LGP500 AmberHome ROM
This is the first ROM I have ever created and its very close to the stock one. Only some preinstalled apps are removed and some features added. I don't have the time to make much modifications so don't expect much "killer features" in this ROM.
The main intention for creating this ROM was that I was low on internal memory all the time so the main feature for me is the Darktremor Apps2SD support.
If you want to overclock, install this kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=866774
This ROM ist based on the original european Firmware and you can download it here: http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/LGP500/ANEUBK/V10c_00/V10C_00.kdz

Custom status bar:
THIS WILL NOT WORK WITH STOCK ROM! Your ROM needs to be deodexed!
Many people wished a black status bar (including me) so I took a look into it. The tricky part of making a black status bar is to get the clock, date and ticker text color to white. There are some tools here in the forum for doing this automatically but none of them worked for me so I searched for a description, how to make this manually. I found it in a youtube video.
The easier part is changing icons, battery symbol etc because there is the great Ultimate Online Theme Kitchen. This is really great. Just click together what you want and let this kitchen cook your theme. . Most features should work but I have not tested them all.
If you want to create your own status bar feel free to extract the framework-res.apk from one of the following files. If you want to create a black status bar use the first one, if you want to create a white status bar use the second one.
These files are flashed like a ROM. (First reboot takes very long)

Credits and Donations
Though it took me some nights to create this ROM and to create the black status bar I only used tools created by others. So if you want to make a donation please make a donation to them, not me.
drellisdee for the great recovery and the first OC Kernel. Thank you very much!
dsixda for the great and simple kitchen. Everybody can create a ROM with it. Thanks very much!
The team behind the Ultimate Online Theme Kitchen. This makes it possible to create great simple themes. Thank you very much.
And a big thanks to the others who developed the tools I used. Mainly: Windows Enabler, DZExtract, unyaffsmbn, nandroid, ...
Installation:
1. Root
Rooting the phone is very simple. Look this thread: [APP]SuperOneClick v1.5.5 (Root, Unroot, Enable Non-Market App, Get UNLOCK code) - xda-developers
You can also root the LG P500 with the z4root market app.
2. Install custom Recovery
See here to install custom recovery: Custom recovery Optimus One P500/Thunderg - Android Forums
3. Partition SD-Card
Because this ROM uses Apps2sd you need an ext3 partition on your sd-card.
Make backup of sd-card
boot into recovery (HOME+VolumeDown+Power)
select "Partition sdcard"
select "Partition SD" and confirm with menu
set swapsize to 0 with volume-down (no Swap-Partition) confirm with menu
create EXT-Partition with 512MB (confirm with menu)
after partitioning select "SD:ext2 to ext3" and convert ext2 to ext3
restore backup of your sd-card
4. Wipe
For first installation of this ROM you should do a full wipe:
boot into recovery (HOME+VolumeDown+Power)
select "Wipe"
select"Wipe data/factory reset"
select "Wipe cache"
select "Wipe Dalvik-cache"
select "Wipe SD:ext partition"
back to main menu to flash ROM
5. Install ROM
Copy Zip of ROM to SD-card. Do NOT extract!
boot into recovery (HOME+VolumeDown+Power)
select "Flash zip from sdcard"
select correct zip of ROM from list
confirm with menu
reboot phone (Reboot system now)
Thanks for sharing. I will try when i got it. And I have some question. This is work for asia version?

In this ROM Apps2sd working. Great job. With 50 apps I have 117 MB free memorry (30 MB before).
Thank you
I'm having problems figuring out the difference between Froyo's native app2sd functionality and the methode that's used here (seperate partition on the external sd card). Could someone please explain it to me?
APS2SD work like a charm ! Thank you !!
Thank you for the work on this ROM!
Just flashed, everything worked well. Coming from the USA Tmobile stock rom, the aesthetics are much better in this
Linpack MFLOPS score went from 3.6 to 7.4!
Everything is tops so far. Any problems I will post, but so far so good!
Thanks again from the US!
Good job, I did exactly the same with my personal ROM, also through the no-brainer dsixda's kitchen.
I suggest you enable hardware accel, change vm.heapsize to 48mb and replace ADW with LP.
i am using ADW, so ADW is ok. LP cost money, btw
ADW is sluggish. LP ftw (and it's free).

Sorry, I don't really know. The ROM is based on the V10c Version which is linked here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9263813&postcount=3
So if this version supports Asian language, my ROM will support it, too.

Froyo Apps2SD: App must support it. You have to manually move the app to SD. Only parts of the app are moved to SD. Does not support Apps with widgets.
Darktremor Apps2SD (used in this ROM): Needs ext3 partition on SD-card. Every App is moved to SD-card (even those with widgets). Saves lots more of space. Disadvantage: You can't remove SD card from device while device is powered on.
I think Darktremor Apps2SD is much better than Froyos so I added it to the ROM.

Currently playing around with 48MB Heap and HW acceleration. ADW is my favorite and will stay (will be updated soon).

Just search for "LG Home" in Market but be aware that some of the standard widgets are removed, though some of them (at least the calendar widget) are available in the market, too.
Wow, a custom rom already? That's great!!!!
Thank you!!
Hi, I have this phone recently, and I would have some questions:
1. How to backup the original ROM from the phone before you install this rom changed?
2. How to return to the original version of the rom hour did not go well? you could put the steps back?
3. Everything works with this rom? any malfunction?
sorry for the bad english but i'm italian and newbie of android world

please give us one more contribution.... we would love to have it ASAP if you wish to make it.... please

go ahead...its just great.... even i want a simple apps2sd hack.... i am running very low internal memory..... i hope someone will help us very soon....
A2SD coming up soon, optional via the MoDaCo Online Kitchen.
I forget to mention that this ROM also moves your system dalvik-cache only to /cache... freeing up more data space for your, er, data and apps.
P
and what about the flash?
do I simply have to flash the update.zip through the recovery without a wipe?
in this way will I save the applications and configurations as it was just an update?
Correct. Flash update zip via a modified recovery, no wipe needed.
P
Paul give us app2sd on your next release...i need it as soon as possible...please
i don't wont to stress paul...his is the best work i've seen right now

Afternoon everyone!
I've put this ROM up for everyone to have a play with while I try and resolve an issue. This ROM has the MCR build optimisations, my custom kernel and other good stuff, however I seem to be having issues remounting and writing to the /system partition, which is scuppering Dropbear for the ROM. While I investigate this, enjoy!

O2X FLAIR GB
This ROM was thought for those who need a stable, fast, optimized, customizable and elegant ROM.
A ROM reference especially for those who don't want to change ROM every 2 days or for thos who always want a stable ROM in their SD card in case of need!
Updates will be made only in case of new releases by LG, or in cases of extreme necessity.
STABLE:
I tested and stressed it for a few days and seems to work really well!
FAST AND OPTIMIZED:
-Based su Gingerbread 2.3.4 (much fast)
-Added ROOT permissions (superuser and busybox)
-Removed some unnecessary applications (such as antivirus) that take a lot of memory.
-etc/init.d script support
-Added several optimizing scripts
-"Zipalign" all apk involved!
-AdFree
-Gps.conf from the Fr13 plus by Leomar (first time: fix in 30sec)
CUSTOMIZABLE:
FLAGS SUPPORT!
NOW YOU CAN CUSTOMIZE THE INSTALLATION AS YOU LIKE!!!!!
Check the "INSTALLATION" SECTION (ON THIS POST)
ELEGANT:
After hours and hours of hard and exhausting work I have been able to do the porting on Elegance theme (fruit of my and Leomar 75 work) on this Gingerbread version!
This time, however, there are minor adjustments that certainly the most careful eye will notice.
In addition, I had to really improve so much that the stock ROM does not implement by default (such as the screen turns off CRT animation GB style)
Added the TowchWiz 4.5.1 Fr4gg0r (optimized for LG O2X ROMS).
INSTALLATION:
You have to flash the new baseband that find below
Requirements:
1. ROOT PERMISSIONS
2. ClockWorkMod Recovery CWM
CWM-based Recovery 4.0.1.5
3. Baseband: V20c-EUR-XX-AUG-02-2011------->GUIDE
CUSTOM INSTALLATION THROUGH FLAGS:
THIS SCRIPT IS COMPLETELY BASED ON THE WORK DONE FOR THE MIUI ROADRUNNER EDITION!!! ALL CREDITS GO TO THEM!!
The flags allows you to activate a number of options that allow you to customize the installation of the ROM.
To activate you simply rename the rom zip file by adding the following FLAGS:
OPTIONS FLAGS:
-fullwipe = With this flag it is possible to fullwipe automatically during the installation (with good service)
-nopsound= This flags allows the activation of Power On/Off sounds
-elegance= Install ELEGANCE 2.0 theme
Example:
If I rename the file: LGO2X_FLAIR_GB-v20L4-fullwipe-elegance-nopsound.zip
to
LGO2X_FLAIR_GB-v20L4-fullwipe-elegance.zip
In the example we have a ROM that makes a full wipe, install ELEGANCE 2.0 theme and "DO NOT" disable on\off sounds!
REMEMBER: ALWAYS DO A FULL-WIPE!
Clean Installation:
0. Nandroid Backup (from CWM)
1. "wipe data/factory reset"
2."wipe cache partition"
3. "advanced", "Wipe Dalvik Cache"
4. "Install zip from sdcard", "Choose zip from sdcard", and select the zip of O2X FLAIR GB
5. Wait and reboot
Installation Completed.

No PC here so is it possible to flash it and use with 725 BB ?

I am testing this rom now. Everything works great, but why is old kernel still there?
Hi, I'd love to try this but I wasn't able to get this up and running. Previously I was on the 0725 release, rooted of course. I am fairly certain that this release is using Ext3 but I got instantly into a boot-loop not even getting past the initial LG logo. I used the BACKtoEXT3 tool just in case, however no change.
Any ideas?

The baseband on first post is 725 but with little changes.
You can flash the rom with the old 725 but it shouldn't work very well.

It's very strange!
Try to flash (trought smarthflash) a stock LG rom with the baseband on first post, than root, flash the recovery, and flash the rom!
Ehh. Unfortunatly on this rom is the same problem as modaco. When data connection is off wifi doesn't work.
Second. We can't turn off data connection by using apk like apndroid etc.
So its no changes for me here comparing to modaco..

CREDITS:-
nasty007 -main porter of new improved version.(thanks for all the work, great communication and permissions)
faia -initial porter and original source of older version(thanks for earlier work)
slymobi -fixed dialler, messaging, camera video recording, deskclock issues.
saadislam - fixed the fm radio, new framework resized and settings menu edits ( cant thank you enough )
lo2ay/lewa- source of some bug fixes
Credit to dev of cronmoda2sd+
I absolutely loved this rom when i came across faia's version, but it had a lot of modding needed for xda sharing.
TODAY (thanks to nasty007) WE GET A CLEAN, XDA SAFE AND MUCH IMPROVED MOKEE (cm7 based)FOR THE WILDFIRE
Main credits to nasty007 for porting a new version of Mokee to our wildfire, this is a much improved rom and interface, Menu and settings are now all language specific,we had some bugs which are fixed and we still have some minor issues remaining. The rom is now ready for release. I have fixed main bugs as listed in credits.
Remaining issues/bugs.
*. You inform us of anymore, if anyone has solutions to any issues then please inform. Thanks.
I am not a developer and have little experience in major fixes etc etc so please don't complain or ask for eta's as they will happen if and when available.
Disclaimer
Flash at your own risk blah blah blah............ I am not responsible for you or your phone.
Recommended:-
Total fresh flash of rom and apps so no conflicts from previous versions or different roms arise.
how to : -
1.reboot into recovery
2.wipe data/factory reset
3.wipe cache
4.(Advanced menu) wipe dalvik cache.
5.(mounts and storage menu) format sd-ext,format system, format data and format cache.
6.(only for mtd users, skip to #8 if you don't use mtd) install bravo recovery file, repeat the format of system, data and cache from #5.
7.reboot recovery.
8.install mokee rom zip.
9.flash gapps.
10.reboot (mtd users, install the bravo boot file prior to reboot )
It is quite a large rom! so make sure you have enough space (Custom MTD users) - I would recommend 200 40 at 1st, then alter as desired after checking sizes)
Good size is 185 20 for me as I need quite high values for universal rom flashing.
The a2sd+ is still available if you want it.
Please be patient whilst on boot screen as it takes a while to boot up.
Cant think of much more to say other than..... give this badboy a chance.
I WILL TRY TO HELP AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE BUT REMEMBER, I AM NOT THE CREATOR OR A DEVELOPER.
Remember......give it time to boot
NOW I HOPE YOU ENJOY.
Mokee V2.2 download link
http://db.tt/MoPzuuZz
UPDATES ARE IN POST 2
NEW MOKEE V2+ changelogs and updates
CHANGE-LOG
Fm radio now working.(thanks saadislam)
Removed bladeparts.apk/goo manager.apk/PIM.apk
Added mms.apk/dialerex which now fixes the lockscreen issues rebooting the phone.
Settings menu edited in line with changes.(thanks saadislam)
Attached files.
If you prefer PIM then delete dialer and mms apk's (Don't delete phone.apk this needs to remain) and install PIM.apk.
Sony Bravia Engine (Gallery Enhancement)
Beats Audio Enhancement (Headset Enhancement)
Updates (fixes and tweaks to be flashed over main rom)
Again many thanks to saadislam :good: :highfive::victory:
V2.1 UPDATE
Added torch.apk (power widget flashlight still wont work with it though)
System font back to DroidSerif-Italic/bold
Wifi scan interval increased and minor buildprop edit.
Overclock settings now working from cm7 settings
new cm7 settings applied
2.2-UPDATE
ALL THE 2.1 UPDATES + NEW FRAMEWORK BY SAADISLAM (fixes pattern lock sizes etc etc) + NEW CLOCKOPIA FONT
2.3-UPDATE
All fixes +
saadislams new settings/flash widget mods.
phone delay tweak (should be faster now)
(just flash over rom as usual)
mokeecontacts fix.zip= fixes the ability to add new contacts, this however leaves the stock cm7 contacts list ui messed up so its best to keep using the dialer ex or your own desired app for a cleaner ui. just flash the zip via recovery and reboot.
just in case

Basic instructions for use this rom.
===============================
For use my rom, you must start of 2.3.4 Android version (or high)..You can download this firmware S5570XWKTN and flash with odin following THIS guide.
Installations of Recovery 5.2.0.8 by Squadzone
----------------------------------------------------------
If you start from stock firmware 2.3.4 or 2.3.6, you can install the cwm following
THIS guide
If you just have a custom recovery (cwm 4 or rz), you can download THIS zip and flash from recovery for update at version 5.2.0.8
Sdcard partition
------------------------------
For best use of this rom..you must have a ext partition:
- Go in ricovery mode;
- Select "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition";
- Select "advanced" and "wipe dalvik cache";
- Now Select "advanced" and after "Partition SD Card"
- Choose ext4 format label..assign 512 mb at partition and 0 (zero) at swap
- Go back and make all wipe ("wipe data/factory reset", "wipe cache partition" e wipe dalvik cache")
Flashing ROM
-----------------------
- Go in recovery mode;
- Make all wipe ("wipe data/factory reset", "wipe cache partition" e wipe dalvik cache");
- Select "install zip from sd card" and after "choose zip from sd card";
- Select my rom and wait end of procedure;
- Now Select: "reboot system now";
- First boot requires long time (up to 10 minutes)..all normal.
===========================
First boot and first steps
=========================
Bug and known Issues
----------------------------------------
None..you tell me
Airplane Mode
------------------
When you first start, you will find in Airplane mode: normal, that's a feature that I wanted to integrate for those who-like me-do not have a data plan and want to avoid losing money with automatic connection.
Adding Google Account
-----------------------------
The Google Account must be entered ONLY from this route: Settings\ Accounts & sync \ Add Account.
Using Titanium Backup
---------------------------
Titanium should be used in an intelligent way: no integration of Dalvik cache, no recovery of system applications, no recovery of accounts and access points.

BBM won't work on mini,as the app is meant to work only on armv7 devices. It is not the problem of any rom.
Ontopic: Nice rom
thanks sir, will upgrade soon from New Experience cm7.2 to New Experience to cm9.2.:good:
I downloaded ur rom but unfortubately the phone hangef every time on the second boot. In fact i removed s2e and mountsd script thru root manager and also removed odex file of s2e so that i could use int2ext script. But no luck till now. Your rom actually is very promising and would be a milestone in 9.2 roms. Can you look into this and advise?

maybe try another USB slot on your computer. It works fine with my system (Laptop Ubuntu 13.10).

I think its the problem of cm9.2 because this's happened to me. But if u dont want change ur rom i have this way to copy ur file to sd card: boot to recovery,go to advance and mount ur sd card.this is my way.hope can help u.cheer!
USB mass storage works
when u connect phone via usb
go in settings>>storage
just tap on menu button usb options>>tick on mass storage
Edit: if ur pc doesnt detects the phone and no options r visible on statusbar like debugging...etc then install samsung USB drivers for mini go to http://hotfile.com/dl/133929348/9107244/SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_v1_3_2300_0.zip.html
