pc-mobile.net)
it comes with a standard 2.5 mm jack for the xda. the wire is on a retractable mechanism to avoid tangling. at the other end is the stereo phone jack which serves as an answer/end button and as a microphone as well. there's a single headphone jack connected which uses a 3.5mm plug. when you want to listen to the toons using your 2-headphone set; you simply unplug the jack and insert any 3.5mm plug-based headset. in effect you can use any 3.5 headset as handsfree.
costs 26usd but services are 5-stars for me.
cheers
Anyone tried this adaptor from pc-moblie.net? The sound quality is good or bad?
i doubt that it could damage the quality so you can hear it unless you connect it to a stereo's lineIn and play it out using real speakers
those headsets are too limited imho to take much damage from a few connectors
However, all these things are not suitable for xdaII.
I bought one from pc-mobile and the quality is good. However, since the new xdaII got 2 buttons in its handsfree design, this product from pc-mobile is not fully compatible. You can hear from it but you can't pick up or end call from it as compared to xda1 you can.
I hope they can produce another product which is fully compatible with xda2. Otherwise, I may have to go for bluetooth but really worry about the battery.
Also, can I or is there anyone using the bluetooth handsfree for mp3 playing????? I doubt that very much.
I do really like the pc-mobile handsfree which is retractable and handy.
Any alternative in the market?? You got the adaptor but I think its only good for audio MP3 listening. If you attach another headsfree to the adaptor for business use (don't know whether we can...), you will have 2 buttons (one for the adaptor and one for the handsfree) which is quite funny !
Does somebody else have this problem and find a solution?
Do most people use bluetooth?
*Damn* !
Been creating a cable myself, tried it yesterdaynight late....
The damn thing didn't answer the phone when i pressed te button.
I cut the audio-out cord and trew the cable away, because i tought the mic didn't work....
Now i read this.... Guess the mic did work, but the answerbutton didn't.
Now i hope i can rewire the audio-out cabels again, so i haven't been soldering for nothing last night
Headphone adapter for HTC magic
Hello.
On the HTC magic, there isnt a 2.5 or a 3.5 headphone jack! there is only a mini USB jack. Does anyone know where i could get a mini USB jack adapter to turn it into a regular headphone jack?
Even if anybody knows what kind of mini USB jack comes on the HTC then that would be lots of help! because ive already purchased one that fit, but didnt work so it must have been a different type.
Thanks in advance!

quick question audio headphone

I was looking around the phone and can't find any jack to plug any audio headphone. do i need a special wires headphone for the tilt?
There was a usb-headphone supplied with my Kaiser (audio headphones with a small usb-jack).
You can buy an extra adapter that allows 2.5mm audio jacks, like this one: picture.
It may be easier to get some Bluetooth Headphones...

Diamond headphone alternative

can anyone recommend an alternative set of miniusb headphones?
my headphones tangle at any opportunity, instead of making the cord 'slick' they made it 'sticky' and the angular earpiece means it is difficult to untangle.
the original headphones are a piece of crap! Go and get the RC E100 and buy some extra good in-ear headphones and plug them in the remote control. Works pretty well!

YC A 300 Multifunction Audio Cable

I'm having a problems with it so if anyone has some info on the matter I'd greatly appreciate...
I bought it to for use with my "headset" consisting of in ear headphone(s) and an external microphone (Olympus ME52W) both with 3.5mm jacks. The audio cable has "mic in lines" on 3.5 and 2.5mm jacks. Can I use some of those "2 in 1" adapters to get both of my periferals to one 3.5mm jack? Will the mic work? It's the 2.2 KOhm with plug in power system 1.5-10V if that's of importance. Does the cable give it enough power?
Since my electronics knowledge is almost zero can someone explain the mic and phones part?
Maybe I should explain what I want to achieve with my weird setup. The idea is to use it with some program which modifies my voice...don't ask me why...the mic should be as discrete as possible and the in ear bud is also in that way. That's why I avoid to use "normal" headphone+mic headset which would BTW work with YC A300, yes?
And one last thing, if some soldering will be necessary to get it to work, is there a schematics of extUSB on Diamond so I can get it to someone to put together the mic and earphones on 3.5mm jack? And hope to work.
What sort of microphone is the one which comes with official wired headset?
So many questions on my mind.
Sorry for the long one, but I really need this, and my searches on the subject were not very successful.

[Q] USB to Jack

Hey,
I was wondering about the quality of such cables. Like this one :
http://www.befr.ebay.be/itm/ADAPTAT...ripheriques_CasquesMicros&hash=item20bc79d7f1
Do they work well ? My stock headset is dying and want to replace it with a standard jack headset. Does this adaptator affect the sound quality ?
And on a side note, does headset buttons and controls still work if I use it ?
Thanks.
Sound quality is not affected, i'm sure at 99%,but all depends on your headphones,i bougth a snheisser by 10$ and i'm so glad with them.
About the buttons headset didn't proved it but i think they would work.
I bought something like that, the phone doesn't automatically detect it so I have to use a widget to activate it. The sound quality is ok, but it's better over bluetooth
Ya it work
One you have showed is 5-pin mini USB(male) to 3.5mm jack (female) and if button is on the connector it will work, if button is on your earphones then it will not work. I also use this kind of connector but it came with the box.:good:
