Suddenly I find I cannot open any html files from the device. PIE, Opera mini, File Explorer and Resco File Explorer all give the same error "The file "xxxx" cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate or one of its components cannot be found". Same happens with apps which have to access offline html files.
Works fine online - just affects files stored on the device or storage card. Hope someone can help.
Has anyone installed new Certificates (Root Certs, CA certs, Own certs) on to a Diamond? When I try run the SpAddCert application from MS it gies me an error.
"The file SpAddCert.exe cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file."
This is the file I got from...
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/915840/en-us
Any help appreciated.
Why are you trying to use SPaddcert? thats for smartphones/WMStandard.
You have a WM Professional device. just copy the cer file to the device and then open it in file manager.
It doesn't matter where you copy it to, just go into file manager, find the folder and then tap on the file.
you'll then get the prompts to install it.
The only normal reason this wouldn't work is if you have a network branded device and some bastard at the network decided to disable this part of the OS.
I spent the bigger part of a full day (weekend) trying to get my Diamond to connect to my company's Exchange-server.
What I ended up doing was very simple.
I used my PC with IE8 and went to our Outlook-Web-Access-page
There i got "The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority" and then "Continue..."
Once certificate is used, I clicked on the "Certificate"-icon in the address-bar and "View certificates"
In "Details" I clicked "Copy to file" and chose the "PKCS #7" INCLUDING "certification path".
The resulting file was copied to my Diamond, and just direct-click in the "File Manager" and, voila ! Exchange-connectivity was in perfect condition.
I've used Resco Manager to replace the .exe file to see if this fixes the problem, but it still says:
The file 'SIM_MGR' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling this file.
Any ideas?
I all out of things to try...

Actually you should be able to get it from the zip file you flashed to your phone. Use 7Zip to open the file and look around. It should be in there.
or just try this one out..
wifirouter.apk installation failure
wifirouter.apk fails to install via the normal means. After viewing the message stating that "wifirouter.apk was not installed" I found a few other places on the internet mentioning this app. One of these places suggested copying the wifirouter.apk directly to /system/app/ and setting the permissions correctly (-rw-r--r--). I have placed this wifirouter.apk file in /system/app/ via root explorer, verified permissions, and rebooted my phone but the app is still not visible. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm attempting to do this on an HTC incredible 2.
Thanks.
