So you want to play PS3 while holding a phone to your ear?
What are you trying to do? I think I understand, but why? Even using it in speakerphone mode would suck...I am just confused as to the functionality of it is all, but it could probably be done...

Well I dont want buy bluetooth headset you know how you use it as speakerphone to talk to people, can you it as mic

Hmmm...I dunno. I don't have a PS3 to try. I was just curious about why, but that makes sense.

Pretty sure if you did get it to work that the background noise would irritate anyone on PSnetwork trying to listen to you. That being said the PS3 only recognizes certain bluetooth profiles (mainly the HID profile) which the hero does not have. In short, there's no way that I know of to do it. Many have tried to get it to connect so they can use it as a keyboard or remote, but no one has been able to do so yet.

BT And Audio link with HBH-300

Is there anyone who knows if it's posible to create a audio link between BT HBH-300 and Qtek9090.
Thanks in advance..
Lars
It's possible to make Phone Calls with it, but it's currently not possible to play music on any Phone Headset.....if thats what you mean.
I'm using HBH-300

Will it ever be possible?

Only if someone alters the way the BA comunicate and authenticate the device connected.
I would imagine that it's just a matter off what Identification the Headsett sends, saying that this is a Phone Headset. Making it overlook this could make it possible (I don't know, but i pretty sure it's that simple).
But i would imagine that this is hardcoded into the BT drivers, making it difficult to alter.
Darn...
That's sad...
Was hoping to redirect the sound from tomtom to the BT headset...
Guess not then?

Audio routed to Bluetooth?

hey guys i've been searching for an app that can maybe re-route audio to bluetooth. i used to use a similar program like that on WinMo handsets. my searches have turned up nothing, short of getting a stereo headset that supports AD2P is there a way that i can send the audio from my music player to my bluethoot? btw i am rooted and running JF 1.5....thanks
I hear you on this one (pun intended)! On my Wing I downloaded an app called 'BTaudio' and it performed flawlessly! I am quite suprised that no one has developed an app like this for the G1 yet...at least as far as I know!
I miss listening to music through my BT headset as well. I think it was added to the ota cupcake version that tmo/google released. I'm not sure though as I have a rooted g1 running jf 1.51cbr43. Hope someone figures it out soon cause I sold my ipod touch and won't use the adapter lol.....

well i'm no expert but from what i've read i've deducted that cupcake does support Stereo Bluetooth (AD2P) but you need a compatible headset to use it. i won't really have much use for a stereo headset so i don't really want to buy one, i hope someone can develop an app to address this issue.
I am stunned that no one at all has come up with this program to satisfy the needs of many. This should be cake-work for any android programmer.
My TMobile Wing was stolen from me by TSA at an airport in Georgia in September. So I do not even have it to use as a backup anymore when I need to use the BTAudio program. Got to love TSA sometimes!!
I specifically need to use an audio gateway for sounds effects and music to be played over standard mono Bluetooth audio.
Bump
Did anyone find a solution to this? I want to route all phone audio to my bluetooth headset, so I can use voice search and listen to Visual Voicemail without having to pick up the phone.
I wish!!!! It sucks that this is not a standard part of the OS.

I don't see anything in the market under "root" that enables A2DP....
me neither??????
A2DP
has been enabled sice 1.5... I've been using it with headphones and a stereo gateway for awhile now w/ no problems... unless I'm misunderstanding your question. If so, please explain.
Re-Asking Question for better understanding
Okay lemme re-ask the question with more specific way ahaha. Does anyone know any hack for Android Cupcake, T-Mobile G1, ROOTED, that can enable Bluetooth Streaming through a Bluetooth headset that isn't a stereo Bluetooth just a mono ear (the ones you use for talking and listening with one ear)?

I was using Bluetooth to stream Tunewiki music to my Jaybird stereo bluetooth headset on the latest JACMytouchSkiv2.0. I can't imagine why that build wouldn't work with a regular bluetooth headset like your asking.......
Nandroid backup your current build, wipe and flash this one and see what happens. Probably the only real way to find out.
hahaha........ my bad
I had a dumb moment sorry everyone. I miss read the initial question. So sorry I though he was asking for a Bluetooth to send data. Lol I feel so dumb. Sorry everyone my mistake
it's alrite lol but yea ima gonna try jacmytouchski took me long to download because my computer is soo slow ahaha
okay i tried the tunewiki with jacmytouchskiv.2.0 didn't work with my motorola h15 headset i don't what to do
I've only tried out Cyanogen's and Dude's builds and both support A2DP fine. Granted there were small issues with skipping and that but Cyanogen patched it so it works. Try out his latest STABLE build and give it a go.
i'm thinking this is a problem with bluetooth profiles. You'd need something configured to allow media streaming to the headset profile. If you go into your motorola h15 options in bluetooth settings you should see there is no option to stream media audio to the headset, thereby eliminating the possibility to do so.
You could go out and buy a new headset that supports A2DP (downmixed to mono), otherwise, anything short of some kind of profile hack will limit your possibilities.
here's a headset that does what you want: http://store.androidguys.com/productAccessories.asp?id=15456&t=d
Could be the headset yeah... I've only tested the bluetooth A2DP on two devices, one is a phillips stereo headset and another is a jabra something (mono) as its my dads.
I think though he was saying that he was getting zero music going to his headset though rather than only from the left/mono channel?
All the builds that support A2DP are in the ROM database so try some of those....

App Mic Idea

I have a VENTRILLO SERVER (http://www.ventrilo.com/)
and it'd be cool if I can use my G1 as a mic? Maybe plug it in via USB or something and talk via bluetooth or headset or something..
Not to be condescending but.... WHY? Most computers have them already and not like the G1 microphone is anything special.

true. and actually, buying yourself a $20 headset from any store will give you superior sound quality to what you'd get through a g1 interface.
Well how about a ventrilo Client. It doesn't use much bandwidth.

Cause the ventrilo protocol has been encrypted and no one has broken it yet.

Actually your better off just using a BT headset and a BT adapter for your desktop. I've suggested the same to my gf, as she spends plenty of time in WoW and on vent. I've done it many times for voice chat on my pc.

Audio through bluetooth

Anyone know of a way to use a standard blue tooth piece as a head set? I'm not worried about it being in stereo or not, Id like to figure out how to do it. I mostly listen to AM stuff on my phone anyways. I would assume its possible as its glitched and done it after a phone call once before , I can not find an app or setting that will allow this. Any ideas? Im running Cyanogen 4.2.15.1 if that makes a difference.
Any ideas?
Hell yeah...just bought a bluetooth....plz...anyone?! is it even possible?
As long as your headset supports A2DP bluetooth profiles it should just connect automatically to 'phone and media audio', meaning you can stream music or whatever to your BT device. As far as I know most non-stereo headsets dont support A2DP.
You can try the BlueSoleil.
There is a Hardware Check tool. It is used for checking whether your Bluetooth adapter supported by BlueSoleil 6 before using BlueSoleil.
