After much google searching, and searching here on XDA, I'm at a loss. I have the Allshare.apk and .odex, however I have had no luck installing them. I've tried various suggesions, including pushing them from adb shell, and nothing seems to work.
I would love to continue using custom roms, but not having Allshare is a big reason for me to just use rooted stock. The rom I'm trying to install it on is Cognition Beta (Froyo).
Titanium Backup also doesn't work for this. It tells me that it backed up Allshare, but when I try to install it, the restore button doesn't even show up.
Also, a quick question for Rom Manager. With the rom backup feature, can you only restore a backup for the rom you are using? (i.e if you want to restore a backup for another rom, you have to flash the rom first, then restore?)
Although posted in the wrong forum... I'd also like an answer to this. Running CDE and would really like to have AllShare to stream movies off my media server.

Not sure why this would be the wrong forum. I'm using a Captivate, and trying to install Allshare on a Captivate rom.
use root explorer and add them to System/app and paste both files there.
reboot your device, and voila

Still at square one. Altho the .apk and .odex are now in system/apps, it didn't affect anything. Also, looked up root explorer, and how to use it, then downloaded it. It won't remount my main file system as read only...so it's permanently in r/w now.
Also tried flashing to killer23d's rom, to use titanium backup on the allshare he has in his rom, still wouldn't work.
So....clueless at this point.

At one point, I had this same problem, and the only solution there is, is to reflash the rom. It's a PITA, I know. And don't worry about what your filesystem is mounted as in Root Explorer. After every reboot it reverts to read only again.

Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be my case. Even after reflashing Cognition, my file system is still R/W. Didn't even have to hit the white button on root explorer to paste files into system/app.
Also, adding dlna.apk and dlna.odex into system/app still isn't giving me Allshare.
Edit: Well, I've found a better solution. I'm gonna go with Killer23d's rom...looks alot more like stock Froyo, is based on the I9000, has Allshare, AND Mobile AP. Both features that I wanted.
Thanks for trying guys. If anyone does come up with a solution tho, please feel free to use this thread, as searching for allshare.apk on google results in this thread being either the 2nd or 3rd search result (can't remember).
Works for me.
I just put AllShare back in, using the attached file, and it's working fine.
I'm running Cognition 2.2 Beta 9.1.3 and put the file into "system\app" using Root Explorer.
I also changed the permissions of the file and selected just the following:
USER = READ + WRITE
GROUP = READ
OTHERS = READ
Remove any other checked permissions.
In case you don't know how to get into the permissions, just long-press the file, from within Root Explorer, and choose "Permissions" from the list that pops up.
Don't forget to reboot right after.
Your issue is most likely because you are trying to reintegrate an odex'ed AllShare while you are using a de-odex'ed ROM. Ozone777's file looks to be about the correct size for a de-odex'ed AllShare. Just move it into the /system/app folder with root explorer as mentioned above and you should be good to go.
I used terminal to drop the APK attached in the previous post into /system/app and it works beautifully. CogYo 2.2.9

I have searched a lot, spent time trying to figure everything out.
I have Hero that I am trying to make BA for my little bro. I have the evo now. Rooted and tethering. Not much else I need to mess with on it. Fast enough for me. But my old hero is now rooted and has the app to tether. I can't figure out how the heck to over clock it. It is slow and I want to kick it up a couple notches for him.
I have searched and all the codes that you guys use at the top throw the searches off, or maybe I am searching for the wrong thing.
Any links to other threads would be great. That way when someone else searches just over clocking like I did it will come to this thread and then link to the useful threads.
Thanks in advanced.
I see you are rooted already, is the phone running a stock rom? If so think about installing [ROM] cyanogenMod 6.1 stable (<<<<search). Then you flash a [Kernel] [GPL] DecaFuct [2.6.29.6] (<<<<search) and install a app called OverClock Widget, it is easier to use than the other one you can use called SetCPU. Thats pretty much it, somebody may chime in that can put a few links up but I am on my phone right now so I cant.

Okay, so I need to back up my phone? Can I use the app on the android market MyBackup by Rerwarre, LLC? Then I need to download the files you linked me to in this thread? And then what?
Okay. I am sure you are all tired of hearing from me. But I am going to flash a ROM that has a over clock on it. I have a question tho. When I download the files. It unzips them. By that I mean I can open the folder and explore all of the files. Does this make it impossible to load that ROM? Thanks for your quick responses in advanced.
You dont want the file unzipped. Leave it zipped and put it on the root of SD card, that means just on the SD card, not in another file. Then reboot into recovery by powering phone off, then hold down the power button and the home button at the same time, keep them down until recovery comes on. If a white page comes up instead of recovery that says clear storage, pull battery and try again. Once in recovery you should see a few options. Nandroid, select this by clicking track ball while highlighted, this will back up your current system. After that choose install zip from SD card, then select the rom you loaded on SD card. After is says done, choose reboot system now. Then find Gapps 12-18-2010, I think those are the latest ones. Put them on root of SD like you did the rom and reboot into recovery the same way, choose the install zip from SD and select the Gapp file. Then reboot system amd you will set phone up with google like you did when it was new. You can then install one of the kernels linked for you, I recommend the 768 one, download OverClock Widget from the market and set it to 748, if your phone reboots for no reason lower that to 729, 710, wherever it becomes stable for you.
Okay, I did nandroid, I cleared everything, and I loaded the zip'd file ( I was trying to say earlier it is my mac's default action to un zip the file when it downloads. So I re compressed it. This might be attributing to my later problems) ANd then I rebooted. And it looks and behaves exactly the same as before.
Any pointers or ideas why it did this?

Since you re compressed it, it may need to be resigned before flashing. I could be wrong though
What does resigned mean?
ANybody have any idea why my ROMS arent loading at all?
Not quite sure if this will work on mac, you may need to find a XP pc to do this from. Here is a link to a zip signer though, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=805766&highlight=zip+signer
Another thought...
Can you download the rom using the phone, then move file from download folder to root of SD card, using a file manager such as Astro or even better E Strongs File Explorer? I have read where some members have rooted, installed roms, kernels, theme, with no PC at all.
awesome idea on doing it from my phone. I didn't know it was a Mac problem. I can just run boot camp and boot up my mac with windows OS and try it on that. Thanks again.
Okay, i am trying to do it all from the phone. But the file is too large for the phones memory. And I can't figure out how to download righto the SD card. Any pointers here?

use the xda app and navigate to the thread that has the rom you want to install. from there click the link of the rom and it will go to SD card in a file called downloads. after completed plug phone into PC/mac and move that file/rom to root of SD card. Then reboot recovery and flash, done. There are literally 100+ threads on installing a rom, search, read, learn. What recovery do you have installed?
Okay downloading it to my Windows 7 bootcamp worked like a charm. I did the red dawn ROM. Isn't that one already over clocked?

Issue 1: I'm trying to install ClockPackage.apk, Gallery3D.apk, MyFiles.apk in order to have the stock clock. I keep getting the error "Failure [INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES]" when i try to use the command adb install (any of the 3).apk. I have also tried "adb push" which doesn't seem like a valid command. I tried moving the 3 apk files to my sd card on the phone and using "installer" and "eoeAppinstaller" from the market and these fail as well. Any more suggestions? I really like this di11igaf's ROM, but I cannot stand the new alarm ( i like the gradual volume increase of the stock). I have tried a couple of market clocks, but they just didn't work for me. Thank you very much in advance.
Issue 2: If I use CWM and choose Reboot into Recovery i get the following:
Android system recovery <3e>

Enter OK Key, Select : Vol UP / Vol Down
reboot system now
apply sdcard:update.zip

At this point I can use the volume buttons to scroll up and down, but the power button will not select anything. The only thing I can do is remove the battery and boot the phone back up, which then takes me into CWM recovery v2.5.1.0. I was able to install the di11i add on, but I don't think that I'm supposed to be pulling the battery to get to this point.
Thanks again and sorry about the long post.
Im no expert on this type of stuff but I use di11i roms and I just transfer apk's to the root of the phone through the regular mass storage mode and use root explorer for the rest.Havent had any problems yet.
As for issue 2 is the package a .zip file? If not that may or may not be the problem.
From my own personal experience the 3dapp isn't sign so I can't install it too
System apps are best copied manually into the /system/app folder using app like root explorer. Make sure the folder is in r/w mode.

It is a zip file and it installed. What concerned me was the process. Should it have frozen up like that and forced a battery pull? Nothing I've read leads me to believe that was proper behavior of the CWM.

I don't have that directory. Are you creating it on the phone and then putting the files into it? I may have not been clear on what I am trying to do. I am trying to do what was posted in this forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=11207089&highlight=clockpackage#post11207089 posts #2515
I just looked into exactly what you were talking about and I got it figured out.It wasnt installing for me either but this is what I did and it works now.
Through mass storage mode I copied the 3 files to the root of the card.
Then I moved the files to the app folder which is inside the system folder.
I use root explorer for the moving.
When you move them into the app folder its gonna ask to overwrite say yes.
After you get everything moved it will work if you go to the app in the drawer.I never actually installed anything but did an overwrite.

u cannot see it in my files. u need to have root access, and something like root explorer.
So it looks like I could have just copied and pasted the files from the sdcard/Clock folder I placed them in to the /system/app folder using Super Manager. I swear I tried that and it failed before I went through all the crappy steps below. Oh well.
Ok this is going to sound pretty cheap, but I didn't want to pay the ~$4.02 for an ap that I was going to use three times. I did find another way. I used Super Manager and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877316&highlight=installing+apk post #3.
So for any other cheapskates out there.
1. Install Super Manager on phone
2. Install ADB on pc
3. Connect phone to pc and copy the three files ClockPackage.apk, Gallery3D.apk, and MyFiles.apk to the sd card. (I just drag and dropped in windows explorer)
4. Use Super Manager to move to /system/app/ and rename the existing file Gallery3D.apk (I renamed it to Gallery3D.old)
5. Use adb to copy the 3 files from the directory in which you originally placed them on the phone to /system/app/
in adb type:
adb shell
su
(accept the prompt on your screen)
cd /sdcard/whereveryoustuckfile
cp blahblahblah.apk /system/app/ (the red from Pirateghost).
6. Reboot
The clock and alarm work fine, but I cannot get Daily briefing option in alarm to work. I get a FC. I did install the "apk add on pack for 5.6" post 3 of http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=897416 , but I dont think Daily Briefing was included in that. Any suggestions? And one last thing - what is the di11iBrowserfix.zip from post 3 of the thread above for? Thanks again to all who contributed.
I got the daily briefing working. Everything is almost perfect, but I would like two things still.
1. Is there anyway to change the tune that is played when you have smart alarm selected? I have a different tone selected, but I think once you select smart alarm it defaults to that new age tone.
2. My alarm goes off, I stop it, but then I have to unlock it before I see the daily briefing. Can anyone think of a way to have the phone unlock when I turn off the alarm. I know it is so insignificant, but it used to do that when it was stock and it was pretty cool.
Come one guys and gals - don't make me figure this one out by myself j/k but seriously I have surprised myself already by getting this far and I really don't have skill or knowledge for the last two things. I'm learning though....slowly.
Thread etiquette
Did I do something wrong here? I got some really quick responses to my questions before, but nothing on my latest. I ask this next question with all seriousness - should I have started a new thread since it's kind of a new topic? No worries either way, I just want to post in the the most effective way. Thanks. BTW, my phone is working great. I'm getting ready to install 6.0 GPS is a little screwy - often has me west of my location by about 30 meters by I attribute that to the phones hardware. Other than that I have no complaints (except for the lame smart alarm tune)

Nope. Get the CWM flashable zip, and copy to ur sdcard. Then go to CWM recovery console, and install this zip. Reboot.
But, please take a nandroid backup, and try to avoid OC kernels if u r unsure ur phone can handle it. Phones freeze when tried to oc beyond their capability.

Thanks for the info and sorry for appending to this topic!
Let me apologize first of all as I come from 5 years of using Windows Mobile knwoing what I am doing (cooking ROMs included) and now just got my Galaxy /Android a couple weeks ago and am blank at all of it.
After messing up with some system files and (useless) stock applications (like I removed stk.apk and other stuff) I decided to do a full hardware reset as the phone started getting random crashes.
But after the full reset things only got dramatically worse. I quickly realized all the missing system apps are still missing (I thought they'd be "restored") and basically nothing works, just crashes one after the next, cant use anything.
So, a hardware system reset on the galaxy, doesnt really reset anything except user installed apps and settings... amazing
Can someone please tell me (the idiot here, I know) how to do a real full restore where all system files, all missing files and positively everything gets back in the Tab as it was originally?
What a flippin' nightmare... Thanks in advance very much!
deletion of Stk.apk causes FC's in phone and acore.
if you don't have a backup of this apk, download a rom (like Modaco or Overcome),
open with winzip and extract the Stk.zpk from system/app and push it to /system/app on your Tab using adb (remember set the permissions to 644 after push).
A hardreset NO restores deletions on /system
Note: Other files that are not deleteable in /system/app are: Browser.apk, Email.apk, TouchWiz30Launcher.apk and TwWallpaperChooser.apk
Note (2): For your convenience, i attach the Stk.apk file from Overcome-1.1.3. Try it
Note (3): In order to restore ALL system data and apps, you need to restore a full rom.

OK, first of all a big thanks for both file and info. Aside from the Stk.apk, the biggest thing that made me run into problems was trying to update my Contacts.apk:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=907399
things didnt work out for me and even after restoring the original files (Contacts.apk and Contacts.odex) nothing really worked again, reason for wich I tried a system reset.
Now, do I need to re-root the Tab or its still rooted, and can I perform the operations easily with Root Explorer like I did before? You mentioned to use adb and set permissions to 644 after push but, sorry again for the ignorance, I have no clue what adb is nor what/how to set permissions. Pathetic to be ignorant huh?
My last 2 questions are, where could I find the original Contacts.apk and Contacts.odex and if needed a full ROM to do a total restore?... hopefully I wont need to get to that point?...
Thanks a million again.
hi,
try to download overcome-1.1.3, and extract all the deleted apk's from system/app directory. push into the /system/app in your tab.
the apk's of overcome are deodexed (you don't need the .odex files). after that, wipe your data/cache and reboot.
if this don't works, try with roto rom

Hmmmm thanks again but I think Im beyond all this. I dont have a file manager on my system, just realized I deleted the useless stock one and had repalced it with Root Explorer and ES File Explorer. I have them on my External SD Card to install them again but withou a file manager or an app installer cant get to them. And I tried download an app installer from the Market and get Framework errors non-stop and downloads do not initialize... I think Im beyond a quick fix... how do I get my hands on a stock full ROM to restore everything... and how? What a nightmare... gotta tell you, I love Windows Mobile... I love it... never ran into anything like this in the past 5 years of using it... never...
Thanks again!

Cant. Dont even know if I need Kies installed or not (I did have it installed) but adb just asks me to connect the phone and thats it... its connected aready... this is desperating...
OK I did manage to connect with adb but, how to I install applications? I can navigate to my SD card where I have ES File Explorer and Root Explorer but dont seem to be able to install them... Also if i try to copy Stk.apk I get immediately an failute message... this is crazy...
OK so I managed to install ES File Explorer and Root Explorer with adb... crazy process. It seems my phone is still rooted after the reset. From the phone I copied Stk.apk back to /system/apps where it was before deleted.
But needless to say nothing got fixed... not sure if Stk.apk is now "actually" installed or just there in the folder. But still nothing works and crashes every 10 seconds... logs provider, dialer, phone, framework, contacts... its all a firework of crashes...
Given that you've hard reset your device already, you are pretty much wasting your time trying to "fix" what you broke by messing with /system, and you should really just flash another ROM.
My suggestion would be to follow the advice on this thread.
Regards,
Dave
Yeap, that what i did and it was succesfull. My only issue is that Id like to convert my Tab's file system to ext4 to improve speed and performance and then update to the 1.4Ghz OC Kernel. I have no idea how to do those 2 things... actually Im not sure I understand the difference between a ROM and a Kernel... I assume a Kernel is part of the engine of the ROM itself but I have no idea how to perform the update. I read countless threads and its all scattered info without finding one straight to the point guide on how to do it...

Part of your problem is that you are trying to run before you can walk! Your experience with WinMo is of pretty much no use to you in the Linux/Android world, and until you get a better handle of how everything hands together you are always going to feel a little lost.
Personally, since your device is now up and running again, I'd suggest that you hold off doing anything else for while, until you get a chance to catch up with some of the basics. Once you are a little more familiar, you can then start with something simple like flashing the MoDaCo kernel (instructions here) to support EXT4, and to give you access to ClockworkMod recovery.
IMO, whilst EXT4 and O/C kernels will give you a performance boost, they are not as noticeable as jumping from a shipping ROM to one of the JMx development builds that Samsung has put out. If you are running JMI, you should already be feeling that the device has got much snappier.

Dave

Yes Dave you are right, right and right again!!! Thank you for the wisdom and advice!!!
The main thing I have understood with today's messy experience was that the actual ROM files are never deleted or damaged as long as you dont access them via a rooted tool and start deleting them. Now I understand that Titanium Backup, Sprint Backup (my favorite), My Backup Pro and others, only back-up and restore what the user installs on top of the ROM itself. So a full "reset" wipes all that data but leaves the ROM files as they always were. If they got damaged in the process, they'll still be damaged till a a full ROM restores all system data, now I get it.
What I still dont get is the issue of bakcing up and restoring. In Windows Mobile, a toll like SPB Backup has a simple option called FULL BACKUP and that backs-up everything on top of the ROM and then restores everything after a full reset on top of the ROM again like it was before. The problem I have with apps like Titanium Backup, Sprint Backup, My Backup Pro, etc... is that there is not a "BACKUP ALL" option... one has to backup "data", "settings", "apps" and I always feel stuff will be left behind and then not restored.
Till I find an app or way to do a simple one-click "backup everything" and then "restore evertything" I always feel vulnerable to changes I make to the Tab that may get it unstable or corrupt and then not being able to be restored properly without a full ROM Flash and then re-installing all from scratch.
With WinMo, I could do all sorts of crazy experiments and tweaking and after that, a registry restore or back-up restore would bring me back my phone to exactly like it was with all my stuff and configuration in a matter of seconds or minutes. Thats what I need to find out with this Tab/Android and then Im ready to be able to explore messing up with this knowing I can always easily go back within minutes to the state I had before with all my apps and settings.
This is what I need to learn next how to do! Trampoline without a safety net is not a good idea. Ive alwways loved WinMo for the ease of backing up and restoring whatever I was doing on my handsets withjout ever worrying to put myself at risk to loose it all. I need to learn this on Android and its definitely more intricate!
just put sdcard into your samsung tab and flash modaco kernel amd it will automatically covert to ext4, after that you can flash the 1.4ghz kernel you wanted.

Sorry, I cant follow you. I put an SD card in and flash modaco kernel? What files do I put on the sd card for this effect?...

no...you need a kernel to flash via odin, you need sdcard mounted so that it will backup all files automatically while converting to ext4..head over to modaco kernel section amd follow the instruction.

Where is the modaco kernel section you refer to? I can search for hours and find zilch... these blogs are endless...

What you want is a Nandroid backup, which you can only make from a recovery image like Clockworkmod recovery.
Essentially, this does exactly what you want, but you need to flash a new kernel (e.g. the MoDaCo kernel) which supports Clockwordmod.

i beg to differ about stk.apk fc's your phone. that's the first thing i delete when removing system apps with no fc's
refer to this link about having a bare bones system. stk.apk is for management of multiple sim cards

When I delete stk.apk (for me useless useless useless) the first thing that happens immediately is that when I hang-up on a call made or received, the Tab vibrates then freezes for about 5 seconds then tells me the phone application has crashed. I tried this with 2 ROMs now as a test and its guaranteed. More even, if you use a program like SYSTEM APP REMOVER you can emulate the removal of an app by disabling it... it only takes me to disable STK and a reboot for the phone not to work. cant get rid of it, that simple
I'm not sure on which phones this will work.
Motorola Milestone is for certain. Probably other Motorolas as well.
If you have the file /system/bin/mot_boot_mode, then this should work just fine.
Edit: Works on DroidX, Atrix, Bionic, Defy... (I guess it really does have a chance of working if you have mot_boot_mode
Do this at your own risk
What you need:
1. GScript Lite or Script Manager
2. Rooted Phone. For Milestoners, you can use Universal Androot (not in market ?)
3. Busybox Installer
You don't need to have a vulnerable recovery applied.
Why you want it: People on custom roms take it for granted that they can run custom scripts from the /system/etc/init.d folder.
Overclocking, tweaking memory settings, kernel tweaks, etc.
Those on Stock ROMS usually have to resort to 3rd party apps (eg. Milestone Overclock, Auto Memory Manager) that take up memory to do stuff that custom roms do automatically and easily - with boot up scripts.
It's possible for Stock ROMS to get this ability via open recovery but most users may find it overwhelming and confusing as to where to even start.
I have also been working on GScripts to get my SuperCharging / Bulletproof Launcher tweaks to work on all phones without need of 3rd party software.
I found that the easiest way would be with a startup script placed in the /system/etc/init.d - the same way that custom roms do it.
Since alot of users would be uncomfortable with getting it working via open recovery, I converted the open recovery script to work in GScript!
Booya!
Instructions: 1. Extract the attached zip file into the root of your sdcard. The files should then be inside the folder /sdcard/gscript
................... 2. Run GScript Lite
................... 3. Press menu > Add script > Load file button
................... 4. Select "!Autostarts - Enable init.d on Stock ROMS.sh"
................... 5. Leave "Needs SU?" checked and press the Save button.
................... 6. It now shows up in the list of GScripts.
................... Note: GScript will save it internally within it's settings.
................... 7. Run the script by simply selecting it in GScript... and...
................... 8. Get tweaking!
All thanks go to those who put Androidian OpenRecovery together! ie. Skrilax_CZ, Azhad and 89luca89!!
Good job, Joe. I'll test and let you know.
btw, the values that we discussed a few days back work better for me on stock. First 3 from your script and last 3 default values.
Cool beans

Hi, good evening.
Excellent work... But I cant see
gscript-All_ROMS-SuperCharge+BulletProof_Pack_v4.zip
It isnt a link.
Thanks. Best regards

Hey Zep, will these work on 2.1 eclair? I am running 2.1 for a change. Had enough of the half cooked Froyo and GB roms.
I'm not sure.
Did you flash a custom eclair or stock?
I'd love to get it to work with stock eclair though.
If you have a 10overclock, where is it?
Actually, a good test is if you were able to overclock with AOR's froyo menu after running this gscript

I am currently overclocked using milestone overclock app. There is no 10overclock file in /system/etc/init.d folder. I will try overclocking using AOR after loading modules.

In AOR, the eclair overclocking uses the /system/bin/boot_script folder as opposed to the usual /system/etc/init.d folder.
If I do a google search for "eclair /system/bin/boot_script" there aren't that many results.
If I do a google search for "eclair /system/etc/init.d" there are twice as many hits.
So this should work on stock eclair without vulnerability patch
Applying this to a rooted, stock 2.2.1 milestone makes the M logo bootloop... ive tried it twice. Followed the steps exactly..
And I think it may have bricked my phone :S Now it won't turn on anymore...
So buysbox is installed right?
I actually developed the script working with stock telus 2.2.1 so it works.
I had a problem flashing the sbf 2.2 upgrade and was stuck on the M logo.
From recovery menu, I had wiped caches/reset to factory defaults and it booted up.
What have you tried so far?

I can't do anything really. It won't turn on, not even into recovery. No M logo, the screen doesn't even light up, and when I try to charge, the charge light doesn't turn on, and it doesn't charge, and isn't recognized by my comp. Initially it went into a boot loop, but then I restored via nandroid, but then I tried again, and I left the phone for a couple mins, then when I got back, it was really warm and wouldn't turn on or charge. I have a feeling something burnt out. I'm gunna bring it to telus today and try and get a new one.
For charging it, use the wall charger.
Does anything happen if you take the battery out and plug it in?
Normally, you would get a big battery icon with a question mark.
Then put the battery in and it changes to whatever the battery level is.

I don't have my wall charger with me, but I've made some progress I think..
Now when I plug it into usb without the battery, the light goes on, and I can insert the battery without it shutting off. But it still won't turn on , and when I plug it in with the battery in it, the light doesn't come on. I've been trying that battery bypass thing, and my comp is definitely responding to it being plugged in, but only for a second or two.
If you don't have much battery left, you're not gonna get too far.
It'll just keep draining more n more.
Howabout a car charger to charge it in the meantime?

I brought it to telus. The battery is fine, theres juice. They tried charging it with a regular wall charger, but still no luck, so in it goes for repairs.
ah ok.
Hopefully it won't take too long to get it back

They said 2 months is the max, and I'm stuck with a stupid moto backflip.. gunna try and switch it out tho.. btw, your scripts worked awesome in openrecovery when I was using cm7. That bulletproof launcher was perfect
heh.. thanks
So if you had openrecovery going with vulnerable recovery, why did you use the gscript method?
Just curious, it's the same thing really.
But with openrecovery available you would have more options for trying to get it going again.

I tried that actually, but the overclocks didn't work, and neither did the bulletproof launcher. They worked on custom roms, but not stock.
I see.
In aor's froyo menu there is the enable autostarts which does the exact same as this gscript since I merely copied it lol.
The only advantage of the gscript is that you don't need vr patched and no aor.
Of course both would then allow the overclocking and other stuff on stock roms.
