Ok I'm not new to this but I have no clue how to post a preview of my bootanimation on this site I have the program that saves it as an animated .gif but its too large to load on here

"too large to load on here" what do you mean? How big is it? What file host are you using? Attachments are useless for anything other than text files.
I'm attempting to attach an animated gif on this sites post but I'm pretty sure the gif max is like 800 and I'm trying to load somewhere around 2000 others have bootanimations posted and I was trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong

I have put up a website specifically for the bionic and have posted all the boot logos I've created and tons of boot animations I have ported over. I am still working on the site so bits and pieces are not yet complete, but all dl links are up. I will still be checking this thread but using it primarily for requests. but please, check out the site and let me know what you think...

I created a few custom boot logos last night for use with P3Droid Bionic Toolbox which is available thru the tbh app and figured I would share. Now there is an issue with color which i'm working on perfecting but the attached logos look pretty hot so check them out.
VW logo:

Tripped out sublime sun:
http://db.tt/egZKgwdc
Couple rage logos:
http://db.tt/mTauM8L2 http://db.tt/xnslzT1M
Of course I am not responsible for anything that happens to the phone but I have tested each of these and worked perfect for me. To flash, paste files in /sdcard/tbhtoolbox/custom_boot_logos, open up the P3Droid Bionic Toolbox and go to boot options, boot logo, custom logo and choose file. If you would like me to make a custom logo for you just post a reply on the thread with the image and I'll see what I can do.

So none of those have any form of red or blue in them? (I didnt actually look at the logos)
A couple do but look nice with a blue tone rather than red so figured I would post. Here's another I created for a droidforums subscriber with the red/blue color fixed up:

First off I have to say I am glad to see someone else with Dub Love on here.
Second thing I was wondering if you might be able to point me in the right direction to start laying with this a little on my own? If not its all good but I am hoping to start playing around more now that I have the D3 and a little spare time.

If you're using photoshop....
Make your image 540x540
Save it as a raw photoshop pic (.RAW)
Find the file, rightclick it, get rid of the extension and make the extension .img
From that format, you can put it into the boot logos folder in the TBH area of sd-ext and load it onto your phone through the TBH app

Can you also post pics of the different logos so people know what they're downloading?

I do use Photoshop as tivo has listed. I ensure that the image is exactly 256 pixels in height, and no more than 540 pixels wide (width won't matter, just can't be over 540). I then change the canvas size to 540x540 for a final image size of 540x540. And you can change the .raw extension to .img when saving the file in Photoshop so you don't have to manually do it after the fact. And yes, I will have pics and a few more boot logos up shortly.

The tbh app will provide the latest leaks for your device. For the bionic and Droid 3 it will also provide a link to the p3droid toolbox after purchase. The app provides a reboot menu, bloat/drbloat menu, install 10% meter, boot options, customize fonts, themes, wallpapers, and utilities. If you're interested, check it out here:

I am interested, but it doesn't say our device is supported. I have the liberty one, will that work?

It's says bionic is not supported but it definitely is. Once you complete the purchase you get sent an email with download link. In the tbh app you will have links to get the p3Droid bionic toolbox, which is what you will use to change the boot logo, and links to rsd lite 5.5 and moto drivers. Unfortunately jrummy's ROM manager will not do the trick.

Liberty toolbox and tbh toolbox are separate. They both work separately on the bionic. They both have their strengths and weaknesses but they both work.

Try using opera browser, free in market, or use a computer, then transfer the file to the phone.

Hi guys,
this is not my first attempt to create a bootanimation for android devices, but it's the 1st that I think I did a nice work. I don't like those "eating apples" and other stuff, I like simple stuff, simple graphics and... well, I think you'll get the idea.
It will work on any device with 480x800 screen, just rename the zip file to "bootanimation.zip" and place it on "\system\media\" as usual.
I hope you like it.
EDIT: I've just added a new bootanimation, I like it more as it's much more simple!
EDIT: I've added two more bootanimations.
gif preview and the actual bootanimation attached below.
Haha. Nice! Thanks!
Good work thanks
I've just added another new bootanimation
clever. great work.

Nice. Diggin' the new animation.
Thank you first before trying out... my current animation is a 8bit one, 27kb...
Since yours is quite interesting, changing now. Just simple and amazing

Thank you everyone I'm glad you liked it.
I've just made a slight change to the new bootanimation, I've changed the inner colour of the android from dark grey to black, I think it looks better, I didn't replaced the preview gif, but you have an idea by the still picture.
Thanks man, looks nice
Very nice, will use it.
Added two more new bootanimations, the last one being my favourite and using now =)
Cheers
Those look really great! Thanks!

I would if I knew how but I find it easy to copy/paste it with root explorer or similar file manager, I also custom any rom by putting it(or any other app or res images) into the rom zip file using winrar.
Great work! Using the "new bootanimation" and love it
Hi, looking for the jellybean stock boot animation, from the I/O,before ota, not the glowing "X". I've seen it around, just not sure of the correct resolution, etc. for the xoom. Thanks.

Any luck for one developed for the Xoom?

Doesn't work with xoom ...whatever boot animation I set, an android logo text is only shown at boot
Sent from Motorola Xoom using xda app
I was able to get it to work copying the bootanimation.zip file and pasting it elsewhere, but not by using the app. But, the resolution was not correct, even though I selected the right one.

Well, I tried pulling from the recent OTA, as well as the wallpapers, but no luck. I think the files are embedded in the patch files. Anyone have any ideas...maybe someone who installed the OTA can grab from their Xoom? Thanks.

the page has Bootanimations, Shutdown Animation, and shutdown sounds.
Really good collection they have there...Check it out

I have a gif type file which contains actly a image of text ,and how can I edit tat text in a notepad plz help me if anyone know abt it I am ready to donate also if I am helped
Sent from my Wildfire S A510e using xda app-developers app
.gif files are images, so even if the image is of text, the text can't be edited as plain text in the same way a .txt file could. You'll need an image editor capable of opening .gif files, Microsoft Paint actually does a pretty good job if it's a non-animated .gif, simply open the file, remove the existing text with the eraser tool and use the text tool to add your new text. If it's an animated .gif it'll be slightly tougher, but you should be able to find some software online for editing animated .gif files. I used to use Jasc Animation Shop years ago, but I don't think that exists anymore.
As said above, you cannot use notepad to edit that text. You need an actual image editor and in the case of animated gif's it needs to be an editor capable of editing animations which not all do (and you get some weird results in some softwares trying to edit them, MS paint just loads the first frame, some software my school used to have would load all images in a row and then crash).
GIMP is one of the few softwares off the top of my head which can edit animated gifs.
Paint will probably do for non animated gifs.
No man I jus need to copy that text in gif file and paste it somewhere like notepad tats it man plz help me if any software exists Like tat if possible with t link

It doesn't work that way. You might be able to find some sort of OCR tool that will read the text, but you can't just open a gif in notepad and copy text out.
No need of opening n all tat but I jus need tat text in gif file and copy tat tats it man plz help

Open up notepad and manually type the text that you see on the .gif. There is no program that I am aware of that will do this for you
