I am using launcherpro and handcent sms.
I am tying to add my handcent widget to the launcherpro quick shortcuts (the bottom icons). I can add the handcent application, but this does not show unread message count. only the handcent widget does.
Is there any way to add a widget?

Go to the Launcher Pro preferences, select dock settings and under that you can enable dock notifications to show missed call, unread sms and unread gmail numbers.

I have looked all over the place for a widget that shows unread emails directly on a home screen. Preferably with some sort of gmail sync. Has anyone seen a widget like this?
*I am not talking about an icon that shows how many unread messages you have.
Pure Messenger widget in the market. It's not free though...
sms unread count is a app that has the gmail, sms and dialer widget.
Apparently there is a problem with ADW launcher and SMS notification on the dock bar. They are missing - at least on Insanity 009.
The market application ADW Notifier fixes all that and more:

Correct, not Go SMS. But the Go Launcher plugin called Notification, that add buble notification for the number of missed call and unread SMS or eMail directly on the coresponding icon on the home screen and the dock.
I'm running a legit copy of Nova launcher, with Tesla unread count thing... Running 5.1.1 still... Installed Google allo message app which I do like, but there is NO unread badge for new/unread messages.... This is driving me crazy.
And way to add a new unread count badge for allo?
