I've kind of messed up my phone ... Used Odin to reinstall firmware and that's working now. But it doesn't have the right languages?
Is there some list of which firmware is for which device/region? Or does anyone know the Firmware for the i9000 8Gb, Dutch-Belgium (not the Proximus branded)version?

Hi, what is the latest firmware for GT-I9000 now ? because when I connect my phone with Kies ( Kies version I am using is 1.5.3.10093_82 ), it says
my current version: PDA:JF4 / PHONE:JF4 / CSC:OLB
This device's version cannot be updated.
So this is the newest firmware for now ? since i am new with Smartphone.

The Latest for Asian is from Hong Kong(I9000ZSJPD), if you want update using kies, you need perform registry hack make your kies think that you are from Hong Kong(I suppose). However, i cant get HIDSWVER from Hong Kong so not able to update thru Kies too.
I read some thread said lagfix need to remove so that kies able to update it.
I think the latest firmware for Malaysia is I9000DXJPA. This is Froyo 2.2. You need to download the latest Kies version in order to see it in the update option.
I have been using this original firmware for sometime and it is great. It really makes me wonder again, what's with all the lag-fix when there is not lag issue.
What about Europe. What's latest official firmware. My device has i9000xxjm1 and kies says it's latest one :/

I got one of the Brazil/LatinAmerica I9000T phones running in the US/AT&T 3G:
Product code GT-I9000HKTTTT
PDA: I9000TUBJG5
PHONE: I9000TUBJG7
CSC: I9000TUUBJG4
Im concerned that upgrading may screw up my radio files. My phone has the 3 US/AT&T 3G bands 850/1900/200 that most of the I9000s dont. Can I just upgrade the PDA to a 2.2 ROM and leave the PHONE/CSC as is? If so can I upgrade that PDA to ANY ROM?
Im also concerned that since I have the latin american phone with brazil firmware on it, and it says on bootup that its a I9000T but its not the I9000B model that the MUST READ describes as a brazil model... So Im not sure what all pit files and ROMs that are safe to use.
Optimally, when I do upgrade to 2.2, should I try to use a MODEM and CSC file from the US/AT&T/Captivate 2.2 files, and use whatever PDA ROM I choose? That seems in my head to be what to shoot for but I'm still figuring things out here...
Also, Im confused... these ROMs Im seeing are installed via update.zip, not by the ODIN method. Will I screw up my phone by installing these update.zip files?
Is there a free method to totally back up my PDA/PHONE/CSC into individual files that could be restored later?

I downgraded to 2.1 with the i9000T stock rom
Now that 2.2.1 is out for the i9000HKTTTT (i9000TUBJP9), I wanted to see if KIES would now work. After downgrading to 2.1update 1 using ODIN ,everything appears work fine on the phone. I tried updating to 2.2.1 via KIES and still get the message "This Device's version can't be upgraded" . I tried this on a few different computers with KIES 1.5 & 2.0 and no luck.
I did do a Factory reset *2767*3855# , but still no luck.
All information on the phone appears to be OK for 2.1 update 1.
I did notice in Kies if you apply the Registry Patcher and use code CWW, you will get a different message which shows that it's currently up to date. Maybe meaning, Jamaica has not received their updates yet.
Any ideas. Very frustrating. Just trying to get this phone back to stock so it can receive updates when I give to another family member.

By any chance any one have a link for the latin America Stock rom for the I9003... I write in this tread since is the closer one I found about LatinAmerican Roms.
It sims there are only Europeans, Asians, Arabic and the US rom.
I installed every one and each of them. the signal was fading in and out, and I was only getting edge.

Just bought a Galaxy Tab from a coworker whom had already rooted and installed a custom firmware (Overcome). However, I want to re-stock it to its original state but I´m having trouble finding the correct firmware for my region Norway (Nordic).
I have tried the re-stock option that Overcome has described but this stock rom does not include Norwegian as a language. Can anybody please help me?

Hi, I'm actually having the same problem. And especially now when I've bought the nordic keyboard dock too, that doesn't work unless I have the original firmware. Anyone have any suggestions? Really need help, been working all day to fix this...still no luck

Had the same issue with not being able to get Danish samsung keyboard again after flashing custom rom. Some people even said, it was not possible to download a nordic rom.
Using the web version of Check Fus I was able to dowload a Nordic rom by selecting Sweden, and after installing it with Odin and the mr. pit file from samfirmware I finally managed to get a Nordic firmware with Danish keyboard working with the keyboard dock.

Is there any one who have the same problem with me, i can't update my phone G800F with odin the latest firmware from sammobile. All the time it stack on failed and then the phone wont to boot. i can only update the G800FXXU1ANFF firmware so my phone works again.
Is there any solution?
PS: Well finally i found the way how to install. I can install only BTU version of Firmware (United Kingdom)
Hi, from what I've read around about the S5, there are some issues with different hidden partition sizes on different region firmwares which sometimes cause difficulty in installing firmwares not from the phone's original region. I assume it is the same with the S5 mini. While there are workarounds, it's preferred to simply install a firmware from the phone's original source country.

I am in the UK with an unlocked AT&T Note 5 and I cant use the Gear VR as I need the update that enabled it.
I have tried every way to upgrade the firmware using SmartSwitch, Kies etc and every time I end up with stock firmware.
Is there a way for somebody with the updated firmware to somehow upload it so it can be flashed through odin?
