Why a lot of introduction says X8 use snapdragon QSD8250 with 600MHZ?
BULL ****!!
What? The CPU is 600 MHz.
I'm under the impression the X8 is running an Qualcomm MSM7227 @ 600 mhz with AMD Z430 GPU, quite a good performer @ its price range imo
I don't know why do u think cpu in X8 is Snapdragon it's Qualcomm 7227

So how does g1 compare to other phone competitors in terms of gpu power? Im not sure but does the iphone have a better gpu since it can play these hq 3d games? Do otehr current android phones have better gpus?
GPU is located on the processor....look up the stats for them
EDIT: ill do it for you...
G1/Hero: 528 MHz Qualcomm MSM7201A ARM11 processor, up to 4 million triangles/sec
3GS: PowerVR SGX GPU SGX535 and SGX540 (28 MPolys/s)
The 3GS, Droid, and Pre have the same processor/GPU
OMAP3430 - 600 MHz ARM Cortex A8 + PowerVR SGX 530 GPU + 430MHz C64x+ DSP + ISP (Image Signal Processor)

where did you hear that....
The Palm Pre's CPU is a 600 MHz Texas Instruments OMAP 3430 (ARM Cortex A8 + PowerVR SGX) underclocked to 500 MHz.
Hardware-wise yes, but softwarewise, we'll see

The 1gHz version has High-performance 3D graphics – up to 22M triangles/sec and 133M 3D pixels/sec
much more powerful..they are using these to power netbooks. it has everything on one chip (bluetooth, wifi, data, etc)
But what about the original 3g and not 3gs.
The MBX Lite is capable of providing fill rates exceeding 135 million pixels per second and a throughput of 1.7 million triangles per second, depending on configuration.
original + 3g
There are many devices that have been created with gpu overclock kernels
think could be done for the galaxy s plus???
Any developer interested ???
i have mentioned it before.
gpu on the sgs+ aka adreno 205 can't be oc'ed via a kernel.
lol sak i have said it before and saying it again can you please ask doomlord to look into this matter we all know he is a pro in snapdragons, please

no use.........many have already tried but failed........
and doomlord has not oc'ed adreno gpu's for that matter
what's the reason why we can't overclock adreno 205?

Adreno GPUs are like intel GMA line of GPUs, they are integrated into the snapdragon SOC which means the Adreno GPU cannot be overclocked without affecting the whole SOC.
Other GPUs like Mali 400 and PowerVR SGX 5xx are desecrate graphics card so it can be simply overclocked without affecting the whole Exynos, TI OMAP or Hummingbird SOC to overclock the GPU
Hello.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me the difference betwwen GT-S5830 and GT-S5830i?
I've seen multiple threads for ROM's on both but I cant seem to understand the difference.
Thanks.
Different chipset
S5830 CPU: Qualcomm MSM7227 at 800 MHz
S5830i CPU: Broadcom BCM21553 at 832 MHz
S5830 GPU: Adreno 200
S5830i GPU: VideoCore IV integrated in the CPU
Thanks dude!

Hello everyone.
Did anyone tried to overclock the Intel's Atom medfield processor in the Razr I?
Till I know, this processor is originally clocked in 1,6 GHZ, however, I wonder if it can be clocked to more than 2ghz, what would increase even more the speed on this powerful device.
Thanks in advance.

The processor operates at 2GHz real, so when can overclok, performance should be monster
Can we transform our 855 chipset to 855+ or equivalent?
They both have same hardware but
Just a over clocked version
Omfg... For real? Isn't 855 fast enough?

Since sd845 and forward it's impossible to overclock cpu, only gpu.
You know that overclocking increases CPU temps, right? Can't do it that easily nowadays in phones.
