[Q] restore system app - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I backed up the 1.6.21 JPO YouTube app with titanium backup. Then uninstalled it.
Looks like titanium backup doesn't backup the apk.
Can someone up the apk and help me get it back without re-flashing.
Thanks

So you tried to restore it using titanium and failed? Weird.
Can't you just get it again from the market?

The market version seems different. Looks like the samsung one uses the samsung video player

Another question for you.

I backed up my stock messaging app with titanium. How do I restore it? Or is there somewhere I can download it?

If you did a backup why would it disappear D: ?
Go on Titanium Backup and look for it there.. click on it and restore..

Newby Questions

Where can I get Nandroid? I searched the Market and can't find any backup app called Nandroid.
Also, what does deodexed and zipalligned mean?
OK bud, 1st. You can do a nandroid backup from clockworkmod. Do you have stock recovery? Is your phone rooted? You can also do a backup with titanium backup but that's a bit different.
Most important here is cement. Gotta have rootfirst then gotta have cmw.

[Q] Dead Trigger & Asphalt 6 save file.

Can anyone help me point out where is the save file for Dead Trigger and Asphalt 6? I think I want to flash CM9, but don't want to lose my progress.
If your device is rooted than use titanium backup to backup your apps

Only restore apps and data. Restoring system data can mess you up. There are some system data, the ones with the titanium icons, that work ok. They are messaging, wireless, etc. Have Google back up and restore your phone and contacts.

I'm running vincom's superlite, superfast right now. I like his roms. But it's a personal preference.
Edit: oops, forgot which forum I was in. I'm running it on my phone. Don't try it on your device. My bad

Is titanium backup fixer needed anymore?

I'm moving to safestrap and was wondering if I still need to apply the tb fixer after restoring apps?

I didn't use the fixer the last few times I restored things with Titanium and everything seems to be fine.
