My galaxy s i9000 is acting strange... normally, when i press the power button to unlock the screen, there is a lock screen which i have to unlock it by sweeping it, lately this lock screen suddenly disappeared and and when i press the power button it takes me directly to use the phone, so how can i bring back this lock screen?
Please any help will be appreciated. thanks in advance

Maybe you have installed an extended statusbar and deactivated lockscreen.
What firmware/rom are you guys using?

And try a factory reset..if that dont work then reflash the rom/firmware..
Plus check the settings for lockscreen...

Alright guys,
Tried installing some battery icon replacement the phone then restarted...then gets stuck on galaxy s screen it plays the startup music in the background but doesnt change...i held the volume up, home and power button to reset the phone but it still freezes on the screen.
I've got no idea how to flash to stock australian rom any help would be most appreacited....
Turn the phone off.
Check then if download mode is working(volume+,home then power).
If this works then use odin to change the firmware.
Search the development section for this.
Hope you fix it.

Okay so i have samsung captivate. i was running continumm 6.1 when this happen, power button was working fine almost all day, then it just stopped working. I cant unlock it, power it on or lock it. i used Odin to go back to stock and still having the same issue, any help?

I have problem in my galaxy note when l try to lock it i just need to press home bottom twice it's open voice command!!!!! It's very annoying specially when l put in my pocket if u know any solution please tell me guys

Never used voice to go. May be there could be an option to disable home button ?
do you mean that you need to press the home button in order to lock the screen? or you mean that your phone goes to the voice command after pressing the home button twice even though your phone is in the sleep mode?
I mean when l press the home bottom twice it bypass the lock screen by voice command .!and Unlock the device

Hi, my note sometimes has the problem that when it's locked and i press a button (home or power) it does 'pop up' but then it stucks and only hardware buttons are responding
I can't use my touchscreen for aan while..
I did notie that aan sync notification pops in the upper bar and disapears and my wifi is turned of..

factors reset if possible. If not try to flash a stock rom via Odin. if that still doesn't work send it back it might be a defect.
I already did factory reset; same problem; going to flash stock rom tommorrow; hope it helps thx!

Or do u use any kind of widegets on the lock screen itself or live wallpaper? Try disable all of this if any.

No none of that al, Just used stock lockscreen, but I'm now using widgetlocker and this seems to fix the problem! Although I don't like this way; i'll probably have to until ics update ;p

Edit: still same issue... I have to say it's always when i pull it out my pants or pull it out of something else... When i lay it down somewhere and then unlock after a while, no problems

hi everyone how are you..
i have galaxy note n7000 running on 4.1.2 jb xsg
suddenly my phone won't lock screen if i push power button screen just go off without screen lock, power button also won't show power menu if i hold the power button it will go off just like that i tried to format it many times flash the rom with. odin again also plenty of times and still won't lock.... so i will be very thankful if anyone help me to solve this problem because i started to hate my note..... thank you
Did you check the lock screen settings?
Please check the lock screen type. If it is 'None', please change it into 'Swipe', 'Pattern', etc..
