Droid Incredible Source Code has officially been released.
http://developer.htc.com/
Enjoy!
OK - can anyone explain the difference between:
-Droid Incredible by hTC – Froyo MR3 – 2.6.32 kernel source code
and
-Droid Incredible by HTC (Verizon) - Froyo MR - 2.6.32 kernel source code
MR is probably the previous kernel source code and the MR3 is the new kernel source code

I have no grounds for my guess, but my guess is that MR is the manufacturer kernel, one developed by HTC and the one they support, and then the other one is the one that after verizon tested out the updated and reviewed it and kicked back and told HTC to make edits, thus is the revised kernel. But htc is releasing their version cause if anyone were to use the source kernels posted anyways, who cares what verizon thinks in the first place.
Sorry for the run on and probably being completely wrong. Just stuck in a comp lab trying to finish my Honors Thesis at Clarkson University and my Finite Element Methods lab.

My buddy is a grad from Clarkson. He loved it there, for the most part.... "drinking school with an engineering problem" is what he called it. I went to visit and go to stay at some giant house that some frat owns/rents. Place is HUGE. Basement party we had that night rocked pretty hard too...

I completely agree its a drinking school haha. I was asking if the house was red cause if so it sounds like he went to my fraternity and was curious who the friend was/if he was a brother cause I might know him.
But in terms of being a drinking school - I completely agree. I am in a Frat, I am the captain of the Mens Rugby Team (dunno which does more drinking lol) and I am the manager of both the bars on campus. On top of that the town we are in is a complete college town, has a population of like 10,000 when all 4 colleges are in session drops down to like 2000 on recess. And we have more bars per population in town than most other cities lol. There is not much to do up here but work and drink.
Mods - Sorry this is really off topic.

'01 poll indicated Clarkson population consumes more alcohol per student than any other college in the nation. Still not sure how I graduated (seriously).
MR3 = Mainitenance Release 3 = The 3rd OTA they just pushed out.

I am guessing you are referring to the hockey team, in which case I do. Personally I do not care about hockey, however being the manager of the bars on campus, I wish they would ****ing play good so people would come watch. When I was a freshman and working at the bar and they one the ECAC I would work 3 hours and take home 120$ in tips from all the alumni that would come up and just lay down tons of money. Now, I work 7 hours and am lucky if I make over 40$.

I would love to see this kernel with all the GPU+ and other goodies like in Ziggy's kernels, it would be the ultimate combo of battery, smooth UI, and superfast charging!!
Oh and also the sd card speed increase would rock in this kernel

Or for some, they might end up being supreme ruler of the world! In which case, remember me
Seriously though: I want to teach elementary school because I think that our educational system has lost alot of essentials that I had back in my elementary school days. I recently went back to a Middle School and some of the things I heard from teachers is that the students are not as focused or bright as they used to be. Tech savy yes, mentally strong, no.
I don't have anything in mind. If something needs do happen, it does, else, it don't. I don't see much in life at the moment.

Lazy means you can work but just don't want to look for a job.

I almost signed up to the British Army when i was 16 and have always regretted not following through with it. In my work i have a lot of colleagues who are ex-military and they're all great guys. Every one of them deserve the utmost respect for serving their country.
If it's what you want to do, don't let anything stand in your way! Keep us updated with your news and hopefully in future you can tell us stories about your Boot-Camp and Tours of duty!
I'm also in the process of joining the USMC. I'm just waiting for my backround check to come in but its been two months already .. I think its because I had to put in a waiver but hopefully my waivers go thru ..

When the military are used to police the civilians in their own country you know that something is wrong! Any soldier that raises a weapon to one of their own deserves everything that IS coming to them!
Good luck my friend. The people will always triumph in the end, be patient!
I deeply believe in Karma. Not as some supernatural, occult force...just that everyone has everything that's coming to them! Live your life as a good person and good things will come your way. Live your life as an evil bastard and that's how your life will end.
Live by the sword, die by the sword. What goes around, comes around. Pick your metaphor! The good will out...

There's no politicaling going on around here! So how's everyone finding their HTC, Widows Mobile phone anyway.....?
Edit: It's a shame that there have to be divisions, borders, territory, politics in real life. We are all one race and we all share the same planet. XDA is my favourite site because the things that bring us together knows no boundaries. I now have friends all over the world, all good people, and like the other 99% of the worlds population we all want the same thing! A long and fruitful life and good health for ourselves, our friends and our families.
In a forum of 4 million members i would say that XDA OT is the place to come to find friendship, understanding, respect, fun, sadness, joy, and laughter. We have member aged from 14 years to 60 years, from every walk of life, from every nation. We don't fight, we don't hate...we laugh, we share sorrow and we spread happiness. I would be a lesser person if not for the people i surround myself with here. I learn with these people, i share with these people...these people are my family!*
*The mods are especially awesome!
I was born in the military. My mom was in the Army and had me right before her Unit was deployed to Grenada or Panama or some place back then. She had the choice of signing me over to the custody of the US or get out of the military. My mom was born in the military, too. On one of the Naval bases in Hawaii. My grandpa was in the Marines. I got accepted in high school but backed out when a mess of things happened and none of my family wanted me to enlist, but rather go in after collage. Got rejected when I was 23 for enlistment and again when I was 25. Too much trouble making when I was a kid. Maybe we'll get in another world war and open the draft again. I'll join then, they won't reject me then.

A good reason? Okay. An evil villain has taken over the world and is destroying everything and killing everyone. An old tattooist does tattoos that give the person super powers. You get the tattoo and save humanity. Plus the tattoo is sick and you get tons of b***hes.

That's behind every tat on me. It's gotta mean something and you've got to believe it will always mean something,
Good and bad are not quantifiable things. You can't measure goodness. There is no such thing as a "good" reason. There are only reasons. So anybody who has a reason has a "good" reason. It's not done for you to agree with it.
I don't see a good reason. When I see people with tattoos, I don't think of them in a good way. It just looks stupid. That's just me though.

My humble opinion...
There's no real answer. My first tattoo was a giant 8-bit pixelated Mega Man on my leg. I got it because when I was a kid, my pops lost his business in Boston and we were stuck moving down to Florida where my grandparents lived. We moved into their 2-bedroom "manufactured" home in the middle of a retirement community. My folks saw that my brother and I had no kids in the neighborhood to play with, so they got us an NES and a copy of Mega Man 2 for Christmas that year. I played that game for months on end, well past the point where my parents were obviously annoyed with the music in the game. For that first few months until my family got back on its collective feet, Mega Man was my best friend. Fast forward almost 20 years later, I decided I wanted to get a tattoo, and the Blue Bomber was my choice. I was actually a little afraid that when I went back to visit my mom, she was going to freak out about me getting inked. But instead, she immediately recognized it and even thought it was a great tattoo to get.
The moral of this story? The only reason that matters is the one you rationalize yourself. To most people, a Mega Man tattoo is a silly and nerdy thing to do. To me, it's a silly and nerdy thing to do that reminds me of how much my parents cared about my happiness as a child, no matter what. I'm happy with it, and I couldn't care less if the rest of the world doesn't see or know the reason for it. Every tattoo I have means something to me, and I'm the only one who needs to know it.
I personally cannot think of a reason I'd get one. Other than the military pride that was mentioned because of the whole brotherhood the army gives you. I just don't see myself getting one, but I've heard quite a good amount of reasons for others.

I think there is no good reason simply because it's hard to remove a tattoo if you don't like this tattoo any more.

Twenty years on and i hate my tattoos now. Given the choice i would still have tattoos in the same places, but they would be different tattoos. Therein lies the problem though. Your tastes change from year to year as you yourself change, but tattoos are permanent.
I agree with Card83 and a few others that have said, it's should mean something to you, not just something that is cool at the time like a barb wire arm band because you will come to hate it.
From my Elegancia powered Sensation
Well ive always said i would only have my kids names on me.
And when my son was born I had his name tattooed onto my chest. And if i have any more kids then i will be putting there names on my chest aswell.
But apart from that i will not be having any other tattoo on me as anything else wont mean anything to me apart from "looking nice"
A friend of mine got the name of his best friend tattooed inside his wrist when said best friend took his own life two years ago. As a way to remember, and a reminder. They were very close.
And there are always more practical reasons for tattoos. You just don't always consider them. There are a lot of soldiers who get their data tattooed on various bodyparts, just in case. IED's really don't care if you want to keep you bodyparts attached, and thus the tattoos makes IDing easier.
Personally I don't have any. I'm not on good terms with needles.
So yeah banter.
I'll start, Manchester city and Chelsea bought their way to success, they used oil rich tycoons to get to the top without the money they provided Chelsea and city would be a lower table club fighting for relegation.
I have no idea what this thread is all about but just wanted to say hi mate :silly:

So yeah banter.
I'll start, Manchester city and Chelsea bought their way to success, they used oil rich tycoons to get to the top without the money they provided Chelsea and city would be a lower table club fighting for relegation.

Lol, the latest super sub. You must wonder though, if he's that good, why not start him?

You are one of the fake glory hunter fans... Of MU... nothing else.... Criticizing other teams
It doesn't matter if team is built by buying good players or by developing young talent...
What matters is the game and passion for club...
A true United fan would encourage City and Chelsea... For a better competition...
Winning with pride is what matters...

Because he is not that good, his playing style isn't really that great. It sits in the rivals general goalpost area and waits for the ball.

Exactly but that's what Van Persie does too...
The formation leaves no option for the striker apart from waiting as midfield is handled by Rooney

He started against Norwich City. He didn't score then... He is a Super Sub, not a Super Starter, like Edin Džeko.
Sent from my bowl of jelly!

Good point...he seems to do better by playing only a few minutes in the game. Also...for those complaining about his soccer skills...haters gonna hate...he still scores more often than most high end footballers I reckon
That;s his job...to be there to push the ball in :cyclops:

You seem to not be well acquainted with football, then, it seems. Other strikers not only score, but provide assists too.. he can hardly play a full 45 minutes let alone score and assist..
May the Thanks button RIP. We will miss you.

I was born in manchester, raised in manchester, i have been to games, i have done the tour, i have the kit, i have always supported them.
How am i a glory supporter?
Why would i encourage my cross city rivals, are you absolutely crazy?
Also this can be a transfer rumor thread, i decided.
Nani to Juventus sounds likely.
Snijder to Manchester United sounds unlikely
Yes Sam!! I support Chelsea lads, and I think benitez is a twat. And hopefully falcao will be a summer recruit although I doubt it :L

I can see Falcao going to Chelsea tbh, he said he wanted to leave in January, might even get him earlier!

You troll...his job in particular is to be there to finish the job. he was never an extraordinaire footballer, just a great finisher.
I've followed him ever since he was playing in Chivas

Exactly, he is an excellent old fashioned goal poacher, his pace and intelligence keeps him one step ahead, it takes a good football brain to always be their and score those important goals!
Bit like Ole gunnar
