TF3D crashes adding contacts to shortcuts

I have noticed that syncing contacts with my mac through "missing sync" when I try to add a contact to the "shortcuts list" (the tab "people") tf3d crashes on save.
I think it happens with contacts with a picture added.
no problem if I sync with exchange. the problem is that I am giving up my exhange account in order to keep mobileme and no other mail service.
any suggestion?

You are right, i have the same problem.
This must be a bug in Missing Sync.

I don't think its a bug in missing sync because the pictures load properly in the phone agenda. You can see them when you clic on a contact. Maybe there are stored with a different format or size that is not supported by TF3D.
Anyway this bug is really annoying, and still not fixed in ROM 1.93
A lot of my contacts have a picture, can't add them.
How can we report it to HTC ?

I have the same problem , but not for all contacts.
Sync with MAC. I think that the problem with internal pic format the contacts application is compressing the picture. If pic. size is small enough (not too big , let say) everything is OK.\

Today i wanted to test the problem with SyncMate.
But i couldn't get it to work with my Diamond.
Could anybody test it with SyncMate, if there is a Picture-Add-Problem in TF3D too?

I have the solution!
When you reduce the pixels of your photos in your contacts on the mac to 120x120 pixels, and then use Missing Sync, all will work!
Now you can add your contact to the favorits in TF3D!

is there a way to do this with the mac address book.app ?
i only have this zoom slider for my pictures but no way to actually reduce the size of the picture, do i?

yeah i figured it had to do with the size..i noticed that after i changed the sizes of my contact pix and added them to the diamond, problem solved...but then once i synced with my mac, i noticed it changed the pix some how some way...it added some sort of a black frame around it which caused the crashing...

but is there a way to lower the size without having to add every pic again?
can i just somehow reduce size?

i use this as a template, then i crop the images to fit this, and it works great

Send to your space?

When in the pictures and video application and you select an image and press menu you get an option that is called "Send to your space" does anybody know what it does or where it send ths picture as ive tried it and nothing happend.

wht it means is that you can upload a picture to your MSN Spaces account
Spaces is one among many Windows Live services....simply put, just another online profile
You need a windows live account to make use of this feature....in a way its good to register with windows live since its fully integrated to windows mobile which is why one can upload pics directly to spaces account.

Contact Pictures

Maybe I missed it, but is there an application that adds the Google images for our contacts to the contact list? I know there was a program out there that allowed you to add new pictures by snapping photos, but short of rounding up all 200 of my contacts, would prefer to use the Gmail images.
Has anyone developed something like this? If not, any hopes to see it?

You are basically after like an advanced phone book?
There is a new app on the market called Android Eye Contact Lite although, personally I think it's not for me..... it does offer what you are after.

otherwise, i found the easyest way to add pics was to to open my contacts on my laptop and add them that way, then it'll just import when it sync's...

[Q] Is it possible to HIDE facebook albums from the WP7/8 ?

I have 90+ albums on FB and I don't like Photo Hub displaying all of them, 1 Privacy issues, 2 its in Alphabetical order not Chronological... is there a way to hide some or All Facebook albums from Picture hub ?
Its impossible to do it from Facebook privacy settings as access to Photos is REQIRERD by Windows Phone App...
I was thinking maybe there is a Registry key to kill the link or maybe WP8 have settings for this ?

Can anyone make a simple apk that sets the photos from whatsapp to contacts on phone ie if a contact calls up his whatsapp photo shows up
whatsapp profile photos can be found named along with the phone number of the respective contact in the following folder :
Whatsapp\Profile Pictures\

It shouldnt be too difficult to solve this.
The Profile Pictures are the actual phone numbers of the contacts.
You need a app which accesses the phonebook and check if phone number is equal with filename.
If yes, set Picture.
You could do it a little bit more usable when you make a listview with checkboxes for the people where you can select the people since some profile pictures are very crappy and show something else than the person itself.
The only problem with that is that you have to click manually on every contact and then on the profile picture since whatsapp only downloads the picture when you want to see it in a bigger format. the thumbnails are serialized as i can see with root explorer.
The most effective way would be when you could force whatsapp to download everyones profiles picture in your list but this is over my knowledge and i bet you need root access for that. Also it would nice to access the wa.db in the databases folder of whatsapp (/data/data/com.whatsapp/databases/wa.db/). There is a list of ALL your phone contacts and a boolean variable called "is_whatsapp_user" where you could filter the ones with a whatsapp account. all whatsapp users have a additional set integer variable for the profilepicture which be can "-1" "0" or a specific number.
that would mean:

but i dont know if you can access the .db from a external app, even if you know the full path. also this must be realizied with SQLite, which means more efford.

I prefere syncme , he synchronise all your contact with facebook directly in your google account ! ( google.com/contacts ) and its more simple ! ( we hav all more user in facebook than whatsapp )

but this isnt about fb sync, there are many other apps for fb sync..

contact photo sync existing app is cool but it's not automatized that would be cool.

I also thought of making such an app, but an automatic sync is almost impossible, because whatsapp does not sync all pictures, once they manually opened, they'll be stored to sdcard.
To make it work, you would need to write a whatsapp client, or somehow force whatsapp to download the pics (but how??? )

Only issue :
I have a tendency of viewing profile pic on whatsapp (by enlarging) .. as u already know they r stored in whatsapp profile pic folder.. not i have around 100+ pics in that folder..
Wondering if you app cud provide ability to scan whatsapp profile pic folder and automatically update my address book without my intervention

the problem here is that whatsapp doesnt automatically download the images to phone, thats why this app cannot automatically sync to address book

In next version plz do add CONFIRMATION on exit .. while pressing BACK BACK BACK users tend to leave the app accidentally ..happens with me a lot

hey, whataspp doesn't download the pics but it does download a preview available when you want to see the contact list.
