which is the best ROM for me to sort out my device with?
I have at my disposal BA_WM5_AKU3.5_R4-xplode.lazy.release
or the ROM kitchen but unsure about how to use that are there any others i should download?

also whats a vanilla version? and if its good how do i get it?

Vanilla version is a generic version, not specific to a particular model.
I will say starting with Kitchen, or Baniaczek

New ROM and Radio...just in the future please use the search feature...if you go to kaiser upgrading etc. there is a sticky posted there describing all of the ROM releases.

Still in need telus s720 rom update

HTC S720 (TELUS) Update - Version 3.03.661.2
I need it. i have spent weeks with tech support on htc and all they can say is that they have requested it and i need to check to see if they have it re posted on their website
Please someone Help me find the DOWNLOADABLE rom...and not a link to the HTC support website.
ive even searched asian webpages, and NO one has it.

Since this phone is very old and seems to be unsupported (both by Verizon and HTC), could you post this ROM(s) here for those who are still looking for it?

ROM Version : 1.03.931.8 WWE
so is this Hacked ROM or official?
what do i get with hacked rom that i don't have with official?
is there some application that can install on hacked ROM and not on official?
i searched a little bit, and if i understood this... my firmware, is actully htc hacked?

more speed,longer battery life,nicer menus etc,its worth trying

okay, so i've tryed to update my windows, using SE Updater, and i COULDN'T... it says something "manipulated software" and i can't go on? please help... how to update??

You won't be able to update using the SEUpdate software if you have a custom ROM flashed - you need a stock ROM.
You can obtain a stock ROM from this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=475482
You may as well choose the latest firmware (R3A) and flash that. After that there's no point trying to update through SEUpdate as there isn't a newer firmware.

i am really a beginner, so i am affraid of screwing up my phone and i don't know ho to obtain stock rom ... and tell me, if a update to official version, do i still have the htc sense? i mean, the slider at the bottom, "home, videos, wheter..." ? thank you

no you won't. you'll get the crappy WinMo today screen.
you can always use the SE home panels or Touch Flo 3D if you choose to go stock

How to flash official rom Xperia 1 II?

There is only one custom rom available for our device, just wait for devs. Also Sony does have instructions on how to build aosp from source. Might want to look at that if you want to learn to build Android for the mark 2.

Ohh this is interesting, how difficult is this to do? Would we have to use a basic camera app or would/could stock be ported?

I think it'd have to be ported with the correct files and permissions. also I haven't tried it yet, I want to enjoy the mark 2 stock for as long as I can before I start messing with the phone. The photo pro app is pretty neat.

Hello, I flashed the custom EU but I have to warn you that it doesn't include VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling. I'm so upset.
