Off topic, I know and I'm sorry... But I gotta ask you Ivan.... Every single time someone ask a question (myself included) You're right there to help. How can you possibly cook all these roms and still have time to help us newbies? Are you human?

ROFL. I'm pretty sure I am.
I tend to multitask a lot... while I'm watching tv, movies at home, when I'm at work, etc I am usually here lurking and making ROMs.

SMS client

I searched but could fint anything recent about this.
I have touch 10.9.1 installed. Great. Best rom Ive tried. But... the sms client sucks. Its the original from 6.1.
Can I install leo sms client 2.02? Or a newer, better, but not slow client?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Come on! no one? Im sure there are options! I just dont want to brick my phone installing an sms client for WM 6.5
Happy bump
I think that people don't want to respond to this question because you can find the answer by yourself
Could someone point me to the answer? I havent found any 6.1 sms client, other than powersms, which looks ugly and doesnt work with mms nor e-mail. I would like a client that goes with my beautiful touch 10.9.1 rom . please? Come one it would only take 7 seconds to answer
I dont understand why people have to be so hostile. I mean Im not making a stupid question, I really couldnt find anything, Im new here. Is that how you welcome new members? damn

You should not "expect" anything. It's up to people if they want to help or not. Does not matter if there's 1000 views. People are not obligated to reply. See ya.
NGRZ28 has released Leo sms client at his hotfile folder.you can find it at www.energyroms.com/Addons ...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I'm so like wt* like now.
You need help, you're saying others are hostile and then you post something like that hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
You made my day man thanx.
HTC SMS clients on Xperia DO WORK!
and also u shouldn't judge a person by their username
people with much "better" names can be far less helpful!
not THAT bad of a question
hey, i fully agree with the fact the search button should be used first!
nevertheless i'd also like an answer to hos question.
the fact is i have about 8 000 text messages (recieved+sent) and the most of the alternative clients crash or are quite slow when they reach this point of a messaging database size
therefore if someone, somewhere has the same amount of messages and uses an alternative feel free to respond (or PM, whatever).
And no, I do not want a faster CPU (new phone) nor an Android (with his full text indexing feature)
Cheers
A./

[Q] Wi-Fi Direct?

After the JellyBean update I've noticed the Wi-Fi Direct option when I try to share a file, have any of you tried it?. There's no specific section in Settings for this feature.
Sorry about my lousy english.

Ask in Q&A section, and somebody might answer you. And watch a video from my signature.
Wifi direct let's you share files between two wifi direct enabled devices.
Same concept like Bluetooth but for tv and other devices too

To go to WIFI direct go to Settings, Tap on WIFI - not on on/off button. And on buttom right you will have it. You will need device with same thing, and WIFI router or switch I think. Never tried it.
Edit: Seems that I was wrong about need of an host (router, switch),
Look.
Wi-Fi Direct, previously known as Wi-Fi P2P, is a standard that allows Wi-Fi devices to connect to each other without the need for a wireless access point.[2] This allows Wi-Fi Direct devices to directly transfer data between each other with greatly reduced setup

Again, I understand the concept but what I don't understand is the need of you being so smart-ass in every response. Of course I can use Google, but all I wanted to know if that anyone has been capable of use the the feature in THIS phone, and for what I can see you can't provide me this answer, so stop please.

Wait and see if somebody will tell you if he used this. I think you will wait quite a time.
In first place you annoyed us with posting a new thread just for one question. And there is Q&A theread for that... Lot of people just do that. I would be a lot nicer if you had done that.

mini convert to tv

Hello!
I have a s3 mini with a broken screen and a dead battery + the proximity sensor is dead...
Now to repair it it's gonna cost more then getting a new one.
Can I convert it to different display? e.g. tv or monitor with hdmi/dvi input?

then perhaps you should not waste everyone's time by posting a thread when you already know the answer
if you had bothered to search you would have found several comments from people who have tried and not managed to get it working
and this is samsung s3 mini
not sony s3 mini
I know the answer yes, it's possible I just don't know how...
Probably I shouldn't ask this in a s3 mini forum, u really cant be nice if u own a s3 mini... Like the previews owner of mine that threw it in a wall.

feel free to show proof that it is possible, to my knowledge there is no hardware support aside from serious hardware modification to do this
which requires in-depth information of the chipset in the device
as far as being nice
you were rude first, i responded

if you dont know the answer just dont post a reply or rush. it has a posibbility to make a phone TV*
+ its hard to find with searching. send e-mail to developers. like maclaw and marcin. they know whats goin on android phones.

you just can't come and say it's impossible. Maybe someone knows something?

so please feel free to share what you know

that is a usb device that connects to the TV that allows you to share movies and pictures
that hardware has been designed to do that
as i have already stated, unless there is a detailed hardware spec of the device you cannot modify the phone to cater for your requirements
sure go ahead and experiment with connections and soldering different points on the board, but unless you have the information you stand a high chance of either damaging the phone further or burning your tv hdmi port
so has there been any information found on how to do this?
please share as i am keen to see the results of your investigations and testing

it's also possible to fly to space but it requires some things configured
my statement still stands that it is currently not possible
no one has tried or even likely to bother trying since there is no detailed technical spec document shared to the public
It would take days maybe even longer to be able to map out the full circuit board just to understand what happens where and what is needed to make the conversion
just accept this and leave it at that
