Hello, moments ago I tried to install an app which I assume was designed for windows mobile 2003, I think it was a bit of a stupid idea..
Anyways, it looked like the install shell (within the ppc itself, because I executed a .CAB file) hung.. so I did a soft reset..
Well, the conclusion is, my Himalaya hangs at bootup now.. is there anything I could do to make it boot again?
thanks
himalaya finally boots
lol no problem
I fixed it.. woahh!! that was worrying..
For future reference however, I did the following method:
Reinstalled the OS, with the origional TofClock install files, once that made no difference, I did some more browsing of this site and did this again:
----------------------------------------------------------------
3. Hard reset your pda.
Press ResetButton and hold down CameraButton + RecordButton.
Hold them pressed until the "Boot Options" menu appears on the screen.
Select the options as follows:
(for selecting use RecordButton, change values with CameraButton)
Enable KITL -> NO
Clean Registry Hive -> YES
Format Storage -> YES
When done, press DPad and wait until OS starts
(taken from one of the tutorials that came with the TofClock install manual' I've seen it posted by a user named helmi_c)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
But anyways I'm glad that's over, now I only know one contact but I'll live..
i would have replied but my internet was down...the procedure u followed (by helmi) should have been ur priority...any way glad that ur problem is solved..

I had to do a hardware reset on my tytnII and now it is stuck in the green windows 61 screen telling me
"
The device is clearing the storage please wait", turning off the device after a couple of minutes. Tried the procedure several times, incl. Removing the battery, but no success.
Any solutions would be appreciated!

You can also perform a hard reset (also known as a full reset). A hard reset should be performed only if a normal reset does not solve a system problem. After a hard reset, the device is restored to its default settings - the way it was when you first purchased it and turned it on. Any programs you installed, data you entered, and settings you customized on your device will be lost. Only Windows MobileĀ® software and other pre-installed programs will remain.
Important If Encrypt files placed on storage cards is or was enabled before, then backup all files from the storage card before using Clear Storage, hard reset or updating the ROM system software. Otherwise you will no longer be able to access the encrypted files on the storage card. Use ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center to transfer files between your storage card and computer. After the procedure, copy your files back to the storage card.
To perform a hard reset using device keys
1. Press and hold the left SOFT KEY and the right SOFT KEY, and at the same time, use the stylus to press the RESET button at the bottom of your device.
2. Release the stylus, but continue pressing the two SOFT KEYs until you see the following message on the screen:
3. Release the two SOFT KEYs, and then press green button (phone icon )the HTC Kaiser TyTN II P4550 Hard reset Soft reset Hardreset Softreset button on your device.
Warning! Your device will be set back to factory default settings. Please ensure any additional installed programs and/or user data have been backed up before a hard reset is performed. then reFlash with official ROM for kaiser
Thx for the hint, but that is what i did do exactly (= hardware reset !!!), that is after what i did get stuck in the green wndows 61 screen
Have you flashed any hard SPL?
You could try to reflash your stock Windows Mobile ROM by entering bootloader first
1. Find a stock WM rom from htc website
2. Enter bootlader by pressing power + camera + reset button, you will see a tri color screen with "serial" text on the white colored area
3. Connect your usb cable, the "serial" text will be changed into "usb"
4. Finally flash your device, execute the stock rom file that you've found before

Hello there, am I ****ed? Here's what happened today:
>Rooted LG revolution froze and crashed with a black screen, even after rebooting with taking the battery out.
>I'll just hard reset my phone.. nbd
>Hard reset phone
>Realized that it's still rooted, ****yea.jpg
>Go on an app deleting frenzy, accidentally deleted an app (sms.apk maybe?)
>Tried to press home and it doesn't work so I restart my phone and it boots normally until I unlock it. (The network bar is still visible but I can't access the home screen)
>Panic, then find this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1337386 and complete every step but the phone doesn't show up on LGNPST. (I can't access the connectivity options, but it's usb debugged since the sd card and system folders show up on autorun)
What can I do? Is my phone salvageable? Or will I have to go to Verizon to fix my mess?
Thanks in advance!
If running Windows 7 try disabling UAC then re install the .dll file during the LGNPST setup.
I tried win 7 for a few days and couldn't get it to work. But my XP laptop worked fine. Try XP especially if win 7 is 64 bit.
--My REVO is Broken, tweaked, SC'd, and TB'd. Just awesome!
should be fairly simple
do u have cwm? and a back up? then load the system from a good backup, or load one... if no cwm then maybe the stock recovery will do it?
keep me informed and ill do what i can and search the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1564941
As a last resort you can allways pull the battery, then put it back in, then with the phone still off press power and down and hold untill you get option to factory reset, hit power for yes then reflash the .Tot you want and start over rooting.

UAC has nothing to do with any issues.. type in start menu > search > type in "cmd" or "regedit" and right click and choose "run as administrator" then shouldn't have any issues registering the .dll
