Hi,
actually i wanted to post this question in the developer section, but i don't have enough postings to post there. I hope it's ok that i post the question here
I am creating a Mod for JVT and wanted to add the AOSP lockscreen. Adding the lockscreen is no problem and works fine. But once i compile a framework-res.apk the sliders of the AOSP lockscreen have two colors when pressed (wrong image loaded?!).
See here:
This even happens if i recompile the original decompiled framework-res.apk (without any changes). Only with the untouched original framework-res.apk the sliders have only one color.
I am using APKManager 4.7 (Linux) with APK Tool 1.4.1 (1.3.1 tested too).
Can you help me getting the AOSP lockscreen work without problems?
Best Regards,
The_MKay
EDIT: Found a solution: I copied all unchanged drawable-pngs to the new compiled framework-res.apk
hello
i cant figure out how to decompile and compile framework-res.apk from free optimus project nightly 6
i tried many versions of apktool and apkmanager some of them works if i change the version for compiling and decompiling and i have one version which is extra for ics and this works without changing
but if i include a framework-res.apk in the rom.zip which is successfully decompiled and compiled (without errors) the phone gets into a bootloop.
can anybody teach me how to do this correctly?
i already have tried to sign the apk and repackaged the whole rom

if i'm missing any software apktool won't compile without errors or it won't finally start cause it checks all needed sources before starting.
which category do u think is right? q&a - this is not just a question, there's an simple answer 4. dev - i haven't developed anything and want to publish it - theming apps - nothing to do with this.. :cyclops:
Has anyone else had issues compiling sense 5 apk's using VTS? I can't nothing to compile, please leave your experiences with this issue.
Thank You
I too am having issues.
I've got VTS working and have made all my XML changes to settings.apk, with the correct linkage to the resources.apk, but when I recompile, I get a whole bunch of errors from public.xml saying the string declared here is not defined.
From what I can find by searching, this has something to do with the IDs changing, but not being updated in the public.xml file.
I'm a noob at reverse engineering APKs though. I normally compile my ROMs from source.
Hoping for some guidance.
So I can't help but geek out over the idea of the build flavors from the new Android build process, from the perspective of maintaining & updating theme versions, specifically from the perspective of colored or free/donate/paid versions;
I know our normal build processes has been decompiling a base/exisiting themechooser apk with apktool, but being able to use the hierarchical setup of shared main theming assets (like all the XML redirects, or styles.xml with @Color references), while swapping out all the /drawable assets depending on the build, just sounds AWESOME.
My question is: Does anyone know if it would be possible to integrate the ThemeChooser process into a Gradle setup? (or XThemeEngine, for that matter)
Could we make a different tool to mimic this behavior of inherited / overridden assets depending on build type? (A fork of Apktool, or something?)
Would anyone be willing to work with me to try and make this happen? :highfive:
Cool! :good:
Anyone? No?
Should I have tried the developers forum?
Darn.
Hi everyone,
I can't find all necessary sources for CM 12 theming, I don't know right names of apk's where are all settings set. What I found is:
framework-res.apk -> android
SystemUI.apk -> com.android.systemui
and what I'm trying is find source apk file for package common ,
and second question, I can override file easy, but what if some source files e.g. SystemUI.apk are changed in new build CM12, is there way or source on github where can i download this uncompiled resources and this way control changes., because now I uncompile apks from CM build what I have in mobile and probably are now old or was changed. Thank you.
