You'll have to find the smali reposition the icons. The smali is going to be in the services.jar. You'll have to decompile it to find the smali. then you would have to locate the lines to change. That is all I can provide because the smali's have different names and lines for different roms.

Hey all you talented developers,...
as our SAMOLED Displays suffer from degradation of the organic LED when constantly emmiting bright white or blue,
some of us found here the need of a hideable status bar.
I searched all the internet and all of this forum but couldnĀ“t find such an app.
Is there any app or widget possible which can hide or un-hide the status bar?
Or is there any adb code that hide it and onther adb code that un-hides it??
Any help would be highly welcome.
Somehow ist should be possible.... at least we are on android
greetz the bapsack
Edit:
P.S.
1. as far as I know no launcher hides the statusbar permanently
2. even though some (!) apps might support fullscreen the status bar is still there in most apps
Both LauncherPro and Zeam have hideable status bars. See market.
the status bar is only hidden in the launcher
if you open any app e.g. internet or navigation the status bar is back in its place
Try dolphin browser, it has full screen I think

I wonder if adding the notitlebar attribute in the framework manifest would work
No clue though, will try when have time or someone else could
Degradation? I don't think so.
Anu source?
I think the display only suffers from a minor burn-in problem, where the burn in disappears after somewhile.
well take this pic of a blank white screen aas a proof
you can still see the status bar as a shadow

ADW.Launcher has a hidable status bar. You just flick your finger UP, the status bar hides. Flick it UP again, it returns.
PS : I can fit in 5 rows of icons easily.

the aim is to hide the freakin status bar permanently
e.g.: even when navigating, web-browsing or running any other app
This adw.Launcher can NOT do!
Just start any app and zack, back is the statusbar no matter what launcher u use ADW.Launcher, Lauchner.Pro or Zeam
I have status bar burn in, viewable on the screen test blue background.
5 months, low brightness, status bar hidden most of the time using launcher pro.
Pretty sad really

That's not even a Galaxy S hah, and no burn in here with launcher pro 99% of it's life. I'm not sure how this is viewed, but if someone without a status bar is getting the same thing, it's seems a bit irrelevant in general to blame the status bar?
@bapsack
I accidently thanked you for that post hah wanted to quote it, anyways the reason for that is because it's not possible to replace that yet obviously, nothing integrates all the dynamic info it displays. It's required sorry bud!

tell me how to do and I will check
My bet is:
-make your notification bar 0-20% black
-set 50%/50%/20% R/G/B color for notification bar font and make icons with blurred edges in the same color
NO way you will get a burn.
Thnak you MACHETE.

nope... cant be done...unless you can edit the systemui.apk...
Why don't you try a widget,I don't know if you can make the battery icon in the status bar bigger, but from my point of view I think you have to make the bar bigger as well and I don't know if that can happen

you apktool to extract to extract SystemUI.apk.. i think it contains files for status bar.. and make the required changes.. i dont know how to change... me no dev
I'm trying to get a "MIUI-like" look on Holoblur ROM, and I was wondering if there is a way to get a white status bar and possibly navbar background. Maybe even white settings background if possible. I've tried the xposed framework, and the icons and text fonts and colors, etc work fine, but I can't find a module that can successfully change the status bar to white, or even make it transparent to allow the status bar background color features in the modules to work. Any help?

You'll have to either replace the status bar's png file or change the hex code in an xml file.....I'm not really a themer, just edited enough apk's....A quick google or xda search about this subject should point you in the right direction.
Hi guys, if you're seldom confused about whether it's night or morning, you might like this mod! It removes the AM/PM text from the statusbar clock when it's in 12-hour format. 24-hour clock folks obviously have no AM/PM indicator anyway, so you need not mess with this.
This mod alters framework-res.apk, which means it conflicts with burningmembers' small navbar mod. I really like the small navbar, so I've packed up a few different versions of this clock mod.
StatusBarClockNo-AM-PM.zip doesn't mess with the size of the nav bar, just removes the AM/PM text.
StatusBarClockNo-AM-PM-med-navbar_v0.2.zip comes with the medium sized navbar.
StatusBarClockNo-AM-PM-tiny-navbar.zip comes with the tiny navbar.
To revert, you can use the revert zip in burningmembers' thread.
AT&T
If you've got an AT&T device, please check out this AT&T thread.
Technical details:
For interested devs, this was a pretty simple one. The statusbar clock uses the value of the "twelve_hour_time_format" string resource in framework-res as the format string for a SimpleDateFormat. The default is "h:mm a". I just did a global search and replace to change all instances of "h:mm a" to "h:mm" (without the quotes). You have to do a global replace (i.e., "Replace all in files" in notepad++), so that you get all the various localizations. After recompiling, be sure to copy over the AndroidManifest.xml and META-INF from the original apk into the modified apk, or you'll get boot loops.
Just flashed this - with medium nav bar- and still have am-pm...

Sorry about that. I fixed it and edited the OP to link to it. Got lost in the shuffle, I guess.
There we go! Excellent work
can you help with modding the status bar to look like AOSP? I've got the decompiling/recompiling thing down, but not sure what xmls to edit or how.
Thanks!
Edit: I didn't read your complete post....
Great mod. I am on clean rom and not trying to do too much in the way of mods. This is a good one. That status bar is way to cluttered. Just flashed and it worked fine. Thanks!! :good:
Nice. I just moved the clock to the right on mine so the AM/PM appears off screen. This is probably better.
Of course if you put your clock in military time (24 hour) , there is no AM/PM .
Simple and all I wanted, but anyway to get rid of that pesky e911/location icon? Not sure anybody wants that there!
Any chance this works on D801

I have Verizon G2. rooted... The hide am/pm with Tiny nav bar zip is not working.Trying with CWM and it gets an error that it can't install. please Don't tell me the that hide am/pm with Tiny Zip is only for TWRP? But the hide am/pm with no nav bar edit is only for both? that would suck.....Because If i do the hide am/pm with no nav bar edit zip in CWM, that works.. Please help. I need this combo to work.
