HI
I'm a g. mini user and i wanna install cm 7.2. I have tried take a efs file backup with efs pro but I've failed. How can I get a backup? :crying:
efs backup is not required for installing cm7
if you have an operator specific phone then you will need the backup else you don't need
I have a few question regarding nandroid backup and titanium backup.
1. If I do nandroid backup of original ROM and then I flash to another ROM, what happens if I directly do restore from the backup from another ROM?
2. What is the difference between nandroid backup and titanium backup? As far as I'm concerned, titanium backup only backup the apps + data. How about nandroid backup?
3. Will nandroid backup, restore all my current states with all the apps + data?
Thanks guys. I'm a bit confuse.

1. If you are restoring from the same android build version then you can directly do restore from nandroid backup.. that will bring your phone in the state you took the backup in.
2. Nandroid backup takes a backup of everything except SD card data... all settings, call logs, messages etc etc.. if you didn't delete anything from SD card then restoring a nandroid backup will restore your phone to your earlier state.
3. Yes, it will.. though it doesn't affect SD card data, so if you delete or add something there it will be like that.
That`s mean i have to flash back to my own ROM and then do nandroid restore. After that, i can get all my previous apps + data? Am I right?

Just to be sure.
First - Do nandroid backup of current original ROM (with apps + data).
Second - Flash to other type of ROM (GB, ICS, JB) for testing.
Third - Change back to original ROM.
- 1st - Flash Back to ori ROM.
- 2nd - Do nandroid restore.
Fourth - Get back original ROM with apps and data like before (same thing as in First)
Is it possible to make a Nandroid Backup without backing up the current ROM? If yes how?
I'm using CWM Recovery
Thanks for your answers in advance
What are you backing up if you don't want to backup the current rom?
Apps, datas, Pics, music, etc
Advanced backup and backup data only. However actual files on SDCard will not be backed up.. so you will have to copy them over out of the phone manually.
i want an efs backup in img format without nv-data.bin i have my imei so no problem is in giving it as it does not leak your personal information like imei
Hi
After doing a nandroid backup with TWRP 3.0.0.0 for all partitions including EFS when trying to restore after booting up my device it I get an "invalid IMEI" error.
Looking inside the EFS folder I can see that most files are missing and only a default nv_data.bin has been created.
Is there another method to mount the efs.mtd.win file and copy his contents?
Or perhaps another method to restore it or at least understand why it's not restoring properly?
Thanks for any hint.
