Hello, since some weeks, i can't install some apps from the market like angry bird and other. I don't know why but there are some don't have any problem and other i get an error.
I use the last cronos for the moment, but the problem was present before ths rom, like the froyomod etc..
I did a full wipe cache etc...before and after changing rom.
Hope that will change thanks to you

I've installed the newest 2.2.1 GOT, and I've tried allmost all the rom's in this forum. I'm constantly faced with an issue with Titanium Backup freezing. My next step was to just install the apps all over again from the market... however, now I'm faced with some apps downloading but cannot install. i.e Angry birds, Time Mobile to name a few.
Obviously this cannot be an issue with all roms, but perhaps my phone or a botched installation... but how can it be a botched installation for ALL roms?
Can anyone provide me with some suggestions where I can solve this issue?
I'm currently using a Telus Milestone with Cyanogenmod.
Hey there, I would advise you to flash the 2.2.1 SBF once again using RSD Lite and then try, dont use the Stock 2.2.1 GOT ROM it hogs battery.... I am using Cronos 1.5.0 and it works lyk a charm......
Problem with titanium bakcup is, it also recovers data i think. You need to restore only APK if you change from different ROM. I use Google backup option, that reinstalls all apps when i log in, simple.. But you could also use MyBackupPro.
For example SMS restore with titanium backup worked fine with 2.2.1 - 2.2.1 changes in ROM, but when i cahnged to 2.1 it couse FC all the time...
Again MyBackupPro saved me, it has a backup tehnique, that is not dependant on version of SMS application.
Until yesterday, i was running cm7 on my captivate.
Today i switched to darky 9.5.
Before I flashed darky I did a backup of all user apps+data.
After I got darky i restored missing apps+data.
Everything was fine until I realized that all my games would just force close right when I open it...
I tried to solve it by uninstalling, downloading again then restoring data only but it still force close.. I also tried reflashing...
My games do work if I just restore the app. And all my other apps are fine.
Anyone know what the problem is?
You created your backups on a Gingerbread-based ROM and restored them on a Froyo-based ROM. The saved data is probably not compatible even though the program is.
That explains it thanks.. Anyway I played so much game today to catch up.....

I've had FroyoPro ROM in my X8 since today. It works really good, but it has one problem: When I try to install any app that doesn't come from the Android Market (That means, from my SD card), the software freezes, crashes and reboots. I have checked the permission to install apps that doesn't come from the Market and the same apps were installed without problem in the 2.1 Stock Android Version. Can anyone help me?
am using it too i dnt hav such issues,
try doing a full wipe/factory reset from xrecovery and install again, see if the problem persists
Hello. I've got mu SGS for about an year. I recently installed an ICSSGS ROM on it and I enjoy it but it's kind of sluggish. Also a "low space remaining" notification appears and I don't know how to get rid of it.
I want to ask you how I can clear the internal 6 GB on my phone and make it run smoother(can I just delete everything or are there some system files?), how I can install the Semaphore kernel and a good ICS ROM for a smooth experience and some games.
Thanks in advance!

I think you would just go to Settings - Backup & reset, select Factory data reset.
This will put your phone back into the "brand new" state when it first came out of the factory.
You'll lose all your apps, data and custom settings that you've been using.
Best thing to do now is to flash a new ICS like Slim Ics, Dark knight 5.5 or TWICS (i've tried these and they are very good roms). You can download one of these rom into .zip archive, put it into your device and flash via recovery. After that, you can flash a kernel of your choice in the same way (if it is in .zip format) or through Odin if it is in .Tar format
Factory reset means wiping all data and apps except system apps and data.that will clean your phone from all apps u installed after flashing the last rom(of cause u wipe everything when installing a new rom) this will get rid of any lag or sluggishness u are experiencing.
But first try wipe cache and dalvik in cwm.
Next download "easy cache cleaner" from play store and clean your cache.this normally solves the problem
Ps. I know the adds are annoying, but it's one of best free cleaners. To get rid of the adds download "droidwall" and check the apps that need internet/data connection and apply.it's like a firewall only the apps u allow permission have internet/data connection
I have rooted my SGS today and installed speedmod kernel, on it i have froyo 2.2. and since the kernel flash my games act like they are run the first time every time i run them. What might be the problem?
Sorry if there already is a post like this i could not find it.
Anyone know, please help me. Thank you
AW: [Q] Apps act like they are run the first time
Hello,
what is 'act like the first time'? Nobody here knows what games you play and how they behave. A big mor info would go a long way!
And as a shot in the dark:
Reboot into recovery,
1. wipe dalvik cache AND
2. wipe cache (two different things),
3. fix permission and
4.restart the phone.
It should need some time to rebuild the dalvik cache though. So be patient.
Then try to start your games. If they still behave wierd then come back here with a bit more details.
I have fixed my problem by flashing another rom hehe
But here is what was happening, everytime i opened, let's say, temple run it gave me instructions like it was run the first time and in some other games it would not remember settings and progress from the last time i ran them, i tried fixing permissions and wiping dalvik cache but nothing worked.
I fixed mine problem but give some advice maybe someone else will have this problem.
Possibly a reflash would have helped, but why would anyone use Froyo 2.2 in 2013?
