Are there any plans to bring Android 2.2 to X1?
As said by google, it brings significant speed improvements which would be great as X1 have slower hardware than most android phones out there.

I thought are processor is equivalent to a ARM11? Edit also how can it not support Qualcomm when the latest Android phones are running a Snap Dragon Processor made by Qualcomm????

Friends,
I am a regular reader of this forum. But I registered just now. Because I want to make my first Thread useful. Now I got something useful to share.
For all peoples who are waiting for the O2X GB update to be available soon, the wait is almost over. LG will release its GB update for Optimus one lately this month followed by O2X .. Obviously, this is not my word. You can read this from the link below.
Here is the proof from thinkdigit:

There is a Korean Tegra 2 based LG Optimus family member on the way ( check it out on gsmarena ) with Gingerbread onboard . So , I think that they have a clue when the upadate is going to roll out . I just wish it gets to be 2.3.4 not 2.3.3

So, who will start with ICS developement?
Haha

If you are refering to the ICS image for ventana dev kit, in that case there is nothing yet. Ricardo already confirmed on G+ there are no open binaries in there, even though he has the image running on his devkit.
*********** YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! **********
Weirdly, I decided to download Eclipse and the Android tool kit... although I'm far from using the Tegra 2 chip, this is outstanding news for the dev's with any Tegra 2 device
Perhaps LG could be so kinda as to release a full driver set?

What I understood from the MoDaCo forums, the HAL component is missing from the source, which makes this kit a bit more helpfull but still not as good as it could be.
I'm no programmer so please correct me if I'm wrong

lol at the password requirements for the developer zone! Wants you to use punctuation and upper and lower case characters. I wonder how many times people have to reset there passwords!

If Atrix HAS CM9 ICS there's no reason not to HAVE IT!
Hi all,
A good friend of mine has a LG R410 laptop.
It works great but the CPU is kind of slow. It has an Intel T3200 CPU.
I googled the CPU and saw that it is a socket P.
I was wondering, will Intel T7300 / T7500 / T7700 will be OK for the machine?
Any other suggestions for an upgrade?
I'll by the CPU via eBay or an internet site that sells laptop replacement parts.
Thanks!
Might have better luck here.
