I am looking for a home switcher for froyo but the home switcher app does not work anymore. Does anyone know of an app that does this on froyo?
It works for me in Froyo to switch between launchers. To set one as the deflaut though, it doesn't work the best. I find you have to go to "Manage Applications", find the launcher you are currently using and clear the default. Then in Home Switcher you can set the new one as default and it will stick.

The Program Monitor Widget (Samsung Task Manager) is disabled by default for most add on Home Launchers. This is because they show up in the list of running programs. If you then end the Launcher you wont have access to any screens without a restart.
You can open Samsung Task Manager from the App Drawer.

I now understand why it is missing from the launchers.
Still, is there any other widget that can do the same? show the active apps?
Hi SGS adv users!
I'm planning to replace my default home app with LauncherPro or Zeam, but I'd like to keep the option to reach the standard SGS TouchWiz Application Drawer (with positionable-apps in grids and horizontal scroll)
As any other launcher has its own drawer, I couldn't do that without a link or a shortcut icon. Otherwise I should change every time the default home, which is very uncomfortable.

Hi! i've installed the Cyanogen mod an my Wildfire, and i'm using launcher pro... But what if i would like to change my home app? I cant find the apk of home switcher which was really good... Does it work on the Cyanogen mod? Where can i find it? (not on the appbrain market... there isn't)... Are there any alternatives?
Go to settings- applications and then click on your home application, like if you use launcherpro you click on it and delete standard settings. Then press home and you will be able to choose homescreen..

Are you trying to set SPB Shell 3D as your default launcher? If so, you need to use Home Switcher for Froyo, or another home switching app like HomeSmack to clear the current default choice of launcher, then select SPB Shell 3D as your new default.

i use Home Switcher for Froyo and also use with homesmack but i got a message:
"unfortunately, we could not locate your purchase in android market. please uninstall this copy before installing a new one."
and still the home switcher wont save my spb shell 3d launcher.
what can i do?

The easiest way is uninstall, go to market and install again, then home button will open launcher dialog and mark as default, if continues, contact developer.
And sorry for that question, but u have purchased SPB Shell 3D?
Staring from Froyo Home switcher can no longer set the default launcher. Go to settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> all applications. Find your current launcher and clear defaults. Now press the Home button and set the new launcher as default
I'm trying to change the default launcher/home screen to ADW Launcher EX, but the way it explains it in the youtube video but it doesn't work (that pop up doesn't happen).
is there any other way to make it the default on android 2.2?
