I've got the HTC HD at the moment, and the camera quality is ok, but only if you can hold the thing 100% still for the whole 3 seconds while pushing and holding a button.
Would love to see some examples of the HD7

Hello,
I got my device two days ago and all seems to work well. However, the hardware button that launches the camera application does not seem to respond when I click on it. Is anyone else experiencing this too? Is tyour camera application launching fine when you click on the camera hardware button found on the side of the device?
Thanks,
Gilbert
Half press or Full press...
The Camera has a setting that turns it on with either a Half press or a Full press of the side button.
It defaults to FULL so if you're at the Today Screen for example, Press it and then press it in MORE. That's the FULL Press.
Once you're in the camera, you can change the setting to turn it on with a HALF press of the button.

That is a lovely feature, How many times I take my Hermes out of the puch when I get a phone call and find that teh camera is on...
then, does the camera button of the kaiser work the same way as a shutter button in a photo camera?.... half press for focus, then it's focused, you can move the subject.... then full press for making photo?
Yes, that's exactly how it works. There is a rectangle in the middle of the screen that turns green when the image is in focus. After that rectangle turns green, push the camera button down further to take the picture! Great feature as long as you have a VERY steady hand, otherwise your picture will turn out blurry.
Hello guys,
I dont know if this bypass is somewhere else on the forum, but i found this bypass for our laggy/slow camera:
1 Turn on the camera of your kaiser
2 Now it will be laggy and slow... (sigh.. driver)
3 Now pres the power button 1 time (screen goes black)
4 Wait 5-10 seconds, and press the power button again.
5 Fast camera!!
Greets,
Anouar
Thanks for your attempt to be helpful, but this has been posted numerous times. Wish the camera could be fixed for good, but yes, this helps sometimes although it can also darken the picture quality.
Hi, I have a TyTn 2 and the power button has been not working properly for a while, it seems to get stuck inside when I push it in. I noticed that in the Power Management on the phone you can have it so the phone turns off after 1 minute.
I was wondering if there was any programs that would be able to make it so the phone turns off after say 30 seconds, or maybe even if there is a way to turn off 10 seconds after locking, or something.
Thanks!
what rom are you using and what lockscreen?
Erm...The Laurentius 26 Diamond One, link here:

im not the smartest bear in the woods when it comes to this stuff unfortunately, I only used it cause I hated the stupid Orange bar on the side, and I'm surprised my phone still works xD

this is a really good program, and solves 1 part of my phones problem, but with this, you still have to press the power button to when unlocking, locking is perfect cause it just has like a 10 second timeout.
alternatively I could try taking my kaiser apart and fixing the power button that way.
and after you put it back together you start kicking yourself cuz u had static somewhere and destroyed your phone.
good luck
advice: only time to take apart your phone is as a last measure for a fatal problem
It's not a big issue to take your device appart for repair. I did it my self to replace my LCD. Took me half an our with the video tutorial which i found. I uploaded the video a while ago @ youtube for those who need it at some point. Maybe first you could check if your housing is in proper place. My spare kaiser had allmost the same problem with the power button. After pressing the housing strongly it it flipt at the proper place and solved my problem.
Good luck.
Hello all,
I got my phone when they first came out on Jan 5th and have just ran into my first issue. It seems that the power button has become really hard to press (like it is lower than it used to be). I have to press down just right to get it to register. I know that others have been having power button issues and was wondering if anyone has ran into this? Any suggestions on actions to take? What were others peoples power button issues?
Thanks
Yea, I started to use No lock from the market its free. With this program you can use the trackball to unlock you phone or bring it from sleep mode you will not have to use the power button as often.
Hope this helps
Is your button hard to press or just not registering?
Sometimes I would have to push it more then once. So I don't believe its really hard to push but, more so just not registering all the time.
It's not to often I had that problem. but, I did notice you have to use the button alot so I didn't want to wear it down.
Mine used to be like that and then eventually it became extremely hard to press. Practically took 10-15 tries using force to get it to turn on. I sent it back to HTC and now it's more responsive than when I first got it. Took about 4 days total.
Leo Laport's nexus's power button broke. Just send it back.
It could be just dust under the power button. I just took off the back cover and blew at the space under the power button. It's working every time now. Worth a shot before you send it in anways.
I have the same issue, hard to press and sometimes not registering at all.
Unfortunately trackball wake is not available for froyo yet. This would be a fine workaround for me.
I was having problems with the power button not working well, but it seems to be much better under the new FRF72 Froyo build.

+1 on the excellent suggestion.
The rear battery cover is integral to the power button assembly. It keeps it aligned on the fore aft axis. So dust and crap therein seems to restrict it at times. If you have power button issues, at very least remove the battery cover to see if releasing the friction it creates improves things. The power button becomes somewhat wobbly and loose with the rear cover off.
Hello everyone.
I think it's since the update to Froyo, that the video player is 'improved', with the back key being on screen since then. This is kinda bugging me, cuz every time I wanna exit a video, my first response is hit the back button, and only after pressing it 3 or 4 times realising that this doesn't work anymore. It surprises me that I've couldn't find an earlier thread concerning this, seeing the the low irritation threshold of some XDA users (yeah, me being one of em ).
Anyone any thoughts, maybe an altered video app somewhere? (no, not a replacement, an altered version of the original I mean )
It's bugging at first but, it saves me from pressing the back button accidently during playback and having to restart the video and locate where I was in the movie.
I like the new system of pressing the on-screen 'back' button instead of the phone's softkey.
There were many occasions where I would accidently touch that area while holding the phone (easy to do on public transport etc) and then go through the hassle of re-loading the movie. Before I would press the screen lock key to deactivate everything and prevent this, but now with the newer version of the video player I don't need to.
Yeah, you both got a point there.
Also, with my previous phone, the i8910 (Omnia HD), locking the screen during playback would simply lock the screen, and the lock icon would fade after a couple of seconds, instead of the Galaxy, where it's staying the whole time. =.=
Anyways, way of topic, thanks for your opinion.
