I got a new computer for my birthday and it didn't come loaded with windows. But i had already bought a windows 7 home disk from Microsoft. So i loaded it up and everything, typed in the correct key and it told me it wasn't valid. I have used the same key twice before on my laptop and my old computer and it worked just fine. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
i think the limit is three times. you said you used it twice on your laptop, even though its the same computer, everytime you reformat it counts as another use.

No on the Booklet that came in it told me i could use it on 5 computes.
Google How To Geek and click on the W7 tab over there...Ask in their forums and may be the experts come to your rescue.
Good old DRM, keeping the honest people honest. Pirates can activate Windows with one click, and inevitably WGA will be a pain in the ass for all the legitimate customers

As per Xda-Dev rule no 6. Posting warez, cracks, serials or describe ways isn't permitted here. I hope you are already aware of that.
@Austin021296
If the serial no doesn't work, ask to the seller you brought the windows from, or the MS support. Peoples here at xda-dev cannot do anything about your issue or we aren't ms support team.
Thanks...
Best Regards

Hi ,
I'm a new user of PPC and wondering if there anyone here to tell me if there is a better dialer and SMS pad for my o2 IIs. I realise the O2 mini have that feature of intellidialer. It really save time to access to the contacts just like normal mobile does.
Are there any download of the dialer and the sms pad? can anyone help me on the step by step of the installing and setup part?
Thanks

Okay guys..shed your wisdom... If you were in my shoes trying your hardest to start your career...what do you do when there are no jobs and no oppurrunity for us teens with no experience? How the hell am I supposed to compete against guys with 10 years experience willing to work for 20 an hour?

Yes I interned at 16 when I was legally able to work... They let me sit with machinists and watch them machine in return for me cleaning up metal chips and sweeping.. Thats where I got the interest in machining engineer work

Am I supposed to be asked for the serial number for Spb GPRS Monitor that came with my Diamond? Cause I'm being asked for the serial and I can't seem to find the serial anywhere in the box.

The Diamond is new and I installed it from the CD. It didn't asked for anything for sometime but one day it just asked me for the serial.

That is because it is a trial. Some of the software on the CD are trials.. Sort of an advertisement to try them and see which of them you like. You have to purchase the serial if you want to keep on using the software.

Just learned about this program from engadget.

It sounds really easy and fun to create your own app. I'm trying to think what app I need for myself.

cute. my draw back is the apk's i think of would require something of more complexity. however, i do like the the opportunity to build simple apps.
Perfect!
This is a great gateway to get people into developing.
Snaps for Google.
Will check this out. Thanks for sharing.
Just signed up a couple hrs ago, can't wait to try it out
Sent from my European Vogue using XDA App
I signed up, but it looks like it requires a driver to connect the phone to Windows. Even with the dual mount sd widget the appinventor Windows program wouldn't recognize my Vogue.
Does anybody know how long it takes to receive the download after submitting a request form? I'm very anxious to try this and I filled out the form yesterday
Signed up. Looks amazing, just what a guy with no programming skills needs. Now, how long do we need to wait? That's the main question.
Yeah I signed up two days ago. Hopefully we will receive download links within the next week or so. But this looks perfect for me. I've already done some of this building block programming with vB express. Its easy and fun to mess around with for sure.
Signed up for my Android device. Man, wish they had something like this for WinMo. Better yet, wish they had something like this for PC platforms!!
waiting game
Anyone know how long until we get the invite?
I submitted for an invite a few days ago yet no invite.
I want it NOW! Haha
Mhh, sounds weird, but should work well for standard things
I will stay at .net and objective c
This looks great. Next phone will be Android. I'll keep my HD2 for FpseCE.
ya I signed up, seems like awhile ago, I really want to try this out cant wait hopefully they accept my form thing

After fill out the request form they say couple of weeks, as i know Google it means 2-3 weeks... So next or overnext week it should be there. Depending on how many ppl they want invite and how many have signed on...
So...anybody who has gotten the invite should hook a brother up with the install file...*cough* PM

From reading the site with all the information and such i dont think its something you download, but more of a browser based tool. Not quite sure how that would work... But it did say in the browser. Chrome extension maybe?
And if you watch the video they are doing it from within the browser. So no download. Im assuming that its not open to anyone because the site says to go to the website that we sign up at. So when we start seeing a log in button there, we know were in business.
I downloaded the latest mini kies off the Samsung site..loaded the correct drivers for Vista 64bit..
When I connect the usb port it starts checking the comes back with Failed to connect with the model information server
Is this normal ? It shows the correct version of my Captivate, but no firmware information.
Is this a AT&T issue..or that of Samsung ?

Yes.
This has been going on for at least a day. There are some other posts about it, especially on the is this FINALLY it? thread. I think it's just AT&T and/or Samsung doing some server maintenance.
Well all I can say is that this is extremely retarded way of getting anything done.

Sure diddly is. Of course you are talking about AT&T and Samsung so it's well known the way they do business is retarded.

I used the term retarded because it is derogatory...to those poor soles who are mentally challenged I meant no disrespect. They can't help their condition...AT&T and Samsung can

This is incredible.. finally Microsoft is waking up!
It’s been a while since we posted something. Between fixing state machines and avoiding the paparazzi, we have been busy tinkering with Microsoft behind the scenes.
As you may remember, one of our goals was to make Windows Phone development more accessible. Plans have recently solidified and we can now reveal a solution we’ve been working on.
As announced on the Windows Phone Dev Podcast, we will soon be launching an approved Windows Phone unlocking service as part of ChevronWP7 Labs. This will be available to developers across all skill levels and all regions

Big Yes!
Sent from my HD7 T9292 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Microsoft finally to support him
wait, one has to pay to use the unlocker? Or did I read that all wrong?
EDIT: Nope I read right
The service will require a small fee — currently via PayPal — to offset costs but we assure you it will be more affordable than the App Hub. Those who wish to write and immediately publish apps are recommended to sign up to the App Hub instead.

It is not MS themselves who are making this. It is a developer who is creating this tool and MS is supporting it.
If you cant find it in yourself to support the developer for this awesome tool then stay locked and dont complain.
dev unlocking a phone is hardly a jailbreak. we still cant even run native apps
