I use themes all the time and my phone has never looked as sexy as it does now thanks to all theme devs.
I have one quirk, all themes look so sexy with one odd ugly looking calender widget on my home screen.
Please..Please.. skin the Calender widget when you release the next version of you skin. All Devs pay attention to search & Music widget but leave the Calender widget.

i was looking through the .apk, and it looks like it would be mostly xml edits to skin the calendar widget.... not 100% sure tho
I agree... The calendar widget looks very awkward on most of these themes.
posted this exact request in Q&A a couple days back, no responses...
I know beagz said he was going to look into this, that's the last I'd heard. I hope someone can make this happen, default widget just doesn't blend with these beautiful themes.

Something dark would be really nice... is it possible to make the text white?

ears burn much? look forward to seeing what you do. I'd love to see something that blends with the hero flip clock or retro widgets but I'm sure whatever you do will look great. Really think someone needs to take the initiative and develop a new calendar widget from scratch, so many possibilities though... now that I think of it, I'd even like a full screen widget, maybe... ahhh who knows.
I like the flip clock idea since so many use it.
Stay tuned. When I do that there will be more than one.
I wish someone would just do a simple skinning of it like how the pictureframe in KSpec Oreo looks... just the border needs a good look the rest can stay the same.

Text color is not a part of the ROM. You can change the color of your text by logging into your google calendar online and on the left should be your calendar name, change that color to what you would like your text color to be and then resync your phone. Text changed!
Please, PLEASE can someone release a set of skins for this!

Check out the "pure Calender" widget. it costs $0.99, but it is SO worth it. There are different sizes to fit with just about any widget setup, and a bunch of different skins so it can blend with almost any theme you want! Also, it shows as many events as will fit on the screen, not just one like the default calendar widget
My first time uploading a theme I did for Sense 2.1.
Its based on Burberry's Original, Black and Purple Checks. This includes the background and clock of Sense 2.1. I can't make a screen shot, so sorry about that, maybe someone who tried it can be kind enough to post it for me.
Download
Checked out your theme. Very nice clock...I am not very familiar with Burberry the colors for the wallpaper are they the right ones? if you had something a little brighter or lighter it would show up better against tabs, programs and other options. I took some screen shots and will upload them for anyone who wants to see the good work you did. Thanks, I will find a place amongst my collection of clocks that actually work as they should.
Great job and hope to see some more quality work from you. Maybe a theme that could go a little futher and skin other buttons and options?
Chavtastic!!
so im new to the whole developing thing but i did make a tweaked version of frost using various parts of other themes that works with the aosp magic rom. if anyone wants to try it out let me know. i will be sure to give credit where its due once i compile a list of all the people involved in making the orginals.i will also add that the only actual editing of any sort that i did was of the services.jar to make the foont on the notifications bar white instead of black.
(I am not responsible for anything that may happen to your phone.)
Things themed in zip:
Framework-res.apk
TWFramework-res.apk
New Fonts
Settings.apk
Youtube.apk
also added...

Don't include setCPU. The developer has asked for it not to be distributed in roms and/or themes.
Just giving you a heads up.
my bad lol. i remember reading that now that you mention it. like i said. new to this. thanks for the heads up.
Post a copy.. I like it, i'll try it out. I have been looking for a clear notification bar with the black type of theme.
So I can't actually post links but the semi url in the post is the link out at least it should be ;-)

I downloaded the theme and like it alot. A couple of suggestions to make it better though:
-When downloading apps the font is black on gray and is really hard to read, if it was white it would be much better
-I'd love to see the stock lockscreen thrown in the ROM if possible
-The green font is kind of neat in the menus but, having the green text entry box limits your theming options
I will take a look at these things and see if I can make those changes. Probably won't be until tomorrows though. Kinda busy...

where is the link?
I like this! Diggin the status bar and icons ++1, wanna see more of this
do we install this thru cwm?
This makes the AOSP look fantastic!
Three issues:
- The bold seems to be forced to non-bold, as an app I have which normally lists unread in bold and read in non-bold, which now lists ALL entries in non-bold, now.
- The green subtext in settings is tough to read and detracts from the larger white titles, as they are now non-bold. A grey would be better served instead of green, and re-bold the text.
- The download notification text is black and is nearly hidden. Making it white or light grey is best, here.
Thanks for making the AOSP ROM look less like a 1994 era HTML page and more like a modern UI
Am i missing the dl or link?

This is especially annoying in Gmail since new emails are shown in bold. Also the stock lockscreen can be found over in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=793479&highlight=deodex. It works fine since ASOP magic is already deodexed.

it is more than likely the font that i have installed im going to start taking a look at all these other things right now. probably have an update and/or another zip for the stock font tonight. thanks for all the input btw. considering this is my first attempt at anything im glad to see that for the most part it is liked.
Any updates coming soon? I'd love to keep this theme, but the lack of bold is killing me

I have a flashable zip i made for someone a while back with just the stock font if you want to use it in the meantime. It will give you back bold.

Frost with bold and no extra apps
I love this Frost theme, but hated losing bold and had no use for the added apps included, so I made a stripped down version with bold support.
Contains:
FONT: Zegoe (Light and normal) font -- so bold is less bold and normal is really light, taking up less pixel space per character
No extra apps
Original Frost theming changes
Simply flash through recovery as always
Thanks! I will have to try this when I get home.

Open the MTZ file with winrar, extract the lockscreen via winrar again and just change the image over making sure that the name is the same. if you are looking to edit the images use photoshop or you will loose any transparency on the images please note you may need to compress the file .. if you are not sure how this is done follow these steps http://forums.miuiandroid.com/showthread.php?8202-MIUI-Theme-How-To-1.7.8
Thread now updated ( 03/08/11 )with Round icons
Request will be taken and actioned ASAP
Thank you for the requests i will post the updates on Saturday
Very nice, I like the look of round lockscreen icons although imo I think they'd look better without the text labels beneath them. The megaupload link is down.
Plus, a little confused by the browser icon. It looks more suited as icon for compass!
Also, maybe a cosmetic bug. Quite often it shows a flat red line (no signal or is it low signal) while flat red line I had a 5 min phone call perfectly fine.

thank you for pointing out about the browser icon i will change that ASAP also megaupload link should now be working fine.
Also i will edit the file on friday evening and i will clear the writing underneath icons.
PS do you prefer the lockscreen with a round background or would you prefer no background (Transparent)
please see a few new updated lockscreens these are uploaded but i have not yet changed previews in the theme folder i will do this ASAP... Thank you all for your patience
The shortcut icons do look better with a round background. I've had the lockscreen before with transparent background and it just doesnt look right, as if the icons are out of place.

i think i have finally uploaded the correct files sorry it took a while
Hi
Another thing I've noticed is when I apply the theme, the lockscreen icons are different to the same app icons when screen unlocked.
Could you please rectify
i take it you mean the app within the ring when you drag this down.... this was because i had just transfered the same ring to all roms again can be changed it isnt a big job its just a matter of a little photoshop ill sort it soon
Ok thanks, appreciate all the effort.
Its little corrections that will make it perfecto

I posted this thread in the International M8 forum, but since there are some awesome themers on the Sprint side, figured I'd crosspost it here, get your input as well.
Feel free to post comments in this thread to help keep it alive, but if you've any stuff to add please click through and add them to the main thread so it's easier for me to index stuff. If a passing mod feels like making this a sticky, then I could close the thread and keep the International one as the main thread.
So Sense 6 is finally here, and it brings with it another round of the cat and mouse game that HTC loves to play with XDA themers.
Veteran HTC themers will know that each version of Sense brings new challenges, and sadly Sense 6 is no exception. I had made a bunch of reference guides for Sense 5.5, but other than sending out the Dropbox link, never got around to doing much with them.
I figured this time I'd hit the ground running and create a central thread where we could all share what we've found, rather than scattered posts in various mod/theme/rom threads.
Please feel free to add any theming stuff you find while exploring Sense 6, requests for help etc. Pictures of your themes/mods are welcome, provided you are also explaining how you did them if the info isn't already posted in the thread.

Interested in modding blinkfeed or prism grid, I think lockscreen may need it too, so that 420dpi works fitting icons/widgets wise.

Ah yes, that screen is just crying out for a higher dpi. I'll have to look into that at some point, unless you crack it first!
Thanks for the awesome guide @fisha21. Going to check out a bunch of the links. Have you had any time to look at the keyboard? Just wondered if it pulls images from somewhere else now or if the buttons are actually just color xmls now. I guess I'll have to learn how to use vts now, because when I decompile the HTC-IME.apk with apktool I get some really weird stuff going on. Thanks in advance and appreciate all of this info.

I haven't actually looked into IME at all yet, but I have been told that all the colours etc have been moved back to xml, not in smali like Sense 5.5. Have also been told that the keys are indeed now a colour in colors.xml. Thanks to @Mr Hofs and @Basil3 for those tips!

Haha, of course...always room for our Sprint cousins at the party. Think the fix Ray posted was for the background of the word suggestion panel. Don't think anyone's posted details of all the IME stuff yet, although sounds like some of the stuff might be similar to my Sense 5.5 guide in the dropbox folder link in the OP?

Oh yeah I posted a new tutorial in the m8 threads, which a few people requested: on how to move the signal cluster and how to move each part of the signal cluster and also how to add the operator ID to the statusbar. :good:
Yea, very interested in getting 420dpi or something to work properly with prism launcher. Stopped scaling proper in sense 5.x.

Cool and thank you. I finally got the keyboard where i can decompile/compile it. Had to fix all of the broken images to get to that point, thanks to reading your main thread to figure that out. Now i gotta try and figure out how to direct the key background to an image instead of color in values/colors, so we can really make them stand out. Thanks again for your help and everyone that has contributed to the reference guide.
I'm trying to move the horizontal eqs to the bottom of the status window.
