[SURVEY] Smartphone survey - Off-topic

Hello XDA forum members, I am a student from the University of Minnesota - Duluth. I have a marketing research course that I am currently taking. I have a survey that I would like you as forum members to complete. If this is not the right place to post in the forum, or is against the forum rules or any kind, please feel free to delete this post (moderator). Here is the link, and I hope you will include some great input. Thank you XDA.

Thanks a lot you two, I appreciate this very much.

Completed.

Also completed.

Ok I did the survey now where's my dollar? No dollar? Ok I'll settle for a cookie. No cookie either? Fine I guess I'll just have to be content knowing I provided valuable data for a college class research project.

done... i think i took less time in that survery then i did to vote lol

Your survey has age groupings of 25-40 and 40-55. Considering I am 40, I picked the 25-40 group
Completed as well.

Community Research

Dear XDA-Developers members,
I'm reading and (a very bit) posting here now for some time.
I live in Holland and study at the university of Utrecht.
At the university we are researching online communities at the moment.
We created a question-list to question alot of members of different online communities. I'm interested how people think in this community about this community, so I want to ask you all to fill in a few easy questions on the link below:
http://mit.cambridgelaan.nl/index.php?id=Y3m8T2s3Q9f4&lang=en
I hope the link works and that alot of people answer the questions. If at least 10 people fill in this list, then I will publish some results here later.
Hoping to get some feedback,
thanks in advance,
Fraggar!

Online Habits?

Greetings everyone,
I am a Psychology PhD student at Nottingham Trent University (Nottingham, United Kingdom) and I wonder if you could give me a hand with my research by taking part in my surve. It is a brief survey on Internet use and habits and has around 10 very short questions, it will not take you more than 4-5 minutes to help me out.
Please feel free to help me, it is a personal and independent project I am doing.
Here is the survey's address: Link removed
I appreciate your help,
Mod edit: Your first post is asking people to fill in a survey for you? That's not how online communities work.

Survey regarding motivation factors in open source programming

Hey guys!
My name is Tobias Gawrisch and I'm a student of social science / sociology at Ruhr-University Bochum in Germany. I'm now starting with my master thesis and for that I want to do some research about what motivates programmers to work on open source software and other free software projects. Most people studying economics will say that money is the driving motivator in our economy but I think that especially the open source community is a fine example of people being motivated to work without the prospect of earning a lot of money with their work. This hypothesis is the basis for a short Web Survey in order to get some first hand data about the reason why programmers are "working for free". It will take about 10 min. max. and is, of course, completely anonymous. And I'll be glad to provide all my outcomes afterwards.
I would really appreciate your help in this matter, this would boost my master thesis a lot!
Here is the link to the survey: www (dot) soscisurvey (dot) de (slash) codesharingmotivation (I'm sorry but as a new user I'm apparently not allowed to post links. This post has permission from the Administrators, so maybe a moderator could alter this link to be clickable?)
This is an open survey, so please feel free to share it with everyone you see fit. I need as many participants as possible to get valid data.
I took the liberty to ask up front if it would be OK to post such a survey in this forum and received permission for that after using the contact form from the Administrators. This is a solely academic survey.
Regards,
Tobias Gawrisch
Just wanted to have a short shout out to everyone, half of the time for my survey has passed and I really need more participants, so please take part in this survey and pass it on to everyone you see fit! You would really help me out!
Regards,
Tobias

Mafia - The forum game

This will be my first post here in the OT section so let me make it a good one.
This is a forum game. This means anyone can join, well not really anyone since there will be a limit of 10 contestants per session of Mafia. To sign-up, you simply need to reply to this thread saying that you want to join.
There will be 4 roles: The nurse, the detective, the townspeople and the mafia. I will be the one who will decide on the roles of each participant.
The nurse has the power to heal or to revive someone they might think is dead or will be dead. The nurse can revive his or herself.
The detective will make a guess on which of the participants is a member of the mafia and then I will tell them whether they're right or wrong.
The townspeople will be a group of people that may be 3-4 people. I ask one member of the townspeople who they think should be hanged because that person is a member of the mafia. I will tell them the detective's guess but I will not tell them wheter the detective's guess is right or wrong.
The mafia is a group that consists of 3-4 members. The mafia will get to know who the other members of the mafia are. They will then decide on who to kill among the rest of the participants.
All converstaions between me and the participants will be done through PM so that the game will have a sense of suspense.

Peer Review!

Okay before anything else, not sure if this is permitted by the forum rules, so let me mention the mods, @dottat, @Sloth, @Stephen, @SynisterWolf and apologize to you guys in advance if Im breaking the rules here. Please delete this thread if this is not allowed, but bear no malice towards me for it was unintentional
I'm one of the top 60 selected out of 15,282 applicants to conduct a peer review of the OnePlus 3. I have been active here on the Samsung forums, and you can see my posts/contributions thru my profile. If you are willing and able to, I would very much appreciate your vote for my essay on the OnePlus Lab page. The 30 with the most votes will get a chance to conduct an early review of the phone at launch.
My plan for the review is to focus on experiences because the usual technical benchmarks and such will follow immediately anyway. If you have any specific requests or ideas that you would like me to take up IF I get a phone for review, please let me know here. Thanks in advance to anybody who votes for me and shares my essay on their social networks. And once again, apologies to the mods if I broke the rules!
