I have a custom rom and am running the stock touchwiz but it has no installed Samsung Widgets. I would like some apks, or something I can keep on my SD card if needed later.

does anybody know which file from the captivate system dump contains the samsung widgets. i'm trying to find the widget that contains the daily briefing and all that stuff. I'm running 2.2 aosp rom. i also have touchwiz launcher and the aosp launcher but the samsung widgets dont show up with either one.
so can i take the samsung widget feeds and updates on of 2.4.1 and put it in 2.3b3or b4 and if so i would i go about doing it ?

so i did it my self i had a samsung widget zip file and replaced the feeds and updates apk with the one in cog 2.4.1 and then used rom manger and now i got feeds and updates on cog 2.3b3 so if anyone eles wants to do it here is the zip file

Hy Guys i uninstalled my weather widget. I used 2.3.5 JVQ and now i want it back because i don`t like other weather widgets. Is there any way to download stock weather widget for i9000? thanks
Pull it from the firmware. Was it from an AOSP firmware or a Samsung Touchwiz firmware? Either way, just grab it from ththe firmware.

Is it possible to move the default widgets to an AOSP ROM?
After moving to CM7, I find that the my favorite News widget was the one included in the stock OS, and I was wondering if there was a way to move it. Simply pulling the APK from the deodexed ROM doesn't work. Is there another way?
TL;DR: I want me the stock News widget.

I am using N7000 with stock rom.......i've just OTA my N7000 note 1 from 4.0.4 to 4.1.2 today.
I found the 4.1.2 accuweather widget is 5x2 and cannot re-size while the 4.0.4 accuweather widget is 5x1 only and can re-size
i loved the old one.....
i've tried rename all accuwaether related apk and odex file in system/app, and copy from another 4.0.4 N7000 below files to system/app:
AccuWeatherDaemonService.apk
AccuWeatherDaemonService.odex
SamsungWidget_WeatherClock.apk
SamsungWidget_WeatherClock.odex
i also changed permission of these files to rw-r--r--
after reboot....no luck....4.1.2 accuweather widget gone...and 4.0.4 accuweather widget does not appear.....
I am wondering is there anyway to install the old 4.0.4 accuweather widget to 4.1.2??

For any .zip MODs your phone must be rooted.
1st u need to make a copy for ur JB4.1.2 below items
AccuweatherDaemon.apk & odex
AccuweatherWidget.apk & odex
AccuweatherWidget_Main.apk & odex
u can always make it more simple for u to flash a ics Accuweather by using
auto-perm-fix kernel support.zip from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240619
just download "auto-perm-fix kernal support.zip" n make 2 copies of it !
make 1copy for ur JB incase u want it back !
n 2nd for the ics which u want to install !
then delete all the JB items written above as mentioned
use Philz safe kernal flash it will do !
